    Oblivion

In the imp: Sweet spices, orange, clove and a bit of sweet herbs. Slightly fruity, a bit spicy, not patchouli or wood at all! So happy about that. Not what I expected. Like a heavy perfume. Wet: Smells more masculine now, like cologne. I'm getting an astringent smell, a heavy sweet alcoholic. Dry: After all of that, the patchouli and wood smells come out. Ugh! There is still a citrus and astringent alcohol scent coming through, though. Overall: Really like the beginning. And interesting smells, morphing from something of a heavy perfume to a masculine scent. When it's dry, though, I don't like it all! Too dark and too masculine and heavy for me. Darn that patchouli!

    Enchanted Wood Florist

This stays pretty much the same from bottle to dry down. Delicate, sharp florals. I can't make out any of the notes. It reminds me off Ralph Lauren's Ralph. I love that scent and I love this! Smells bright blue and slightly green. There's definitely grass in there. Slightly watery. Some sort of fruit, that's where the sweetness is coming from. There is definitely rose, or rose amber. Rose Amber is in Helena and I'm getting a hint of Helena in this. Oh, I know what it reminds me of! 51! Without the musk. More floral than 51. This review probably isn't very helpful, but I Love it! Need another bottle.

    Rapture

In the imp: Smells like a hippy shop. Heavy florals (Jasmine, mainly) and heavy dark musks. Smells like Nag Champa (I think that's how you smell it), like one of those tables on the street where a guy sells incense and burns heavy smelling oils. I really don't like that smell. It smells dirty and is giving me a headache. Wet: Same as in imp. Giving me a headache. Dry: Have to wash this off. Overall: Smells very, very heavy and dirty to me. It's difficult to wash off, I scrubbed and scrubbed and it's still there! Definitely not for me!

    Pink Snowballs

In the bottle: Snow White. The vanilla playdough and coconut smell of snow white. Wet: Snow White and roses. That's a little better. Although it still smells like playdough to me. Sweet playdough. Dry: Roses. Pink and red powdery sweet roses! With a hint or plastic Barbie doll playdough... Overall: I read the reviews of this scent before getting it, and I knew it would smell like Snow White(which doesn't work on me at all!), but I had to try it anyway because of the rose note. I love the rose note, but the Snow White scent is still there. I'll age it and try it again.

White Chocolate, Strawberry, and White Pepper Truffle

In the bottle: Strawberries. Fresh strawberries. With a bit of cream. The White chocolate smells more like cream than chocolate. Wet: Strawberries. And a tiny bit of cream. Dry: Just a bowl of fresh strawberries. Overall: I like this one much better than the other white chocolate truffle this year. Not as artificial smelling. A simple strawberries and cream scent! I was hoping for more of the white pepper, but it's delicious smelling anyway.

    Saint Foutin de Varailles

In the bottle: Sweet red wine and cough syrup. Not too sure about this. Wet: Ooooh!! The beeswax comes out and I love it!! Powdery honey wax with red wine. As someone described, smells like Fairy Wine with beeswax. Dry: The roses come out. And it's roses and beeswax and a slight sweet boozy red wine in the background. But it remains as roses and honey. My two favorite notes. Smells a bit like Jezebel on the dry down, but not as heavy. Overall: I'm buying more bottles! This is the new Jezebel for me! I really don't like it in the bottle. When I first got my package and opened each bottle to sniff, I thought, Wow this smells horrible! Nothing against Beth! That's the first time I thought that when sniffing a BPAL. Even with patchouli scents. But as it dries, I just need more bottles! If you like Jezebel or Fairy Wine, or even Bordello, you would like this.

White Chocolate, Black Raspberry, and Apricot Cordial Truffle

This one is actually pretty simple! In the bottle: Dirt. Or, fresh potting soil. Kind of scared to try this. Don't know where this is coming from. Wet: YUM! White chocolate. Creamy, sweet, delicious white chocolate! My favorite chocolate. And nothing else. Dry: Black raspberry and artificial strawberries. No more chocolate or dirt. Strange. Smells like a creamy, non-musky berry moon. Overall: Very strange transition. A very simple scent, with very few notes. It transitions from one note to another without really seeming like a blend. Could just be my strange nose, but that's what I smell!

    Candles Moon

In the bottle: I love it! Reminds me of White Rabbit. Sour milk, linens, Something sharp or tangy. Could be the blackberry. Wet: Very light and faint. Like a glow. Like a candle! Clean breezy, wax (not beeswax, though. beeswax usually has a slight honey scent, and this doesn't.) Dry: I get snow (from Snow Moon and Snow Maiden and Snow bunny, etc...). Light flowers. A slight, slight hint of berry. No milk anymore. Only in the bottle. Lovely! Overall: I'm so glad I got a bottle of this. And the label is gorgeous! A god transition from winter scent. Glowing snow is the best description, I think.

    Jailbait

In the imp: Woah! Pink bubblegum AND candy! SWEET! Wet: Exactly as described. Bubblegum, red artificial cherry lollipops, sugar, I get a slight whiff of artificial orange as well, but it's very faint. And I get cinnamon syrup. Dry: Plastic barbie dolls, cinnamon bubblegum (all chewed up and old), and sweet fruity musk. Overall: Way too sweet for me. Artificial sweet. Definitely not for me!

    Tisiphone

In the imp: Sweet florals, a bit of neroli and a faint, faint, faint hint of woody incense patchouli. Definitely like the faintness of the patchouli. Wet: Sweet, powdery, feminine. A clear, bright, scent. A bit of plastic, a bit like cinnamon sometimes smells, yet this doesn't bother me as much. It's a faint plastic smell. I really know what oleander smelled like until I tried this, and I like it. Dry: Ugh, the patchouli came out. Overall: I would love this if it didn't have patchouli. In the imp and wet, it smells lovely, powdery and feminine, with a slight touch of patchouli. On the dry down, the patchouli eats everything up, as it usually does. Alas, not for me.

    Verdandi

In the imp: Soapy tutti-frutti. No black musk here! Fruit and strange herbs. Wet: Magnolias and green apples. Don't know where I'm getting the magnolia from. I don't get any sort of herby or black musk smell. It smells bright and clear and heady. I love it! Dry: Musky fruit. The heady, sweet magnolia smell fades, and it's just apple musk. Overall: I just sat there sniffing my wrist for about an hour because I love this scent! Well, for the first hour, when it smelled like green apple magnolias! Then, it became fruit musk, which I don't really like the smell of (anything musky, really). This is a strange scent as well, because it smells different from imp to drydown. Morphs very much. I will definitely use my imp, and keep reapplying to get that 1 hour of goodness, but don't know if I'd get a bottle.

    10ml bottles...Where did they go?

I don't know if there has been a topic like this already. If there was, I couldn't find it so I'm pretending there wasn't! I've been reading the forum a lot lately, and everyone talks about 10 mL bottles! I just got into BPAL a couple of months ago, so I thought you could only get 5 mLs and imps! Where did the big bottles go?!?! Are they only LEs or what? Because there are a few scent that I would just love to order a big bottle of. It's better to have 50 single bottles than 100 of doubles....

    Yggdrasil

In the imp: Plastic cinnamon, dark woods. Very deep dark woods. Wet: Cinnamon gum. Reminds me of Bengal, or the Dodo. Except this is a cinnamon forest and not just gum or cinnamon fruit. Dry: Woody cinnamon. Overall: This doesn't morph at all on me. I love cinnamon, but gum not perfume.

    Yemaya

In the imp: sugared melons (honeydew, cantaloup, and sugar). Watery and sweet sweet sweet! I love it! Wet: Melon candy. Someone said a lifesaver, and that is what is reminds me of. Dry: Same as in the imp. Overall: I love that this doesn't morph! Watery sugary melons. Simple, straightforward. Yummy! Although I want to drink it instead of wear it...but I'll see..

    Epitaph

The notes and description just sound beautiful to me! I really hope this works. In the imp: lathered soap. I love love love roses and love lilies. But some lilies turn to soap on me. In this case, the lilies are so soapy, they over power all of the notes before it even touches my skin! Ugh...why! Wet: Actually smells better on my skin. Still soapy, but not overly lathered. Smells of old lady perfume. Really strong, slightly watery. I'm getting a bit of rose somewhere under the soap. Dry: Light white and pink roses floating on soapy water. soapy irish spring water. Overall: I had high, high expectations for this scent. I thought I would live it, with the roses and the lilies and the mist. I should know by know that the Ars Moriendi scents (with lilies) are all soapy to me. I don't love it, but don't hate it either. It's strange, as most florals smells pretty and sweet and feminine in the bottle/imp and then turn to soap on the dry down. This scent was the opposite, starting as heavy soap and changing to a light floral with minimal soap. Very strange and interesting scent!

    Voodoo

In the imp: Patchouli, vetiver, some citrus (lemon or lime or both) and almonds. Dirty heavy dark forboding marzipan! With lemons! Wet: Of course the patchouli and vetiver take over. But it's not giving me a headache as the usual patchouli scent does. It's lighter and more...refreshing I guess is the best word. Dry: Getting more of the vanilla. Very faintly though. This is primarily patchouli and vetiver. Overall: Don't hate it like I thought I would! Much lighter than expected. I think that the combination of vanilla marzipan lemons really mellows down the vetiver and makes it more pleasant than heavy and dirty.

    Aelopile

In the imp: Lemon verbena cologne Wet: Lemon on the surface with grass pulp and wet wood. Dry: Smells like chopped up greens (spinach, lettuce, grass) Wet and dark, dark green. chloroform green. Overall: This smells similar to other scents i have tried. Although, the fade from wet to dry is very strange and different. I'll give it another try.

    Athens

In the imp: Sweet, homemade, gingerbread rum cake. huh... Wet: It's the myrrh. Myrrh smells like spicy cake to me. Don't really like the smell of cake on me. I'm not a fan of alcoholic scents either. They just strangely morph on my skin. Dry: Floral honey! The myrrh fades! The alcohol fades! NO, not true, smells a bit like white wine, making the scent not as sweet. I want to smell like this! Overall: YUM! baby powder honey delicious! I will use the imp! I don't like it wet, but it doesn't take too long to turn into honey. Reminds me a bit of brisingamen, without the resiny, woody smell.

    Swank

In the imp: Fruity with cold sweet mint. And alcohol. I get mango, mainly because I'm not too sure how pomegranate is supposed to smell like. Wet: Fruit and mint and alcohol. Similar to the imp. Orange fruit. There's definitely citrus in there. Dry: Smells a bit like plastic mangoes and alcohol. Still delicious smelling. And has great throw and lasts a long time! Overall: It turns a bit too plastic on my skin, but despite that i would still use up my imp! And icy, fruity alcoholic drink!
  20. Caerphilly

    The Dodo

In the imp: Plastic Cinnamon. Wet: It's not burning like cinnamon usually does. Sweet cinnamon gum. Dry: Still cinnamon plastic. Smells a bit like Bengal, but not as musky and a bit fruity sweeter. Overall: I love Cinnamon gum, but to chew it, not to wear it. Alas, this does not work for me.

    Black Lily

In the imp: Freshly mowed grass, water, and lily pollen Wet: Green grassy lilies! Dry: Perfume with grass. Floral perfume, although I can't really put my finger on what floral. I know it's lily, but I don't really get lily from this. Not soapy at all, though! But green and white and pleasant and womanly. Very strong throw and lasts all day. Overall: Most lilies go soapy on my. Not this one. Although it's not all lily and I do love the smell of lily, but not on me. Maybe I'll use the imp, but I prefer the sweet and pretty Tiger Liliy.

    Cheshire Cat

In the imp: Sweet, yummy grapefruit! And tart yummy currants! Very delicate and pleasant. Not artificial. Wet: Lavender. A masculine, musky, heavy cologne lavender. Dry: Turns soapy on me. I don't know what it could be. I think it's a floral that just doesn't work on my skin. And it fades really quickly. The soap smell is very light. And I get a whiff of old cocoa butter... Strange. Overall: I love it in the imp, but doesn't work on my skin at all! Will have to swap the decant!

    Fairy Wine

My first Neil Gaiman scent thanks to my loving boyfriend! In the Bottle: Sweet red honey and berries. I want to drink it! Wet: Stays true. Doesn't really morph. The honey stays close to my skin and doesn't turn musky. The berries don't go sugary sweet. Dry: Doesn't last long. My skin eats up fruity scents, but I love them so! Really an ethereal wine. Overall: I wish this lasted longer! Beautiful, sweet red scent. I thought this would be too sweet and would morph to a musky honey smell with overly, sickly sweet berries. But it stays true wine and tart/sweet currants. Love it!

    Miskatonic University

In the imp: My boyfriend says it smells like a cinnabon. Smells like coffee, cream, caramel, & whiskey. Perfect Irish Cream. Yum! Wet: Fades pretty quickly. Can smell the dusy books and wood. Reminds me of Velvet or Leaf Strewn Couch but with Irish cream poured all over it a few years ago. Not to sound gross... It's just faint in the background. Dry: All dust and mold and wood and varnish. Smells a bit like plastic. Not really yummy anymore. Sigh.... Overall: Love it in the imp. The second it touches my skin the yummy Irish Cream starts fading and it doesn't work at all on me! Unfortunately, my skin cannot do foody scent. Alas.

    Hemlock

In the imp: First thing, the oil is green! Bright and crisp green, almost artificial! I've never seen an oil this color. A natural oil, anyway. It smells poisoned lime rind and sour herbs. It smells crisp, but sinister. Wet: Crisp and green. I get a bit of soil underneath. Otherwise, it's a pretty clean scent. Clean and poisoned. Evil smelling. I can't put my finger on it, but that's the atmosphere it evokes. Dry: Sweet and sour limes and kumquats! Not candy sweet, but light and pretty sweet. Overall: Wasn't too sure in the imp, but works on my skin. A citrus smell that's not lemony, or lemon verbena, or very very sweet orange. It goes in another direction. Interesting scent. Will definitely use my imp.
