This smells like nothing but licorice on me. I can't detect any of the other notes at all. I do love black licorice, but I don't know that I want to smell like it. I suppose this is one more to set aside for a few months and try again. Came back to say that no, the licorice never goes away. This is overwhelming licorice. No cherry, no musk, just licorice. Last time I ventured to sniff the imp, I got it on my finger when opening it and smelled black licorice for 2 days. This is so overwhelmingly licorice that I don't think I will be able to eat black licorice again for months, which is sad. I do like licorice.

This smelled like soapy perfume in the bottle, and not much better on. However, after a good 3-4 hours, it warmed up and became a much more pleasant scent. I kept catching whiffs of cherry, almost like dragon's blood (most scents tend to do this on me) with some vanilla and ylang-ylang. It's a very pleasant scent now, 7 hours after I put it on. I find that most of the scents that smell soapy or overly church perfume-y on me are much much better after a few months, so I'm going to save this one and try it again. Hopefully that soap will go away and the lovely scent I'm smelling now will dominate. Edited about a month later to say that the soap has indeed disappeared and this is a wonderful musky vanilla cherry scent now. Lovely.

This is one of few scents I've tried that I didn't care for at all. I even tried to let it sit and age for a few months, but it still just smelled like soap to me.

The overwhelming agony of passion crystallized into a singularly dark and magnetic blend: bittersweet neroli, black patchouli and black musk, gilded by apple, bergamot, blood red rose, teak, and vanilla. The first time I tried this, it was awful. It smelled like old church lady perfume. But after a couple months, when I pulled it out again, it was glorious!! I wanted to sing. it's one of the best and sexiest patchouli scents I've ever sniffed, and doesn't come off as a head shop. There's also a honey vanilla smell in there and a touch of cherry, but almost every BPAL I've tried takes on a little bit of cherry on me for some reason, even if it's not listed.

This smell is to die for! It has notes of honey, creamy vanilla, a deep but light amber, and it is all blended together so very well. It's similar to Snake Oil on me, and I love them both, but Snake Oil lasts a bit longer.

I do love this scent, but I wish it was a bit longer lasting. It's one of the best smells ever. I have found that if I put a little bit in a spray bottle with some oil and aloe and use it in my hair, it lasts forever. So that's my preferred use for Snake Oil.

In the imp, I smell just overpoweringly strong perfume smell of no particular origin. Not really pleasant, but then, most of them aren't in the imp to me. That strong perfume scent lasted a few minutes after I applied it and I didn't think I was going to like it. Which made me really sad, because I was in love with this scent from the moment I read the description! After is cooled down, though, it turned into exactly what I was expecting. Kind of a mix between Dagon's Milk and Perversion, two of my other favorite scents. It has the milky sweet dragon's blood smell of Dragon's Milk, but there is something deeper and kind of sexy in there as well. I'm definitely going to buy a full bottle.

I can't give this scent any better description than Beth did. It's powerful, and strong. And absolutely divine. Dragon's Blood smells mostly like cinnamon and cherries on me, but those alone can't explain my love for this scent. It's deep and complex and have hints of other notes in it, though I can't tell what. It is awesomely powereful and long lasting. I love.

Dragon's Milk makes my heart happy. It has the powerful cherry-cinnamon undercurrent of Dragon's Blood, but with a creamy vanilla in the forefront. The two mix so incredibly well! The only complaint I have is that it doesn't last long enough. This, to me, is Dragon's Blood mixed with Chimera.

This is one of the first scents I tried, and it is definitely sex in a bottle! It smells similar to O on me but a bit deeper and longer lasting. I can't bring myself to wear this since I've been single, for personal reasons...

This is one of few scents I've tried that I just plain don't like. I gave it a second chance, and a third, and it's still a no. I can't pick up the honeysuckle or any of the other notes for that matter. This smells mostly like soap and/or old lady perfume. The kind that I associate with church and oncoming migraines.

This is one of my favorite BPALs so far!! It smells really heavy and incense-y in the imp, as many of them do to me, but after applying it immediately turns into a sweet but sexy honey and incense with a bit of connamon smell. I adore it! And it's also the longest lasting one I've found.

I grabbed this imp, not remembering the description AT ALL, and was so surprised to smell this sweet chocolate! It smells delicious in the imp, which, in my experience, even the best BPALs usually do not. After applying it the first time, it was gone in about 5 minutes, and I was sad. But I put it on again today and a good 8 hours later I'm still getting whiffs of smokey chocolate vanilla goodness. Yum! I only the most subtle hint of the sandalwood, unlike what others on this thread have stated.

This is a beautiful scent. I adore coconut and it's hard to find *good* coconut scents. It smells more like commercial perfume in the imp than it does after applying; I find this to be true of most BPALs. But after I apply it it turns into a lovely complicated coconut scent. Unfortunately, it is very very subtle on me and usually dissapears within an hour or so.
