Whoa!! Hot spicy cinnamon scent! I could have sworn there was leather in this; it smells just like a cinnamon saddle on me. I guess its the musk I'm noticing; it's very dark and swarthy. The cassia is there in the undertones but it's a note I have to search for. All in all: way too cinnamon for me; I'm usually not big on the hot red scents. But; this is a surprisingly strong and long lasting scent, which I'm sure many will appreciate.

This is immediately bright, citrusey, uplifting and green. This is a very happy scent . The pink grapefruit and the lime is definitely on top, with the rose close behind. There is an effervescent, white, bubbly undertone of something I can only describe as lightness. I can't smell much of the patchouli, but there is a certain earthy feel to the bottom of this scent. This is very fun and lovely.

My first thought when I tried this one was, "French whore house!" But, I love it, and that is a good thing for me because I love strongly feminine scents. This is a very strong, commanding floral, very "pink" for me. This is a blend with balls, and the sandalwood in this puts a nice spin on a bright amber blend. I was sure there was jasmine or roses in this, because it actually smells very much like a powdery floral on me. The honey gives it a smooth, sexy under current. There is just enough spiciness to make it sexy as hell. This is beautiful, and I have been wearing it constantly since I got my bottle

Oh I already love this! This is a very foody one; and when first applied it reminds me a bit of Gluttony and Hellcat. It has that same, buttery, rich, vanilla undertone that I just adore. There is a tiny hint of cinnamon spice as well. What makes this foody blend unique is the vague undertone of roses, which is more of a green floral than overly pink or red. I don't smell much of the berries from the tarts, but that's ok. I think this reminds me a bit of a sugared rose scent, but with much more butter than sugar. Overall: I love it!! I think I will be purchasing a 5 ml

When I first put this on, I got a very weird, burnt plastic scent. This is a sharp red scent, slightly spicy and rather strong. When this settles on my skin, it begins to smell a little better. The dragon's blood is on top, and I really love dragon's blood blends, but the black pepper throws everything off for me. The pepper ends up as an ashy, burned up black undertone, with a strange spicy aspect to it. All in all, not working very well on my skin. The good news is, the hubbie tried this on and it smells fantastically sexy on him. I'm sure he will claim my bottle for his own.

This is lovely and unique. I put some on my cleavage last night, and I was surprised by how much throw this has; it's very strong and somewhat long lasting on me. This is a very green, citrusey scent on me. I can definitely smell the orange note, and there is a beautiful, fresh, sharp herbal undertone. The florals are smeared over the top, and are a perfect combination of a fresh spring bouquet and the attar of rose. The florals give this a slightly perfumey quality, but in a very nice way. This is very feminine, fresh, original and delicious. I love it, I am happy to have a bottle.

Ooooh, this one's cool. It's a very enticing evil lily scent with a sharp, herbal, yet spicy warm background. It's very complex on me, and each sniff smells different. Sometimes I smell lily, sometimes cinnamon spices, sometimes cherry coke! This is indeed rather hard to describe, and definitely one that everyone should try. Very lovely in it's uniqueness.

This is fantastic. I knew I wanted a 5 ml before I even tried it on my skin. This is a fresh, crisp, deliciously red apple scent with an evil, dark undertone. This is probably the strongest apple scent I've ever sniffed, it has really nice throw. The hemlock and opium combine to form a biting, sharp undercurrrent of sexiness. There is a bit of a sharpness shock when you first sniff this; it made me say WHOA, but immediately made me fall in love. I love this, I will definitely be purchasing a 5 ml!!

I love the label on this one, so cute!! I was very nervous about this one, because it has some of my enemy notes in it like spanish moss. I was afraid this would smell like Undine on me, and man oh man, did Undine disagree with me. Roux Ga Roux is actually quite lovely. It is indeed an earthy, boggy smell, but it's sweet and floral rather than being sour and deadly. The floral note in this is so innocent it's almost girly at one point. But my first instinct is that this is a rather masculine scent. There is a lovely, subtle, aquatic base that balances out the sweetness of the floral. This is a very complex, creeping, dark, swamp creature scent. This is nice, but not something I'd usually wear. My husband already likes this, and will surely claim my bottle for his own.

Yes indeed, here's the real deal: Sugary sweet carnation. This is light, feminine, beautiful; everything I would expect Pink Moon to be. Carnation doesn't have a lot of throw on me, but the sugared note makes up for it with its own throw. I do like the original Pink Moon more than this one, because, come on, who can resist cotton candy? But, this is a beautiful scent, I like it very much and I will enjoy using my bottle. Pretty!

MMmmmmm, yummy fruity decadence! I mainly smell black cherry and grape smothered over with grapefruit. There is a certain creaminess to this fruit blend; I'm not sure what it is but it's so.....unexpected. Like a cherry fruit salad with whipped cream on top. Simply divine. This does not have a lot of throw, and it stays very close to the skin. But, close, up, it smells simply wonderful. I love this, and I would love to get my hands on a bottle.

Miskatonic University Soap (by Silk Road Trading Company)
QueenFae replied to Desanera's topic in Suds
This is a gloriously smooth, deep brown bar of soap. Since the MU oil is such a strong scent, I really expected this to be a very strong soap, like Snake Oil was. But, this is a much lighter scent than the Snake Oil suds, still lovely though. The MU soap smells mainly like the rich wood notes, with a hint of the rich caramel tones in the background. I absolutely love MU, and this was such an excellent choice for suds. I love this like I'm sure I'll love all the BPAL suds, but Snake Oil is still my favorite so far. -
This is a surprisingly commanding, sharp, direct scent on me. It is mostly lavendar and smokiness on my skin. There is a tiny hint of cedar and citrus in the background. This is very clean and cool smelling, I'm rather surprised that I like it, but I do. This has quite a bit of throw when first applied. I haven't worn it long but I imagine it will be pretty long lasting. This is something I would like to wear to sleep at night, this would be lovely on either of the sexes.

Yum, this is a very sweet, baked goods scent on me. The vanilla is on top, and I can't smell much of the bourbon at all, it's not boozey. The clove and red musk combine to form a very warm, red, spicy undertone to the foodiness of the vanilla. There is a lovely, smooth, creamy amber base that ties everything together. This is a very rich, decadent, glowing scent. This is absolutely lovely, and I just love it. I would certainly buy a bottle if I could get my hands on one.

The initial stage of Love Me smells like dragon's blood and patchouli on my skin. It's a very strong, commanding red scent. When it dries down, the cinnamon really starts to come out more. The dragon's blood is still there, but it is tamed down to a smoky/resinous back drop for the cinnamon. I like the early stages of this very much, but it gets a little too cinnamon for me on the dry down. I do like this, though, and I'm sure if I wore this to the bar the boys would swoon.

This is lovely. The initial stage of Tamora smells almost identical to Fae on me. It's a soft, effervecent peach scent. Very fruity, feminine, pink. On the dry down, the sandalwood starts to show a tiny bit, but is still mainly a background note. The amber comes out a bit more as well, but this certainly remains a sweet peach scent. I like this very much, but it is so similar to Fae on me that I probably won't get a bottle; I have a full bottle of Fae. A very nice peachy BPAL scent.

I was not sure if I would like this; I was a bit nervous about the pink pepper note. But this is just wonderful!! The dominant notes on me are the tobacco, which comes out very sweet and sexy, the oak vanilla note, which has always been one of my favorites, and the patchouli. This smells like a sexy, deep woodsy, vanilla incensey blend on me. This is extremely seductive, yowsa, as sexy as it gets! This has medium throw, and although I haven't been wearing it long, I have a feeling it will last a very long time on my skin. This would be lovely on both sexes, but the boy is not getting his hands on mine!! I love this, I am thrilled to have a bottle.

Oh how excited am I to finally have a chance to try the elusive F 54!! When first applied: Fruitiness, like red cherry lollipops. The initial stage of this reminded me of a combination of Jailbait and Stardust. Innocently sexy, with a light boozy background. Dry down: The dark musk, clove and black rose really begins to emerge. The clove note gets very, very strong, and this begins to smell like a black, smutty, cherry booze. I'm normally not a fan of clove, but it works well in this blend. This still reminds me a bit of Stardust, there is similar booze/fruit thing going on. This is a glorious scent, of course I love it because I'll never be able to get my hands on more I always love what I can't have

This smells almost exactly like Somnus on me. It is a slightly sharp floral blend. I thought this smelled very much like lavendar, but everyone else is saying jasmine, so maybe I have my smells confused. It has medium throw and lasting power. This is a pretty straight forward blend, wish I had more to say. If you are a Somnus fan, you will love this. Pretty, but not quite my thing.

There is an initial impression of a light rose scent; it smells very much like pink roses. There is another aspect to this scent, though, a rich, deep, spicy undertone that smoothes everything out. I guess it's rather woodsy, but in a glowing, red/brown, decadent type of way. On the dry down, the rose shows itself again, but now it smells more like rosewood, and the rich spiciness goes away. This has medium to light throw. This is very pretty and feminine. Not my type of thing, but lovely just the same.

This smells like yummy, fresh, cinnamon apples on me. It's certainly very fruity, in a dark berrilicious way. On the drydown, the apple starts to smell more like ripe berries, and they are a perfect compliment to the cinnamon. I'm not big on cinnamon blends, but this is a really nice one. It reminds me quite a bit of Blockbuster, one of my GC favorites. This has pretty strong throw as well. This is bright, vibrant and gorgeous!

This is a very, very light scent, and my skin instantly eats up a lot of the smell. I can detect a very soft, creamy, sweet scent. My first thought is amber and vanilla, and then I picked up on a floral that didn't agree with my skin momentarily. I agree with the others that it must be carnation, that is a floral that usually doesn't work for me. The carnation is fleeting, though, and this dries down into a really pleasant honey/ cream scent. This smells really yummy, but it is so faint on my skin. I wish it had more throw, but it is very lovely.
-
This is a clean, outdoorsy, earthen scent. It's hard for me to pick out individual notes, but I guess the bergamot is on top. The patchouli floats through the undertones, and gives this blend it's woodsy feel. This is what I imagine a sexy, mountain bred cowboy would smell like fresh out of the shower. It is indeed rather masculine, but not so much that a woman couldn't wear it. This is a very strong blend, and extraordinarily long lasting. This is exactly how I would like my man to smell, so I bought him a bottle of this a year ago. I think I still like this better than him!

This is gorgeous! At first sniff, I immediately thought of Ice Queen, one of my all time 10 ten BPAL favorites. This is like a lighter version of Ice Queen, but instead of the heavily fruited undertones, Snow Maiden has a more piney undertone. The sweet, frozen, amazingly lovely winter note in both blends is identical. This has medium to strong throw, and lasts a long time just like her big sister, Ice Queen. I am thrilled to have a bottle of this, since I can no longer get my hands on Ice Queen, this is an excellent replacement. Wonderful!!

At first sniff, this definitely reminds me of Snow White. It has very similar undertones. Yes, this is like a gentle version of Snow White with a sparkling, wintery, mint as the top note. Snow Flakes is the love child of Snow White and Snow Bunny. Very snowy, white, clean and refreshing. This clings close to my skin and doesn't have a lot of throw, but Snow White lasts forever on my skin, and I have a feeling this might too. This is a very pretty scent, not my thing, but lovely on the right person.
