    Gluttony

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! This is one of my favorite BPAL blends, and I already have a half empty 5 ml. This is a foody lovers dream scent. Super sweet desserts gone beserk! A rich, fatty, buttery creamy cakey praline fantasy. It's so sweet I have trouble sniffing it right out of the bottle! It's like rich, butter rum cake drenched with vanilla praline caramel sauce and served over ice cream. Yum, this is one of the best foody scent ever made

    Cathedral

True to its description, this is a straight up incensey blend. The resins used in this are very sweet, though, as opposed to overly smokey. This blend reminds me of an old head shop, drenched with the smoke of a thousand different sticks of incense. As far as resin blends go, this is not a bad one, even though these type blends are not my style. For resin lovers, this is surely the perfect scent.

    Seraphim

This truly is an angelic smelling scent. The dominant notes are the lily, the damascus rose, and a faint breath of frankincense to keep it interesting. It's very light, airy, and feminine to the max. Conjours images of fluffy clouds and cherubs. The lily note in this is a particularly lovely one, very sweet and a perfect companion to the rose note. There is not a lot of throw, and unfortunately blends like this don't last long on me. It's a lovely blend just the same.

    Come to Me

A very clean, fresh, soapy scent. Very pleasant and strong, and it has a ton of throw. There are some light florals layered over some sharp aquatic notes and dragged through a bucket of soap. It's a nice scent, and one I enjoy wearing from time to time, but not something that would go in my regular rotation.

    Scarecrow

This is a really unique one. It defintely does conjour images of sun scorched, barren fields, which is a feat in itself. There is a woodsy note in there, like a light oak or sandalwood. There are some resiny/smoky undertones, and they make this yellow/red scent for me. A very interesting blend. Not really my thing, but not bad.

    Black Pearl

This is such a wonderful scent, I can't believe I haven't bought a 5 ml yet! It's a coconut lover's dream; rich, creamy, buttery and decadent. There is a beautiful butter rum undertone that gives it a truly pirate-y feel, and my skin really pulls out this note. It's sort of like Werther's candies smeared over coconut flavored rum. Just lovely, I'm sure this must be one of the lab's most popular scents.

    Hades

Dark, masculine, and amazingly hard to describe! I'm not familiar with a lot of these ingredients. It's an earthy, foreboding scent; there is a sharpness to it that doesn't agree with me. It kind of reminds me of autumn, or being outside at Halloween. Definitely not my kind of smelly. The boy likes it though, so I'm sure he'll hijack this imp.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

This one reminded me immediately of Dorian. It's a gorgeous vanilla scent, with a gorgeous amber undertone. This is the same vanilla from Dorian and Antique Lace, but it's a little lighter in this blend. This is a very innocent, delicate scent; light and lovely. Amber and vanilla has to be one of my all time favorite combinations. I would probably get a bottle if the scent were a little stronger on me, but unfortunately it's not. I love it anyway, everyone should try this one.

    Sundew

A carnivorous enchantress: diverse, lovely and graceful, emitting a sticky, glowing golden, sweet and terminally inviting scent. Its dew is believed to grant eternal beauty and longevity, and restore vitality and vigor to the magician. Feminine, delicate, yet bold in its own right. This is a heavenly, womanly floral perfume that smells like a goddess in a bottle. It's like daffodils and flowering trees on a hot summer day. At first I thought it didn't have much throw, but it's one of those scents that clings really strongly to the skin. Sexy, I like this one a lot; destined to be a BPAL classic.

    Frumious Bandersnatch

Yum!! Spicy plums! This smells awesome, it's really fruity and fun. The plum note is on top. and it's really sweet and juicy. There is a beautiful cinnamon-y spice note in there, and I can dectect the carnation as well in the undertone. This is unlike anything I've ever smelled; really unique. I love it, I may need a 5 ml of this. It makes me happy

    Chaos Theory III: Strange Attractors

Wow, I got IX, so I guess I got one of the first ones made! It's a woodsy/herbal scent. There is definitely some sandalwood in there, and maybe a hint of patchouli. There is a deep, heady herbal that lies beneath, sort of like the herbal notes in Medicine Show. It wouldn't have been my first choice for a scent, but as woodsy blends go it actually smells pretty good on me. I guess that's the point of Chaos Theory, now I have a wood blend for my collection that I wouldn't have normally bought.

    Opium Poppy

A strong opium note haunted by a wisp of resiny smoke and a bewitching floral. This is a dark, dangerous, seductive scent; ultra sexy on either men or women. It doesn't have as much throw as opium scents usually do, it stays close to my skin like a beacon in the night . It makes me think of dark, spooky places and evil dark faery queens. Nice.

    Strangler Fig

This is indeed Eden's scent brother. I didn't realize how strong the fig note in Eden is until I sniffed this one. The only difference is Strangler Fig has a slight herbal note underneath, as opposed to the super foody undertone in Eden. I love Eden, and therefore I love this one. The lab has an amazing fig note, I can't wait to see it pop up in more blends. Gorgeous

    Blue Moon 2004

Wow, I finally got to try this one, yay! It is every bit as lovely as I expected it to be. A pale, beautiful cucumber note dominates this blend. The background is a wispy mix of the poppy and the buttercup, and it's white and mysterious like a ghost. Annabelle Lee was a bit like this one, I suppose that would be a decent replacement for the elusive Blue Moon. This blend reminds me of banshees and white wizards screaming through the night. I love it, I will surely cherish my little decanted imp

    Unseelie

I finally scored an imp fo this, I've been dying to try it, yay!! A very unique scent. Dark, wispy, evil florals over a pleasant green herbal scent. It reminds me of night time, like walking through a green house at midnight. The grass note gives it a fresh, cleaner feel and puts an all around wonderful spin on this gorgeous blend. It's like no BPAL I've ever smelled before, and of course I love it because I can never get more A beautiful scent, love it love it! Definitely does conjour up images of the faery court

    Brass Balls

Oh poo, this one is just not for me. Very Very strong scent, extremely earthy. Sort of like damp sod with an overwhelming herbal undertone. Unfortunately, this is a very disagreeable scent for both my husband and I. It reminds me of something that's rotting in the earth. Eeeek! I rarely find scents that are this icky on me, but this one takes the cake. I'm bummed because I really wanted to wear this one to work every day, where I need a lot of confidence. I'll find my bottle a more appreciative home.

    White Light

Smooth, white and pure. The essence of lightness. This is a bright white floral, but there is an edge as well; a sharpness I cannot quite put my finger on. On the drydown it goes a bit powdery on me, but there is still that base white floral to balance it out. A hard one to describe, obviously, but very nice. I bought this one to wear to work to try to draw in some more positive energy, I'm very glad I like how it smells.

    Amor

Oooh la la! The first thing that comes to mind is fizzy cherry soda! Yum! There's a lovely deep note underneath the cherry, and at first it reminds me a lot of Black Phoenix. It has that same "evil" cherry quality combined with an intoxicating under musk. On the dry down it begins to smell a bit like cherry and star anise, as a lovely licorice note appears. This blend has that wonderful quality of smelling both foody yet undeniably sexy and appealing at the same time. My husband and I are both enchanted with this one, it smells heavenly.

    Lotus Moon 2006

Ahhh, gorgeous. A heady, sexy woman's perfume. What's not to love? A beautiful combination of strong lotus, amber and opium. Slightly resiny but also sweet and floral. Very pretty, makes me feel boozy and slightly drunken.
  20. QueenFae

    Wanton

A very light, feminine rose filled scent. The attar of rose is definitely on top, and it's a pink, perfumey, girly rose note. I can smell a bit of the sandalwood, but it's not overwhelming and it sort of fades into the background. The patchouli is hovering underneath it all, barely there but just enough to give it a bit of an earthy kick and to redeem it from being a completely rosey blend. A very nice blend, not a lot of throw or staying power though.
  21. QueenFae

    Pluto

A sharp, wooded scent. This reminds me a bit of pencil shavings with a cedar edge. Is there some vetiver in there? Maybe that's the problem, vetiver and I hate eachother. This sort of reminds me of walking into one of those stores where they sell unfinished wood furniture. A bit too earthy and sharp for my liking. I'll find my bottle a better home.
  22. QueenFae

    Neptune

Definitely a masculine scent, most appropriate for Neptune. There are some deep aquatic notes in there, smeared over with some sort of darkly cologney tones. It is a dark green scent for me. Smells really sexy on my man, who immediately claimed the bottle. Fine with me, I like it on him, but not on me.
  23. QueenFae

    Yemaya

I bought a 5 ml of the TAL version of this blend on ebay for $78! Boo! This one smells exactly the same, and costs a lot less. It's a gorgeous fruity blend; it reminds me very much of watermelon Now and Laters candy. There's a beautiful blurring of different melon notes in the background; honeydew, cantaloupe and perhaps a hint of peaches. This is one of my favorites, and now at least I don't have to feel guilty about using up my $78 bottle!
  24. QueenFae

    The Lady of Shalott

Definitely a very light, aquatic scent. The aquatic notes are somewhat "tart" as the description promises, which gives them a bit of a bite. There is a backdrop of lovely, white florals that remind me of night blooming jasmine. I can't smell the white ginger at all, but I can detect a little bit of a white musk. This reminds me of Ophelia. It's a lovely blend, but not quite my style. Not a lot of throw and I'm sure my skin would devour all traces of scent within an hour or so.
  25. QueenFae

    Tweedledum

Now this I love!! Strong, lovely patchouli note complimented by a lovely tea scent. There is a gorgeous undertone of the fruity mango. This reminds me a bit of Depraved, but sweeter and lovelier. This reminds me of the way Pier 1 smells! It's a combination of their peach candles, tea, and incense! It has a lot of throw and is pretty strong. Yum, I love this so much I think I need a 5 ml.
