1st Sniff: Chocolate and nuts. Delicious. Edible. Drizzled it down my cleavage and put some on my wrists. As it dies down, it stops smelling so 'nutty', and ends up like deep sexy organic cocoa powder with a bit of a bite. In fact, I know EXACTLY what it smells like- the dairy-free chocolate cookies I make at home, onl with cherries instead of ginger. Delicious. Truly scrumptious. 2 hours later- it's faded quite a bit, is now a smooth, yet biting dark rich scent/ I wore it for my last exam, and it just made me feel confident and calm. Fades quickly with my body chemistry, though. This is going on my 'big bottle' list.

In the bottle: Cheap aftershave On me: Dries into a nice masculine cologne scent. Fresh and sex, but not quite me. May have to persuade Jos to try it on- take the imp with me to meet him on thusday. If he likes it, he'll get a big bottle next celebation we have

In the bottle: Chocolate and nuts. Mmm. One: first, the same chocolate an nuts smell. Quickly drys down into a uniform dark bitter/sweet scent. The nutty smell has proven to be a combination of sadalwood aand something else- possibly the Myyrh? I smell foody, without being TOO foody. In fact- I'm making myself hungry. It's sexy as well- like warm, good quality chocolate, dripping onto the body of someone youve lusted after for years. Seems to fade fairly quickly...I think I'll put a bit more on. On my neck pehaps. I'm going to meet my man and I think he'll like to take a bite... In short- this makes you smell edible. Not for the shy.

I love this at the beginning, and in the bottle. Quite fruity and almost bitterly dry, and it's beautiful on the drydown. However, like any other scent with musk, it becomes mostly musk with a faint hint of the original scent. I guess my body chemistry just brings out musk more than anything. I like musk, so It's good, but I'd just like it if I could have a more balanced scent now and again.

First sniff: musk, with a bitter sharp overtone. Hmm. Quite like this. On the skin: almost immediately tuns into a sharp piney/musky scent. It certainly doesn't become earthy on me. Just sharp and sweet at the same time. Not my usual kind of scent- but I do like this. Will edit this in a few hours, to say what it turns into. I keep getting fruity ovetones wafting up from my bosom, which is nice. Half an hour o so later it's mellowed quite nicely. It's now a sweet musky pine, which I LOVE. Now, anothe half hou or so later, it's mostly musk with a top note of sharp fruitness, which ou can onl smell from a distance. I think I prefrred it before. But- still lovin' it!

Nero Vice Snake Oil Could they be quite moisturising soaps, with soya milk and stuff? There's no point me using them if they dry me out and make my rashes flare up.

First sniff from the bottle just HIT me with the deep, wet earth scent of patchouli. Something sharper and lighter if you sniff hard enough- maybe the sandalwood? When I first put it on, it was still that same damp ground scent, but as it dried down it became lighter. It's around an hour after putting it on now, i still smell patchouli as the main note, but it now has a spicy smoky feel to it as well. It smells warm- What I imagine every time I sniff my wrist is a warm summers day in a forest, preparing for a storm. The sun is beating down, the scent from the soaked earth is rising, the air is muggy and waterlogged and everything just smells and feel ready to break free in a torrent of warm rain and lightining. That's what it smells like to me. ADDED Oct. 31: In the bottle: bitter sweet fruit. Odd, but very VERY nice On the skin: Smokier and musky, still with a slightly sharp, bittersweet top note. After 30 minutes: Woodsmoke and pine. Like this very much. To me it smells like the sadly discontinued lush Bath Ballistic Deep Forest- like someone burning their old christmas tree and the smell of that sap permeating everything just above the scent of burning wood. It's fairly masculine, but not in any way agressive- more supportive and uplifting. I imagine you could wear this when feeling a little fragile and it would help you get through the day. Jos thinks it smells 'good' and he nibbled my neck and pronounced it tasted good too! I don't think it's a spectacularly 'sexy' scent, more of uplifting, confidence giving, and arresting. That's it, actually. Rather than being typically 'sexy', it's arresting and handsome, attracting peoples noses to you and interesting them. The scent lingers ages. I was still smelling faint traces on my skin the day after- but only the woodsmoky scent and none of the pine. I love this, and definately want a big bottle.

1st sniff: Bittersweet almond On the skin: Same bitter-sweet almonds, but with a sharper scent. Quite like it at this stage. Dry: Oh No! Soap! Not even NICE soap! Why couldn't it stay smelling like the second stage?

First sniff: Pine. Pine, Pine, Pine. On the skin: When it first went on it smelt like pine... and then like Vicks Vaporub. Ick- but I persevered. And, Goddess, am I glad I did. It's faded down into a delicious scent, soft pine and citrus- reminds me of a sicilian orange grove, fresh, herby and alive. This sort of scent will REALLY make you feel awake. Perfect for if you have to be somewhere ealry and you want to smell like summer on a warm island. However, it fades down quite quickly. It's about four hours, and I only get hints of it if I press my nose right into my skin, But other people can still smell it if they're fairly close. You may need to carry this around with you and top up every few hours. It is quite a strong, masculine scent, and it makes me feel happy and confident. It's masculine without being butch. I would call it more of a uni-sex scent.

Gogeous. Seet and musky in the bottle. Joskarith describes the scent on me as 'deliciously musky'- not overpowering as some musk/vanilla scents can be, just sweet, and spicy and beautifully sesual. A very soft musk that pefumes skin brilliantly and lasts for hours- I put some on at midday, it's no nine o clock 9england time) and I still catch whispers of the delicious scent. Go for it. Joskarith has been all over me today, I can't seem to stop random men giving me lascivious looks. It is worh the cost.

I just sellotape the label to the bottle. It works better that way 'cos the ties always seem to tear or slip off. I wouldn't mind a sticky label- presentation of imps ears isn't important to me. Presentation of the big bottles is- but they're gorgeous anywayz. Get rid of the ties! save yourself money and time. The overwhelming response seems to be that people don't mind.

I have no violet based perfumes, and I know the chocolate scent goes well with violet. So, would vice or velvet go better with a lush violet-scented 'bathos' bath?

I love this. In the bottle it's dark and spicy and rich- must be the musk doing that. When I first put it on it smelt spicy and kind of metallic- maybe I was influenced by the name, but I pictured a cargo of plundered spices, a deck covered in blood, and gold. Finally, it faded down into a woodsmoke and spice smell on me- the same mental image, but a little furthere away, maybe with another ship burining in the horizon. I love this. It's gorgeous. At some point I'll get a 10ml.

I think Elizabeth should introuduce this- it would save a lot of hassle. I think packages- over here in england, at least- can be signed for by any memember of the houshold/official houssitter, but I'm not sure.

Get better soon! This un of bad luck willl eventually end, don't worry 'bout it, then you will be back on your feet, happy and healthy with glossy fur, bright eyes, wet nose and pricky ears (oops, referring to everyone in cat terms again. I really should stop doing that.) we don't mind waiting a little longer- I've said before we don't mind getting the order a little after the anniversary date, just as long as it gets here!
