I finally got my hands on a bottle of this, thank the lord! At first sniff: Oooo, smells just like a coconut creme chocolate. Yup, this is the exact smell of breaking open a fresh, creamy Valentine's chocolate. Yummy! On the dry down: The fig meat really starts to show itself. It turns from a coconut chocolate into a chocolate covered fig. The lab has such a lovely fig note; just like the one in Eden. After the fig stage, this scent settles into a fruitier, sharper chocolate. The orange and mint begin to emerge. It becomes a very unique citrusey/mint milk chocolate. The top notes change a bit as Treat #2 goes through its changes, but the lovely milk chocolate note is constant. This is a lovely, unique take on a sweet chocolate scent. Bravo!!

Oooo, I'm nervous to be the first to review this! I'll do my best! First impression: A sharp, earthen scent. There is a "bite" to this that smells woodsy or piney. There is a resinous / smoky nature to the background notes. A hazy, opium tone That conjours images of druids and ancient temples. On the dry down: This softens up a bit. The bite resides, and it settles into an earthy smelling scent with a bit of a sexy, incensey background. There may be some soft florals floating lazily around. I'm also reminded of dried, pleasant smelling dirt and musty corners. This one is a bit of a shape shifter, and it's very complex and I'm having a hard time picking out the notes. Everytime I sniff it, it smells a bit differently. Overall an earthy/resinous scent with medium throw. Defintely a "brown" scent for me.

Wheeeee! This is quite a bit stronger than Lick It! It seems like a much sharper mint note, my nose gets all mentholated when I sniff it. This smells very much like a true candy cane scent, or a round peppermint candy. This is very strong and has quite a bit of throw. Very Christmasey, yummy, wintery and sweet. Not too different from last year's, but I think I prefer the first edition.

This Harvest Moon is a little lighter and more delicate than 05 and 06. It reminds me much more of the outdoors. When first applied, I notice an outdoorsy, plant like note that reminds me of dried hay, but its not at all unpleasant. I can smell the bounty of harvesty scents in there; light apple, leaves, and the wine note as well. On the dry down, the smoky note of the bonfire comes out much more, and it turns into a smoky, red wine scent. This is very pretty, and I am so glad I finally got to try Harvest Moon '04.

This is a deeply aquatic blend. I'm not a huge fan of violet, which is one of the top notes in this, so I knew before I sniffed it that it wasn't for me. I can smell the sea kelp note, whatever that is, and it really does remind me of something you'd find washed up on the shore. There is something else in there that reminds me a little of a men's cologne note. This definitely delivers what it promises, but it is just not for me. I will find my bottle a better home.

This reminds me of the same thing every time I wear it; Bath and Body Works Juniper Breeze scent. I know there is no juniper in Annabel, but I swear to god it smells just like Juniper Breeze on my skin! It is a light and lovely scent; sweet, innocent, and a bit on the fruity side. The cucumber and sweet pea are definitely the top notes, which gives it a super feminine feel. It doesn't have a ton of throw or lasting power, but it is surely lovely enough to re apply. I like this one very much and I'm glad I have a bottle.

Dark, foreboding, and mysterious. The myrrh is the strongest note, with the deepness of the black musk close behind. It is sort of a dry, musty, evil smelling scent, but lovely in its own sense. The frankincense and woodsy notes make up the undertones, and create a nice complexity which makes Lycaon an unusal blend. It conjours images of cloaked figures and sinister castles. I would classify this as a resinous/earthy blend with medium throw. It's more on the masculine side but would be nice on either.

I was not sure if I would like this one, but it is really quite nice! The pine note is on top, of course, and it is the traditional pine note that the lab uses in blends like Skadi and Golden Priapus. It's definitely a wintery smelling blend; I can close my eyes and breath in the cold air. The juniper berry is there, and it sweetens up Wolf Moon a bit, but not to the point where it is berrilicious at all. It has more of a spicy undertone, and I can also detect a certain "dusty, earthiness." It reminds me a bit of a toned down Skadi, without so much spiciness. Just lovely, somewhat masculine, and medium to strong throw. I think the hubbie will **love** this.

Crisp, bright, fruity and effervescent. The Cheshire Cat is a lovely grapefruit scent; very sharp, commanding, and lovely. The grapefruit note dominates, but the beautiful fruitiness of red currant is close behind. The undertones are blended quite well, and they combine to form a sharp, straight froward undertone of clean chamomile and lavendar. This is a fun, young, energizing blend. Pretty and sunny!

Oh this is lovely! A refreshingly piney scent, but not evergreen pine in the traditional sense. This is a fruity pine scent, beautifully mirrored by the brightness of the cranberry. I can detect the crispness of the tomato and blackberry leaf, which are very unique. The cedar note is hiding underneath, but it gives the blend a very clean feel. This is so pretty, I've never smelled anything quite like it. This would be lovely on either of the sexes and has medium throw. Just beautiful, I honestly might need a 5 ml!

Wow, I bought this for my husband for Christmas, but gee, it smells awesome on me! It's so much sweeter and lighter than I expected it to be. There's a smoky, floral, sweetened feel to the whole blend. The tonka and the flower notes are on top. The opium and smoky notes are the undertones, and they are so beautifully blended it's really hard for me to pick them out individually. My skin is really pulling out the soft florals, and it actully smells quite feminine on me . This is a lovely, unique blend, and I really love it. A pleasant little surprise, and I hope the boy wears it often.

This is a feral, masculine, dark gothic type scent that clings very close to the skin. I bought this as a gift for the hubbie, and he likes it; he just wishes it had more throw and sticking power. It's a very sexy scent. The cinnamon and leather are the top notes on me, with the black patchouli, clove and ginger as firey undertones. The leather is so distinctly a "black leather" note; I don't know why . It's a very pulsating, bloody, suck my neck type scent; just perfect for the Count Dracula. I love this one on my man, but not quite my thing. Original and sexy, nice work guys!

This is very unique; unlike any other BPAL I've ever sniffed. The olive leaf is the dominant note on my skin, and it's a very familiar and comforting scent. I can detect a hint of the wine grapes, and they add a little bit of zest. The offeratory cakes are the strongest undertone, and they sweeten up the blend and give it a foody feel. The sweet cakes are not sugary or overpowering at all, more of an after thought. This reminds me of cooking sweet breads in a seasoned italian kitchen. This is a lovely blend, the only thing I don't like about it is it sits a bit greasy on the skin. That aside, I will enjoy using this one.

This has two of my mortal enemies in it; vetiver and violet. Unfortunately, this one goes all vetiver on me. I can smell a tiny bit of the white musk in the background, but violet is the dominant undertone. It's a very masculine smell, and it has a ton of throw and I have a feeling it will last on my wrist all night. Nice for the boys, but not quite my thing.

This is really pretty. Beth has really captured the "crisp wind" note; I noticed at first sniff that it was almost effervescent. It's a light scent, somewhere in between being berrilicious and floral. The rose note is bright and predominant. I can detect something that smells a bit like currant as well. This is a lovely blend, it doesn't have a lot of throw or sticking power, but it is nice enough to re-apply.

Not as "bitter" as I expected, but very nice! The blackberry note seems to dominate, but it's oddly not an overall fruity scent. It's more of a fresh, earthen, hippy blackberry scent. I can detect the hibiscus and rose as the primary undertones. What a fantastic combination of scents! I can't really detect the sage or the vetiver at all, thank goodness for me. It doesn't have a ton of throw, but definitely has a "bite" to its bark. I like this very much, my only complaint is that is a greasier type oil, and stays pretty slick on my skin. Lovely just the same!

This smells beautiful! It's a light, grape and plum fruit scent with a subtle violet undertone. Undeniably a purple scent! This reminds me of something strange; the smell of the blue Strawberry Shortcake character from back in the day when the little figurines came scented. I don't remember what her name was, but this was totally her signature scent! I have been so happy with all of the Phoenix scents the lab has put out, but I like this one even more than Pink or Red Phoenix. Just lovely! Plum lovers, here ya go!

Normally, I hate vetiver blends, but the vetiver note in this is not overwhelming. This is what a sexy man smells like! There's a light hint of vetiver, overshadowed by the gardenia and the jasmine. The leather and the cinnamon are undertones, and I actually didn't notice them until I was looking for them. My husband loves this one and it smells awesome on him. Not my thing, but my man is happy! A unique, lovely scent for guys.

Light, sweet , and feminine. This is an innocent fruity scent, with a hint of something else underneath. There is a light plum note on top, and undertones of floating, non - descript florals. This is a bit reminescent of Corazon for me, although it also reminds me a bit of a very toned down Blood Countess. There may be a hint of almond in there as well. This is a gorgeous scent, but it is very light on the skin and it does not last on me. It's a scent for people who like "skin clinger" scents. (Scents you need to be X rated close to smell.) Lovely, but I like a lot of throw in my bpal.

This is one of those scents that I don't quite "get" because I would never willingly smell like this. That being said, the husband loves it! He says he loves smelling like dirt This is indeed one of those rotting earth scents; and I really can picture a dirty little earth gnome smelling like this. I'm sure there must be some vetiver in there, and a note that smells like rotting leaves. It is very strong indeed; so strong that I have trouble washing it off my wrist! If you are like my hubbie and you like smelling like icky things, this is the one for you!

Delicious! I didn't understand how roses could be used in a masculine scent, but Othello really pulls it off. It's a clean, heady, sexy man scent. The roses show themselves first, but the are evened out by the soft musk notes. The secret spices are what really make this one great; they are there just enough to leave you wanting more. I have no idea what kind of spices they are, but they remind a bit of the spiciness in Bathsheba. This is a beautiful, gorgeous scent. I bought my hubbie a 5 ml long ago

A bright, spicy, strong scent. There is a hint of cinnamon in there, and something else really spicy and bold; pepper perhaps? This reminds me a little bit of Three Witches, but I like this one more. It sort of reminds me of the bright red potpourri sticks that you always find in high quality potpourri blends. It's crisp, clean and straight forward. Not my kind of scent, but unique and lovely just the same.

This is a very, very heavy vetiver scent. I can smell the rain note as well; it's a deeper aquatic than I normally expect. Conjours images of dark, tormenting seas and rotting, abandoned ships. This is pretty strong and has quite a bit of throw as well. Smells like rotten, deep earth on my skin. Vetiver is one of my mortal enemies, so this blend is just not for me.

Out of the bottle, this actually smells like peanut butter. When first applied, it's heavy on the chocolate note and orange note. The chocolate in this version of 13 is more milk chocolately as opposed to last year's, which was white choco. On the dry down, the choco fades into the background, and the perfumey, floral notes start to show themselves. After awhile, this smells sort of like a heady, expensive women's perfume, with just a hint of coco underneath. It's a pretty strong blend when first applied, but after two hours I can barely detect it. I like this better than the first 13 and I think I'll wear this one a lot more because of its uniqueness.

In the bottle this is sharp and fruity, the blood orange really dominates. On the skin it gets even sharper still; the rose note and the frankincense combine to form the top note. The orange note is still very strong, and it forms sort of a woodsy/citrusey undertone; but it's all very nicely blended. This is very different, and it seems to have a lot of throw. It's a unique one, I think I'll hold onto my bottle and see where it leads me.
