Upon application: very, very strong floral smell wafting through thick honey. I've never smelled dianthus before, but I now I realize this is the top note on me. It smells like strong carnation. On the dry down: The flower becomes less overwhelming and the softness of the white honey and lavendar comes out more. I can detect a tiny hint of the blackberry, but this is mostly a honey blend on me. I love the white honey note the lab uses, it's so very lovely. This is a unique blend; it's floral while being deep, pungent, and sweet at the same time. Very contradictory for me, but it works. This is beautiful; extremely feiminine and very sexy. I like this very much.

Upon application: Ooo, sweet, sweet mandarin. Very orange, fruity, citrusey. On the dry down this softens up a bit; I thought it might remain straight up mandarin on me. But no, now I can smell the soft peach blossom undertones floating underneath. This is a very, very fruity blend, but also crisp and refreshing. It's very feminine. This doesn't have a lot of throw, and is a skin clinger. But this is just lovely, I love the fruity blends, and the mandarin note in this is gorgeous. Beautiful, I'm glad I got a bottle.

A very, very dark, earthen, foreboding scent. The moss notes are overpowering, and if I didn't know better I would think there was vertiver in this. It has that same deeply earthy feel to it. I can definitely smell the salty ocean spray in the undertones. I detect something that smells like a dry tea note, but I don't get any frankincense at all. This is very masculine, and I'm sure the hubbie will claim this for his own. It doesn't have a ton of throw, but is strong when you sniff it close up.

This is a wintery, outdoorsy, clean scent. The frozen, slushy, slightly minty note is on top, and the floral and earthen bark notes are floating underneath. It is clean and herbally, but not too sharp. The florals add a drop of sweetness, but this still strikes me as a masculine blend. This is a strong one, and seems to last a long time on my skin. Not quite my thing, but the boy will probably like it.

Oh why did I only order 1 bottle of this?? This is fabulous! At first sniff: this smelled like chocolate covered cherry almonds, with a hint of baked spiciness in the background. Upon application it smelled more like caramel covered cherries, with a lovely cocoa in the undertones. There is definitely a smooth, creamy river of decadent vanilla running through this. This reminds me of Black Phoenix combined with MB: Closet. God, what a scrumptious combination!! I love the combination of musk, cherries and cocoa. You just can't beat that!! This is glorious, I love it love it love it!!!

Hmmm, complex, interesting. The first thing I notice is a dry, dusty leaves note. That quickly moves to the side, and I detect dragon's blood with an earthen undertone. It's like burning Dragon's Blood incense in a dank, musty old torture chamber. There is the barest hint of spicy something floating through the undertones. This is not quite my thing, although I ususally love dragon's blood blends. But, I think the boy will **love** this and I'm sure he'll hijack my decant.

A spicy, smoky, brown scent for me. My skin is really making this smell like tobacco. Yup, like really dry, pure tobacco leaf with a hint of cinnamon and musk underneath. Honestly, I think this is disagreeing with my skin chemistry. I reminds me of my late Grandmother's house, which smelled of cigarrettes and sweet things. Not necesarily a bad smell for me , but just not something I want my body to smell like. On the dry down the cinnamon seems to come out a bit more, and that dry tobacco note is not as offensive. Overall though, just not vibing real well with my skin.

Oh this stuff just rocks!! I wasn't sure what to expect scent wise. This smells very strongly of Snake Oil, but when you lather it up, there's (of course) a silky soapy undertone, which smells fantastic combined the oil. It has a very nice lather; rich, smooth, silky, decadent. It leaves my shower smelling of Snake Oil, as well as my skin. I used some before bed last night, and I felt so pampered laying in bed with my whole body smelling of one of the best BPAL scents of all time. I have always wanted to be able to bathe in my favorite BPALs, now I can! I can't think of anything better than the lingering smell of Snake Oil on my skin. I love the beautiful labels that the soaps come in; they are lovely and have some eloquent things written on the inside. I haven't found any soap I like as much as this beside Burlesque from Arcana. My skin feels soft, clean and conditioned and smells sooo sexy. I think I could invest in a small closet's worth of this soap. I also ordered Bliss, MU, and Dorian, and I just can't wait to try them all. This is awesome! BPAL soap, I am in heaven!!

First impression: Woodsy, masculine, a bit spicy, dark but with a certain leafy sharpness to it. I'm generally not a big fan of the woodsy, manly ones, but this is actually quite nice. The woodsy notes are familar and soothing; and the herbal note is commanding while not overpowering. It's almost a "clean" smell for me. There is a hint of something spicy/gourmand underneath; like a deep cinnamon or a black pepper note. The longer I wear this, the more the spicy note emerges. This is a strong blend with good throw and lasting power. This would be really nice on my man.

Ahh, a gloriously dark vanilla blend!! First impression is definitely a baked goodness scent, but there is a gorgeous under current of sinfulness. The undertones seem to be a dark musk with a thin line of a spicy, cinnamon note as well. This reminds me of a combination of Snake Charmer and the original Sugar cookie. But, this is definitely sexier than either of those blends, and the darkness of the undertone really gives it an X factor. On the dry down I can detect a hint of dark cocoa. This is beautiful, and I could swim in gallons of this. I wish I could get my hands on a bottle! I know there were a lot of comparisons to Smut, but this smells NOTHING like Smut on me; Smut smelled like burnt rubber on me and I hated it. But I LOVE this!! Storyville has medium throw and I imagine will be pretty long lasting on my skin. This is perfect!!

A shockingly white ozone scent with undertones of white flowers. I'm not big on ozone scents, but the idea of Kataniya is beautifully personified in this blend. I'm having trouble identifying the florals in this, but they remind me of orchids and lilies. This is a very soft blend, with not much throw. You have to be close to the skin to smell it. This is just nice on me, but not really my type of scent. These ones usually don't last very long on my skin.

This smells like sweet opium and incense smoke. This is much sweeter than I expected. I can't smell the tobacco note at all, which is fine with me because that usually doesn't agree with me. It's a very resiney/ smokey blend. The opium note is very dominating. It has medium throw. I like this quite a bit more than I thought I would; it's a lovely take on an opium blend. Not something I'd wear everyday, but nice just the same.

Wow, this is an exquisitely bright blend! It's very strong upon application. First impression: Honey suckle and carnation ahoy! The florals throw themselves at me, and they are gorgeous, yellow and pure. There is a sweet, mandarin undertone, and a hint of patchouli in the background. Strong, bold and just lovely. On the dry down: Oh, here's where it gets good! The patchouli has moved to the front, with the beautiful peachy/mandarin note close behind. This has become more of a fruity blend now, instead of a floral. God, just gorgoeus. Very youthful, fun and inspiring. I love this!! I'm thrilled with this and The Agony of Heartache, the trading post imps picked the perfect scents for me!

Oooooo la la, this is some lovely Heartache! When I first applied this, I smelled a weird bitter, almost sour note in the background. I was scared, I thought this wouldn't work on me. Then, five minutes later this beautiful, deep fruity glory appeared. It's a rich, dark fruit; with a thick, sexy undertone and a kiss of citrus in the background. The sage was apparent when I first applied it, I think that's what threw it off for me. But now, the sage is gone completely and it has become blackberry and red patchouli with a lemon under current. On the dry down: god, this gets better the longer I wear it! The blackberry is sweeter and the patchouli is a bit more resinous/earthy. This is absolutely gorgeous. I could swim in gallons of this!!

I'm honestly just not a fan of violet, but as far as violet blends go, even I have to admit that this is very pretty. Th violet note is not overwhelmingly dark or strong, but delicate and feminine. The sugared note smells a little different in this one than in Hope, it's not quite as overly sweet and cavity inducing. This doesn't have quite as much throw as Hope, and is more of a skin - clinging scent. Not one of my favorites, but lovely just the same.
-
This is the most gorgeous rose scent! This is the perfect pink rose covered in sweet, pure sugar. It is almost cavity - inducing it's so sweet. This reminds me very much of pink sugar rose scent that many of the e tailer bath and body stores have; I got some shower gel from Scentual Pleasures once that smelled just like this. This is the pinnacle of femininity and pureness. Just gorgeous. I'm not so big on Faith, so I kind of wish I could buy just a bottle of Hope.

I bought a gorgeous, full bottle of this on ebay. Just as I was dabbing it on my wrist to review it, my finger stuck to the bottle and I f%#@@@ spilled it!!! RARRRR I managed to salvage about 3/4 of my bottle, but geez, it had to be a rare blend I spilled right? Anyway... this is a lovely, light, cologney man's blend. It's a very "white" smell; light flowers and a shimmering musk underneath. It's very clean, crisp, and sexy. My whole living room smells like this now, thank god I like it! This has medium throw, but sticks around for quite a while. I would like my man to wear this; it's drop dead sensual.

This scent has probably been the biggest pleasant surprise for me in BPAL history. I thought I would not just dislike this, but hate it. I normally hate tobacco and especially leather blends. Wow, I was wrong!! This is GORGEOUS!! It's a foody, sweet, creamy cherry smell! Yum! Yup, the top notes are sweet cherry and a delicious, buttery creaminess. The leather note is very sweet as well, and quite subtle. The smoky note is very compimentary, and just sits underneath as a comforting afterthought. This really does remind me of sitting in a red leather chair in front of a fireplace at Christmas time. I am so glad I've got a full bottle, I only wish it wasn't so hard to get more!

First impression: light sandalwood, orchid and jasmine gently brushed over by a smattering of herbs. The sandalwood and the jasmine are on top, but the orchid is certainly noticable as well. I really like both the jasmine and the orchid notes in this; lovely enough to be feminine, but oddly sinister as well. This has light throw/staying power. I really like this more than I thought I would. I am always amazed at the way in which Beth can make a blend, "creep and crawl," and this one certainly does. It's very feminine, but dusty and complex at the same time. I don't think I need a bottle, because these notes never last on me, but I do like this one just the same.

First impression: Smoky, incensey, but with a woodsy/slightly spicy undertone. This is certainly a frankincense dominant blend. The frankincense is nicely complimented by an herbally undertone; sort of a green, plant like, yet woodsy combination of notes. On the dry down: Not much of a morpher, the frankincense settles in a little bit, and there's still that hint of the herbal underneath. I wish I could do this description more justice, but this is a pretty straight forward blend. Overall: Really nice for those of you who like resinous/incensey blends. This is not quite my thing, but I can recognize the subtle beauty of this blend.

Ocean, ocean and more salty ocean!! This is as aquatic as aquatic blends get!! There is that lovely, salty sea note that the lab uses in its aquatic blends, but it is extra salty in this one. There is a light, cologney note wafting up from the deep underneath. This actually strikes me as something that would be really nice on a guy; I think I just like my men smelling watery and aquatic . Aquatic blends don't agree very well with me skin chemistry, but I actually like this one more than I thought I would. Not quite my thing, but utterly lovely on the right person, I am sure.

Oh , how darkly delicious!! This is indeed a very dark blend, but has a lighter side as well. The top notes on me are honey, black amber and jasmine. There is a fruity under current as well; which is probably the blackberry poking his head out. This is beautiful!! I can also detect a hint of the ginger, which gives it a little kick, and a citrusey undertone from the orange note. I don't know if the "white" honey note is different from the lab's usual honey note, but the white honey in this is divine!!! Sooo smooth and sexy. On the dry down: Primarily honey and blackberry. Ooh la la, how can you go wrong with all these wonderful notes?? This has medium throw and medium sticking power. I LOVE this one, this may be my favorite CD scent from Act III. I will definitely be purchasing a 5 ml.

Hmmm, the doll girl is not loving my body chemistry. This smells like a very soapy carnation on me. It's a bright, wake - up type blend. It smells very odd to me, almost like celery and generic bathroom hand soap. I'm thinking that my skin hates carnation I never knew that!! Oh poo, no go with my skin. I'm sure she's lovely on others

This is an extremely complex and unique blend! I've never sniffed anything quite like this. The first thing I notice is the cocoa note; it's strong, deep and dark. After that, my nose starts to go crazy trying to sort out all the other contrasting notes. Every time I sniff it it smells a bit different! I can definitely detect the lavendar, which gives it a very bright sharpness. There is a sort of general herbally/earthy undertone, which I thinking is the combination of the vetiver and the sage. I can't really detect the vanilla at all. On the dry down: Much less cocoa now, more of an herbal/vetiver blend. Dark, thick, rich and earthy. A hint of sweetness as an under current. The lavendar is still poking his head up. Overall, a very interesting blend, just not quite my thing. I would very much like to try this on my man.

Whoa, go go cinnamon bark!! Very hot spicy, and incredibly cinnamon on my skin. Very strong throw when only a little is applied. This reminds me a bit of Chimera, with a little bit more of a bite. I can smell the loveliness of the myrrhs and smoke underneath; they are dark, looming and ominous. They just can't quite contend with the extremity of the cinnamon note. On the dry down, the cinnamon does relax a little bit and lets the darker notes shine. Still, overall, it's certainly a cinnamon-licious blend. It is a sweet, sexy cinnamon, I'm just not a huge cinnamon lover. This is a lovely and fun blend, it's just not jiving very well with my body chemistry.
