I was frimped this by a generous forumite and I've been hearing so much about it, I couldn't wait to try it out. In the imp this smells like lemon. On me, it stays pretty much the same. It smells like the Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger tea. I'm definitely going to be keeping the imp and would consider a bottle when I run out. I see this as a nice summer scent.

So I tried this last night. I haven't been sleeping well the past week, so I was seriously hoping this would help. First off, it smells amazing. I normally don't like lavender but I love this. It's a nice soft lavender backed by vanilla. My dream vanilla actually. I wish I could wear this as a perfume. Unfortunately, I can't, because it works. I got the best sleep I've had in a week. LOVE this!

I wasn't too sure about this one. Fir scares me since I don't like smelling like trees. However, all the other notes were promising. In the bottle: Amber and a little bit of clove. If I sniff deeply, I get a whiff of rose. Wet: Spicy amber backed by something, possibly the tonka. Dry: Sexy spicy amber but not strong amber. The amber seems to be mellowed by the other notes. Just a hint of rose. Dry, later: Dries to a nice light fragrance and I can smell the tobacco a little. I thought I would prefer White Rose, but actually, this one is my favorite.

Hmm...so I wasn't sure about this because I do not like florals. Plus rose gives me headaches. But after reading reviews, I had to try this, figuring that if I didn't like it, someone else would snatch it up. In the bottle: Soft vanilla, no rose. Promising. Wet on skin: There's the rose. But it's a light rose backed by something creamy. Dry: Soft, creamy rose. This is a very innocent scent. Kind of like a white silk dress. Dry, few hours later. Very faint vanilla. Verdict: I love this. No way am I swapping this. This made me feel elegant and refined. I don't think this would be an everyday scent for me, more of a special occasion scent, like a birthday party. Layered this turns into something magical. Makes me feel elegant and sexy and oooh soo good. *EDIT* So I tried this again, and sadly, it turns to powder on my pulse points. And not good powder. Powder that makes me sneeze.

In the bottle: Citrus. I definitely get a whiff of the strawberry and grapefruit with a hint of yummy cakey goodness. Wet: Strawberry shortcake. YUM! Dry: Vanilla cake. No more strawberry or grapefruit. Just vanilla cake but it is sooo good. I definitely need another bottle of this.

I apparently have some funny skin chemistry but I find Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener to be identical to Black Lace. Notes are completely different and they smell the same.

In the bottle: Ginger and rum. A little bit of musk. On me: Wow. Once it hits the skin it turns into this sexy gingerbread scent. I love this. It's foody without being overly foody.

It starts out pure butter cookie on me. I don't get the rum at all. But after a while, it turns into this nice spicy cookie scent. Lovely and it lasted all day on me. I could still smell it when I went to bed.

I have a question about scent equivalents to Black Lace. The Antikythera Mechanism seems close but it doesn't have the vanilla note on me that Black Lace does. Do you guys think layering a sn vanilla note would make it even more similar? I can see spending a ton of money on a bottle of Black Lace if I can make a close match.

I'm wearing Sticky Pillowcase this morning. I have no idea what I'm going to wear tonight though, possibly Samhain or Fearful Pleasure.

This one REALLLY disappointed me. I love all the notes, including the lavender. And Snake Oil + Dorian sounds absolutely amazing. In bottle: LAVENDER!!! If I sniff deeply, I cant get a HINT of the Dorian. It actually made me sick to my stomach. On skin wet: Dorian is coming out a bit more, but it's still heavily lavender on me. Dry down: That's better. Dorian with something else I can't place. The lavender has settled down. But I think I'm only going to need one bottle of this stuff.

My first review, so bear with me In the bottle: Apple. I was kind of upset by the scent in the bottle because all I could smell was apples, not the scent everyone was describing. On my skin: There's the lovely cider scent. Smells like spiced cider with some orange and I can detect a little bit of smoke. This is the perfect me scent. I love spiced cider scents.

It smells great in the bottle. Like nice juicy sour apples. But it really changes when it gets on my skin, unfortunately. It smells like flowers. No apple at all. Which is really disappointing because I don't like floral scents at all. But it's nice and light, so I'll be able to wear it, but it's not going to be one of my favorites.
