Bumping again as a general reminder!

In addition to batch differences and aging effects, another thing to keep in mind is that decants (and bottles which have been decanted from) can be compromised in a number of ways, so they may not always be the same as a Lab-fresh bottle. If the decanter does not roll the bottle between her hands (or otherwise stir or mix it up) before decanting from it, the component oils which can seperate a bit in transit may be sitting one on top of the other. When decants are created this way, they can end up having more or less of certain components depending on what level the decanter piped off. There are also contamination effects, as not all decanters do things like using new pipettes for each scent (and, mistakes happen).

BPAL does not contain alcohol. I mark all of my shipments as "essential oils" or "aromatherapy supplies" if I'm sending other stuff too, and it always goes through ok.

Really? That must be specific to bank transactions, then, because it splits automatically for credit card transactions. Weird.

It should be fine. Log into your Paypal account, it should show where the money came from for your order.

You should also know that the CnS system doesn't provide tracking information internationally, so even if it does get scanned in as being picked up, it won't actually be updated with any progress reports or delivery confirmation.

Did you give your int'l address in the comments when you made the order? You should see if Paypal will let you add the address to your "shipped to" options even if it can't be your primary, to avoid future mixups. You can usually select "no shipping address" when you send payments, rather than letting it automatically attach an address that is incorrect, as well. You should definitely contact answers (at) blackphoenixalchemylab (dot) com with your order info right away, it may not have been picked up by the post office yet. If it has, do you know the people at your old address still? Any chance they'd be able to forward your package for you?

They *probably* won't be shipped together, but they will likely ship soon, if orders around the 9th are being filled now. Keep an eye on your inbox!

It's more likely that CCNow is behind on their processing than anything, actually.

BPAL stopped selling carrier oils a looong time ago, around the same time they stopped selling bath stuff on the main site.

I would wait a little while...sometimes the USPS CnS software is a little wonky, so your order may have shipped already and you just didn't get the notice. Definitely don't go by the US shipped through rate, as domestic mail is SO much quicker, but really, you only ordered three weeks ago...I wouldn't be surprised if it is either about to ship or already out the door. However, if you really are worried, the Lab won't snap at you for inquiring or anything.

Paypal is really the best way to order, you just need to do it directly from paypal.com rather than through CCNow. It's when you pay with your paypal funds through the CCNow shopping cart that the Lab incurs huge amounts of fees.

Paypal really is easier and less headache inducing overall. From the front page of the Lab's website: So, you should not be using CCNow and hitting submit to go to PayPal, you should be opening a new browser and going to www.paypal.com and using the "send money" tab to send your order.

Haha yeah. AND it was my Formula 54 order, so I was like, triply worried because once that scent sold out, there wasn't any chance of buying a replacement if customs ate it! SO nerve wracking. But it did arrive, in perfect condition! I was soooo happy.

Sit with me, AuroraLlew, and let me tell you about the time customs sat on my order for three months... That was an unusual delay, so don't worry about it being THAT bad, but it can take a few weeks sometimes depending on how fast they feel like workin'. Another influence is the fact that packages only cross the border in BC and ON, so if you're in a middle or an eastern province, you're at the mercy of Canada Post's cross-provincial services too. Isn't it fun?

I'd just put the properly-formatted address in your comments field, with a basic version thereof in the existing fields (i.e. sans uni name and your res hall name in with your name, and the room number in your street field) just in case. You might write to Paypal customer service as well; this sort of thing has to have come up before!

If you're sending to your friend's house, I'd include the address in the Notes field, so you don't have to add her address to your Paypal account. Also, I'd use your first method of listing the order, it's just a bit neater.

Nope, there is a flat rate per transaction fee for business' paypal accounts, so there's no extra fee from the credit card carrier.

Not daft at all! These things can be confusing. It's 100% ok to pay BY credit card THROUGH paypal. By that I do mean going to www.paypal.com, logging in, and sending your order via their "Send Money" feature. The "not okay" thing, which the Lab references on their font page, is using the CCNow cart to place your order and selecting Paypal as the payment method there. That is what gets the Lab charged double fees, which they can't prevent because CCNow doesn't allow them to take Paypal off of the options for payment through the cart.

Personally, I'd wait another couple o' days, since it is just "packed; still have to go through QA and then off to shipping"...give 'em time to ship it, eh?
