Vial: Slightly sweet incense scent with just a hint of sage. Not smelling much lavender. Wet: There's the lavender! She decided to show up with fashionably late with her entourage of resins. It's not at all boastful but it's still there. Dry: Smelling equal parts of lavender and sage with just a tad of labdanum and frankincense lying beneath them. I didn't smell any of the lemon peel. I think the resin notes completely subdued the lemon peel because I couldn't detect a trace of it at any point between vial and drydown. I don't think this is something I'd wear, but I'd love to try it on my tart burner. Maybe as an act of atonement.

Vial: Heavy, musky amber with a incense-y hint. Wet: Whoa, slow down there amber and frankincense. These notes blended together are a bit too aggressive for me. Dry: Most of the imps I've tried tend to disappear or become completely subdued, but this wasn't the case. Even after a whole day of school and work the amber was still nagging at me. I found this blend to be extremely masculine and powerful, maybe a little too much than it should be. I love frankincense blended with less "masculine" notes because I believe they balance the resin smell nicely; that wasn't the case with Titus. Not something I'd wear nor would I want my future husband to wear, really. Oh well.

I could trace all the notes in the vial except for lavender, boo. Too much bergamot and ginger when wet. As it dried all I could smell was pure bergamot with very submissive citrus hints. I wish the lavender notes would surface a little more on my skin, since I love lavender. Oh well, time to stash/swap away with this.

Feels like the frankincense and rosemary are struggling against the other citrus scents. Schools of magic fighting against each other as their energies collide and swirl and are condensed into this tiny little imp sitting in front of me.

Vial to wet to drydown: all I smelled the whole day was lemon verbena. No hints of grapefruit or musk on me. I like citrus scents, but I didn't fall in love with this one since it ended up being too simple of a scent on my skin.

Vial: Tangy, sweet with a hint of fresh soil Wet: Absolutely loving my skin. A little citrusy and clean, but still retaining the fresh soil notes. Dry: The tangy scent is still sharp, which was a surprise to me. I think I've fallen in love with my first LE.

Anne Bonny, you are indeed a wicked and cruel woman .. to my body chemistry. I'm not sure if patchouli is for me, or if it's something I'll acquire over time (or finding the right blend). This was too heavy and spicy when applied to my skin. During the drydown it was like a patchouli/sandalwood cloud kept following me around all day. Methinks I need to stay away from 100% spicy/woody/incensey blends that don't have a least one citrus or floral note. ETA: I think I've actually acclimated to the spicy/woody notes of this blend. Kind of like it now that I've given it another try.

I think it's the lavender + jasmine + chamomile that are giving me a different impression, because I instantly smell like a fancy blend of calamine when I wear this. I don't think it's a bad thing, because calamine is something I could sniff 24/7. However, because of this association, I don't feel like this is a fitting bedtime scent for me. This is more of a scent I would apply after taking a hike in the woods and masking the dirt and sweat off my body. Regardless of this scent being something I didn't expect it to be, I really like it. I'm actually going to give it a second shot before going to be right now!

Vial: Reminds me of Wolf's Heart, but not as sweet/potpourri-ish. Wet: Woody scent (elm). Not so bad, until we get to... Drydown: Powdery, almost Play-do scent. Ick. I'm sorry Odin, but we weren't meant to be. However, I'm curious as to how well you'd get along with one of my male friends...

Vial: Strong, clean smell. Reminds me of morning and the traces of rainwater on fresh cut grass after a storm. Wet: Citrus + rain smells! God, I love it! It's almost like I'm bathing in a light shower of grapefruit and rainwater. Dry: Still going strong! No major changes or decreased sharpness of the notes. I think I romanticize "soapy" scents way more than other people I know. I find "ozoney" scents maintain a consistent smell from vial, wet, to drydown. It seems a bit plain, but it's almost like a "classic look" for me, except in scent form. I always want to wear cleaner, ozone-y scents, but everyone around me teases me for smelling like a bar of cheap soap. I wish other people would understand how much I love clean scents like this.

Wow, this blend was way too complex for my nose and body chemistry. I'm not a fan of spicy scents on my person, but I figured I would give this a try. On my skin it's a very strong clove and patchouli. There's another note that seems to be messing it all up for me, especially during the drydown. I think spicy notes + vanilla + lime are an automatic olfactory boycott (maybe it's just vanilla + lime in general). I'll stow this away and give it another try, but for now I have to give a thumbs down, sadly.

Grants courage under extreme conditions, helps overcome fear of death, and strengthens the fortitude of artists and businessmen, enabling them to further their goals. Vial & Wet: Smelled about the same, which was herbal, woody, and kind of potpourri-ish. I applied it on one of my male friends and he said it smelled too sweet on his skin. I didn't smell the sweetness, but I definitely smelled a sort of masculine floral scent. I don't really like Wolf's Heart; it gives me a headache. But it might just be a Pavlovian association with my cheesy/tacky Filipino uncles who practically bathed in a similar cologne when I was a child.

This is one of my favorite scents. I never knew I would be a big fan of jasmine until I noticed I also loved Nyx. I thought the vial/wet/drydown transition was very balanced. Florals tend to go powdery-sweet on my skin, but Nuit stayed even through-and-through. I'm definitely purchasing a bottle of this.

Vial: A Very clean, sharp rose with a hint of rosy sweetness Wet: Frankincense is checking, downplaying the sweetness. Dry: Way too sweet, no traces of frankincense at all. Overall: Rose and frankincense are in my top five favorite scents, but despite my anticipation Rose Cross didn't do it for me. I loved the scent while wet and in the vial, but the drydown was way too sweet on my skin. This is the first rose blended oil I've tried from BPAL, so I'm going to have to pass on this and give the other roses a try. And as usual for me, I'm going to have to use my imp solely for oil burning.

Vial: Sharp traces of wood/earth, probably the incense Wet: Citrus combined with the woodsy scent. Dry: Clean ozone smell, no woodsy/incense traces at all. This is the kind of scent I enjoy wearing and would probably abuse 24/7, but I think I would appreciate it more during the colder/damper seasons. I don't find this scent masculine at all because of the citrus notes. This would work well as a kitchen scent in my tart burner, which I'll have to try later tonight.

Vial: absolutely delicious floral that had me itching to try it. Wet: Sweet, with a light hint of sandalwood. Dry: dried down to a powdery, very sweet intense jasmine. I really have to be in a a certain mood to wear sweet florals, and I'm not quite sure about this one just yet. I love the application when wet, but the dry-down was a bit disappointing.

Vial: very clean lavender smell. First "clean" smell I've encountered in-vial that didn't smell soapy. Wet: very sharp lavender and moss Dry: so lovely and warm! Definitely smelling the amber. I absolutely adore this scent. I applied it to one of my male friends and immediately fell in lust with him. It's definitely a refined, intelligent, and masculine smell that I hope bathe my future husband in.

In Vial: more soapy that citrusy. Wet: Smelling more of the citrus/grapefruit scent. Dry: Powdery and citrusy. I'm really happy the soapy scent didn't linger on my skin. I'm not very big on scents being powdery as the scent dries and fades, but I actually like how subtle the powder scent was with this one.
