http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush...PALEatMebot.jpg In the bottle Cake! Yummy. On Buttery cake, something chocolatey, and something a wee bit boozy and this all blends to make a foody scent with a sexy undertone. Is it coconut I smell in here? Reminds me a bit of "Velvet" mixed with a bit of fruity/boozy that is quite nice. 30 minutes As it dries it smells more similar to "Spooky" on my skin. Throw: average Scent category: Foody Summary Foody, creamy, buttery goodness, then a few minutes later, boozy/fruitness is included. This fruitieness is what really would set this apart from other foody blends imo. Unfortnately this phase didn't last on me. Purchase again? No. I love the wet phase but not the dry down. I like the way Mitsvah or the Monsterbaits smell on me more than Eat Me. I felt the same way about Spooky so take that into consideration hehe. Something in there just morphs on my skin into something that smells like burning coffee. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush...LRadofRabot.jpg In the bottle I smell Mandarin, but creamy as well. It makes me go "Mmm". On (dab on skin and annointing a gold colored candle) Neroli. If you like Neroli, you'll love Radiance of Ra. It's also got alot of orange blossom? And something else I can't quite get. A creamy or powdery floral? 30 minutes It's not as strong as it was in the beginning on my skin but is still as strong on the candle. I am fortunate to have some of Beth's orange blossom sn and i'm convinced that anything made with her ob is going to be good to me. The working effects of RoR are great, as it begins to dry it it brings feelings of joy and a magnetic, warm, loving, vibe comes over me. Strong, but gentle. If it were a color it would be kind of soft coral, orange, as well as golden. Throw: Average Scent category: Citrus/Floral? Summary More gentle when dry, a strong blend initially. It's not as "woo!" as BPAL's "Sol" blend but somewhat along those lines when it's wet. It doesn't have that dill smell (that probably isn't dill) like Sol does to some people's noses when wet. Radiance of Ra is warmer, more subdued and creamier, still very orangey though. Great working blend! After reading that Yeahbutnot smells carnations, the light bulb finally went on over my head regarding the mystery floral note I smelled but couldn't place. Purchase again? Yes 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4.5 smells good and is an above average working blend for me upon first time use.

In the bottle This is a golden colored blend. It smells of honeysuckle in the bottle. On Initialy I smell honeysuckle, and seconds later here comes the cinnamon. No one is stronger, both being equal and nicely balanced. Note: I agree with above poster, It does smell like there is lilac in here but I'm not sure, it's hard to smell to seperate it out because of the honeysuckle, both florals being somewhat sweet. And the cinnamon is not leting me pick anything out. It does remind me somehwat of Chimera as well, but this one being stronger to me. 30 minutes It almost has a fennel-like scent because of the cinnamon but after around 30 minutes when it's completely dry the cinnamon backs off a bit so the floral can come through more, which is good. Throw: Yes, more than average. Scent category: Floral/Spicy Summary I love spicy blends and I don't usually get to try a spicy floral. This is nice. Not what I expected at all though. I expected lavender, more as "the ethers" would smell, whatever that means. It's a nice surprise though, just different. It's a different blend most definitely, I've not smelled any bpal blend like this as really with the exception of Chimera. Purchase again? Yes. I would use this as a "working" blend (maybe as the 5th element) primarily but I would also wear this, but only sometimes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle Mmmm...I love Peony. I've been fortunate to try Beth's single note Peony and it is lovely. Historically, I've not been a huge floral fan but because of Beth's Peony I consider myself to be a floral lover now. On Beautiful. I can't describe what peony smell slike, it's soft, fresh, pale pink. The plum blossom is swooooon-worthy. 30 minutes It turns somewhat soapy on me but nothing that would make me not want to wear this lovely fresh floral. Throw: Yes. Scent category: Floral Summary This Lunacy blend is right up there for me in popularity with Blue Moon, Hunter Moon, Fruit Moon, Sleepy Moon...the classics. *wink* Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4.0-4.5 (edited to add: can't decide just now, will update a bit later)

In the bottle Sa-weet mother of God. On I don't smell any booze, I think I'm glad, it's LUSHIOUS blackberries and a thick caramelly middle...wait...here comes the booze. Oh man, if you love BPAL's "Bewitched" or "Glasgow" but wish they were less herbal and more foody, this is YOUR blend. I love all blackberry blends period, but this is a wonderful addition of a foody blackberry blend. 30 minutes There's this hint of darkness that creeps in (the Bourbon) and it's driving me wild right now. It almost has that currant smell, kinda earthy, berryish and sexy. Great, I wanna have drunken sex with berries. Throw: Average Scent category: Foody/Fruity/Boozy Summary Yum-may Purchase again? Yes! 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle I smell buttery caramel. I was worried that this would smell a bit like Spooky, because as you know coconut hates me. "MB: Under Bed" smells more like Mitszvah but more buttery and less burnt sugar. Reminds me of a cross between "Midway" and "Trick or Treat" a bit, but less candy like and more buttery rich. On Oh my. This is really good. It smells exactly like Angel Food cake with coconut just as the description suggests. And it is good on me thusfar. 30 minutes Gets a little toasted coconut smellng is the only difference. Throw: average Scent category: Foody Summary This is a thick and rich angel food cake and coconut scent. Yummy. Purchase again? Yes! 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

I'll do a review again as my first one dissappeared. In the bottle Smells like camphor or eucalyptus, pepper and maybe some kind of spice like clove. On This starts out warm and tingling and becomes minty and herbal to my nose. It's nice and smelling this blend makes it easier for me to breathe. 30 minutes It's present after about 40 minutes. Throw: average Scent category: Spicy/Herbal Summary This works first of all. I can feel it below my belly button but towards my back. If you like "Aries", "The Coiled Serpent", "Inferno", "Malkuth" you will most likely enjoy "Muladhara". Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle I've been wanting to try Pulse Points for a long time but am I also proceeding with caution as I should not like this by past experiences with both civet and narcissus. On Go figure, it's better than I thought it would be. It is a wee bit piercing and heady but nothing heinous imo. I think Queen and Van Van were actually more morhp-y on my skin than Pulse Points is currently. Narcissus was so piercing on my skin and this is actually more rounded than the sn was on me. There is no sweetness to this blend at all and it is as perfume'y as previous posts say. I do sort of smell that grandmotherly old time-y "smells like Grandma sofa's" smell. This really reminds me of lush's Ginger. I don't know why because Lush "Ginger" perfume has rose and ginger but it smells the same, it really does. 30 minutes It doesn't morph at all. It's still quite civet-y and strongly floral but there's definitely something to this blend that makes me sniff it more times than I'd care to admit. It smells better on me and more soft and feminine (albeit still perfumey) after about 30 minutes. It's kinda nice at this point actually. Have I lost my marbles? Throw: A bit yes. Scent category: Floral/Animalistic Summary OMG, I like this. Purchase again? No. Certainly not. Okay maybe. I can't believe a blend with civet is reeling me in this way. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3

In the bottle This is what I expected maybe "Peace" or "Snow White" to smell like. It's so unbelievabley beautiful I can't even describe. Olympia301 is spot on with her description. On I smell camphor but before you wriggle your nose, it's so light so that only the vaopr of it, the part that makes it easier to breathe, is left. And then there's this misty sweetness mixed with lavender. It becomes an airy breath of minty lavender and a pale sweetness on my skin when first put on. Ethereal with a whisp of sweetness. 30 minutes I cannot believe how fantastic this is to me. It is so good I made my husband smell it because I couldn't freakin' believe it. I still can't. He liked it by the way. The only negative thing I could possibly muster up is that it does not stay as strong for very long. But it is definitely not the most fading scent I've tried, probably somewhere in the middle average. I really do feel/think that this is the prettiest bpal scent I've tried to date. Throw: Yes a bit. Scent category: Herby/Aquatic ? Summary As far as elementals I can't make up my mind if Anthelion is a watery blend or a very air-y blend or both. It smells like a pale pale blue color or something like that. It smells like you'd think it would from the description of what an Anthelion is. People who like BPAL's "Aquarius", "Taurus" , "Blue Moon", "Peace", "Spirit" would like Anthelion I believe. Anthelion is in the same family tree as those on my skin. Anthelion has sort of something in common with all of them really; not as strong as "Blue Moon", not as light as "Peace", not as Lavender-y as "Aquarius" but similar, all of them are similar to my nose I don't know why. Some have some common ingredients here and there but mostly because they all evoke the same kind of vibe or feeling or energy. Ethereal, light, beautiful, crisp, lightly sweet, minty/herby aquatic. I like it better wet than dry. Purchase again? You bet, right now I would like to where this all the time no matter what I'm doing or where I am, even when I'm getting ready to sleep. OMG. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 5 I would heartily suggest any nose twins or people who may have similar skin chem as me to try Anthelion. It's incredible. I so need to ground after using this, It definitely seems to help me get into a pretty "air-y", creative and spiritual space.

In the bottle Plum blossom, peony, lotus root, Chinese musk and a hint of white ginger Sheesh, this is great too. I smell plum blossom, peony and lotus root primarily. Initially just a hint of green with a fresh background. On I still smell plum blossom, peony and lotus root primarily. The musk and ginger are present but not as much as the other three ingredients. 30 minutes The chinese musk is now more present and is kind of carrying the lightly sweet florals. A real fresh smelling blend. Throw: a bit Scent category: floral/herbal/animalistic Summary I love peony and I've never smelled plum blossom but it's gorgeous. If you liek fresh florals or green/florals you will like this quite a bit. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle This immediately smells like rum and caramel and coffee. Yumay. On The amber and tobacco smell like caramel and coffee. 30 minutes Its more like deep lushious currants and golden resinous amber now. Still great. Throw: Yes indeed. Scent category: Resin/foody/spicy Summary This is rich and toffeish initially and dries to a more currant and amber goodness but still dark, thick and foody. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle Sweet mother of God I don't think I can take much more of this much goodness. On It would seem this is now the 3rd BPAL rose blend (only) that I like, and which likes me. I've smelled the sn Tuberose and it isn't real primary in here to my nose (yay). This is such a different blend than any bpal blend I've tried. There is no blend to compare this to. It's so beautiful. I would say Khajurajo and Night's Pavilion are in the lead for best Lupercalia blends, with Luperci and Smut tuied for 3rd best IMO. How is it possible that I don't smell rose in here? Just lucky I guess. 30 minutes Nose twins: This is a six-bottle scent (as Night's P is too I believe). It smells like light, vanilla sugared sunshine with a vague creamy floral in the background. Dries down to a totally tropical smelling blend. I've never smelled date palm nor davana blossom nor champaca so I can only imagine these are what I'm smelling. Throw: average, you really have to put your nose to your skin to get at the goodness. Scent category: foody/floral/incense/resin Summary Foody incensey floral. Very different and surpringly out of this world fantastic on my skin. Khajurajo/Night's Pavilion/Smut/Luperci are all multiple bottle blends. You've created a handful of absolutely classic blends Beth. Purchase again? Yes! 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4.5

In the bottle Snake Oil smelling. That's the first thing that popped into my head. But this is good. On OMG, this is so good. There seemed to be for a split second, something nutty and sandalwoody and do I smell sasafrass? Dunno. I smell the sugar first, the dark caramely boozy notes second (and so far this all smells like vanilla a bit) than the smutty musks are kind of supporting everything I guess because I don't smell musk's telltale...muskness yet. This is really freakin' good. 30 minutes Okay the musk notes are there, and these all were apparently made for each other becuase they all combine to make a scent that isn't really musky and really isn't really boozy, it's just golden-brown, comforting, foody goodness. Throw: a bit Scent category: Foody/Animalistic Summary It smells like when I put my vanilla pods in the sugar bowl. After I scrape vanilla beans when I"m baking (right) or my husband is baking, I pt the pods in the sugar bowl to flavor and scent the sugar. Emeril taught me that. That's what Smut smells like....but musky. Soooo good. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle This smells like apple peel, myrtle and quince primarily (it's really yummy). And the jasmine is in the middle. minute tracesof thyme, and sandalwood way underneath. No trace of myrrh nor musk that I can smell. On This is working already. Wow, this is really yummy and beautiful. There are some blends that are light, bright, yummy and beautiful...Snow White...Fae...White Light....and then this splash of green yellow (from the citron and the apple peel?) here and there in the throw. 30 minutes The jasmine and the myrrh amps up a bit as it dries on my skin, but the other ingredients are still holding their own. Throw: Yes Scent category: Fruity/Floral/Incense/Animalistic Summary This is so different and it smells like you'd think it would from the ingredients listing, which is why I bought this. I am very pleased. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

On Just a reminder that rose and my skin chemistry do not get along historically. The white rose is so sweet and soft spoken compared to the other types of rose. But just as the previous poster rabid pointed out, it's softer and more innocent, yet it is a bit sharper. If I didn't know better I'd swear this had dill or frankincense in here. It does get more fresh and pretty the longer it's on my skin. 30 minutes It's lightly sweet, just a wee bit and this sharpness too and then the underiding freshness of the rose scent is there at the back end of the sniff so to speak. Throw: average Scent category: Floral/Resin Summary Not as floral or rose-like as I thought it would be. More delicate, which is good. If I could only smell the back end of the sniff it would be perfect, it's this other resin note that is in the way. Maybe I shouldn't have tried this one after Night's Pavilion, dunno. Purchase again? Dunno yet. I'm on the fence. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3.5

Luperci In the bottle Mmm...a golden honied musk. On Way better than I thought this would be. It's warm, golden, slightly sweet, soft honey and musk primarily. And the oakmoss is the background. I don't smell the juniper. And I've had Beth's sn juniper so I was looking for it, but it's not as noticeable. The patchouli is secondary and it is exquisite. 30 minutes Doesn't morph much. I smell musk and patchouli primarily and a bit of light sweetness because of the honey. Throw: a bit more than average Scent category: Incensey/foody/Animalisic Summary This is so lovely. I normaly never equate patchouli with "lovely" but this blend certainly is that. It's blend that a woman would want to wear, and smell. And I believe Luperci is what a man would love to smell too. It's somehwat perfumey, and warmly foody. Comforting and beautiful to wear. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

In the bottle Wow, really pretty like melon and cucumber...and mint? On Oh wow , it has an incredible amount of throw. It reminds me of Blue Moon in a way. Not as "icey" but it's sort of along the same lines. This is more spring like though, this smells of spring blossoms, light tea, green melon and cucumber, something herby and minty. Sheesh, this is good, finally a Lunacy blend that I like as much as Blue Moon. 30 minutes Doesn't morph but it does lessen in scent unfortuantely. It's so pretty this only means it's is a slathering blend then. Throw: An incredible amount, the throw period is when it's wet though, it does continue a wee bit into it's dry but no where near as much. It's just heavenly to me. Scent category: Green/Aqua/Fruity/Herbal Summary This is bright, lovely, airy and spring-like. It reminds me of blossoms budding and a cool stream nearby and some melon or cucumbery smelling plants. It's not a sweet blend at all, only the light sweetness of air, outdoors, green plants and water...vaguely sweet I guess is how it smells. It doesnt' stay as long as I'd like that's the only thing that makes me not want to give this a "5" rating, but I can't help it I'm going to anyway. Purchase again? God yes. Why didn't I get more than one bottle!? 1-5 rating (5 being best) 5

Here's a pic of La Fée Verte w/ Balthazar (#68/300) http://pic7.picturetrail.com/VOL202/154131...8/126354260.jpg In the bottle Mmm...La Fée Verte (which means "The Green Fairy" in French and Absinthe-speak) smells like a more complex, earthy, more citrussy and less licorice-y absinthe scent. It smells like wormwood, musk, herbs or roots, and the smell of sugared lemons underneath it all. On Mmm...more citrussy on my skin. Now it smells exactly like sugared limes to me with some lovely incensey note and the vague scent of absinthe but with less licorice or anisette notes. 30 minutes I'm smelling an earthy mushroomy scent like Lotus maybe or something I've smelled before in alot of blends. And the lemon or lime is quite strong now, almost piercing. The herbiness has moved to the background now. It still has that lovely, teeny bit of sweetness to it though in the back. Lovely. Throw: A bit. Not like the throw that Hellion has though. Scent category: fruity/herby/woody/incensey (maybe?) Summary Phase 1 is sugared lemons. Phase 2 is piercing lime with herbal, earthy and woody notes. Phase 3 More rounded and almost powdery now, it's lemony and herbal with a slight note of earthiness and a slight sweetness in the background. This is the phase where it might hook some folks who try it. When I catch a whiff of the dried down scent....Ohhh. It's quite lovely. The piercing quality is completely gone now and what's left is pretty, foody, but sensual. This is a medium strong scent with a minute amount of throw, that I think will last for a lot longer time than the average blend on the skin. Bu tnot as much as Hellion I don't think. Lemon or Lime primary, then some earthy and herby notes, then a light sweetness in the background, just underneath. Nothing comes to mind to compare this too really. Purchase again? Yes, I think so. I still like Absinthe just as much as La Fée Verte though, they're different but in the same family I guess you could say. This one is warmer, less licorice, deeper, more musky or incensey than BPAL's "Absinthe". 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

BPAL blends which uses as one of it's ingredients: Bayou. In the bottle This is a pale green liquid. Opening the bottle and sniffing it smells nothing if not real. Where I live there are mountains with many fir trees that have pinon nuts growing from them. This is what it smells like to gather these tasty nuts from the trees at gathering time. I'm stunned that it is so real smelling (of course it's real smelling) and so provacative of that whole picking the nuts in season. On So lovely. I even smell the evergreen sap, holy smokes. 30 minutes It stays nice, it's scent lessens too much for my taste but this is so nice it would be worth it to slather on a bit more, or more often. Throw: a wee bit Scent category: Green Summary So much nicer than any of the bpal pine, fir, eucalyptus type blends. Evergreen single note is a clean scent and really does help me breathe. It's soothing and cooling much like eucalyptus is. Even more of a nice fresh conifer smell in that regard than the juniper sn and that was really nice smelling. Purchase again? Yes indeed. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 5

BPAL blends which include Rosewood as one of it's ingredients: Dee, Séance, Medicine Show, Fenris Wolf, Himerus, Old Scratch, Despair, Viola, Ave Maria Gratia Plena , Golden Priapus, Libertine Kostnice. In the bottle As Aidenraine would say, this is a "Rosy McRosyington" smelling single note. I don't typically work with rose skin wise. Now I know the smell in "Kostnice" is not necessarily rose (well maybe there's some in there I can't remember) but this is what the smell in Kostnice, it's Rosewood, and it's in a couple of other BPAL rose blends too. I had no idea up to now that Rosewood would smell like Rose. I thought it would smell more woody or exotic or dark like sandalwood or mahogany, but rosewood smells like rose. Doy. On It's nice but it does have more than it's share of old fashioned rose scent within it. I like it, just surprised is all. 30 minutes It's turning soapy just a bit but it's a nice smell, I like it even better now that it's dry. Throw: a wee bit Scent category: Woody/Floral Summary It's a rose smelling scent that turns a bit soapy on me when fully dry. But it is pretty. Purchase again? Maybe 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3.5

Here's what some call a "spolier" pic of the statue and bottle and stuff: http://pic7.picturetrail.com/VOL202/154131...8/125155044.jpg In the bottle *is excited* Smells so addictive. Spicy, incensey, fruitiness. On I smell the plum, dark musk, patchouli, narcissus (lightly ont he narcissus but present) and the scorched sandalwood is out of my mind wonderful. 30 minutes It dries down to a more thick black plum with scorched sandalwood scent. More foody than when wet. A bit different now, not as tangy, muted now, but just as good. Throw: Yes, a bit. Scent category: Incensey/Spicy/Fruity Summary This smell slike 'Noir" mixed with "The Cracked Bell" a bit...but more complex than that really. It is good, real good. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4.5

Here's the lovely bottle: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush...owMoonmypic.jpg In the bottle Wow this really smells like Ice Queen in the bottle. I smell that watery base but icey cold water...and that fir/pine smell that is so good. On It's really twangy with the watery scent and the pine is lovely and gives this some nice throw. It's almost a pine and grapefruity combination of throw. 30 minutes Long lasting scent, medium strong. The floral is nout more and it smells like a wintery slope with pine trees and flowers. I'm loving that almost minty scent that's coming out in the background now, very fresh. Throw: Yes Scent category: Green/Aqua Summary Initially more pine and aquatic, then as it dries it turns more floral. Purchase again? No. Not my thing but the pine and the iceiness and the florals have a wonderful throw and a beautiful dry down. I'm loving that burst of fresh floral that I get a whiff of at the back end of the sniff, it's almost minty herby, it's gotta be the pine or one or two of the florals. That little freshness peaking out is what keeps me smelling this on my wrist. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4

Here's a pic of the lovely bottle: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush...hoenixmypic.jpg In the bottle Smells surprisingly good. Like strawberries and cream. On Good Lord. Why did I only buy one bottle? Cuz I thought it might be like Strawberry or Pink Moon of which both were too something for me. Nose Twin Alert: This is not too anything on my skin, this is good. It primarily smells of sweet pea and vanilla with strawberry. Then the sugared pear is in the back. I don't smell the honey really and it's turning more sweet pea based as it dries. 30 minutes This changes but getting even better, it's less foody now and more of a fresh floral with a red fruitiness. This would be great for spring or summer. Reminds me of Cherry Blossom a bit now. Throw: average Scent category: Fruity/Floral Summary Starts out thick, sweet and foody and turns fresher and more floral as it dries. I like this better than BPAL's Strawberry Moon, Pink Moon, and Red Phoenix...but not as much as Black Phoenix. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 4
-
Red Here's a picture of the lovely bottle: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush...hoenixmypic.jpg In the bottle Smells red and spicy. It's a dark reddish colored blend. On Smells spicy. It reminds me of BPAL's Malkuth but less berryish. 30 minutes Hasn't morphed too much but the cinnamon smell (wherever it might be coming from) definitely amps up on my skin. Throw: average for being so spicy Scent category: Spicy/Resin Summary I like Black Phoenix better really but this is a spicy alternative and not as sweet and not as fruity. It's got better than average staying power. In terms of strength I smell mostly the Red musk, Patchouli Chinese cassia and tobacco. The tonka is there with the benzoin in the back...and I don't smell the mandarin, nor the wild plum at all. Purchase again? Yes 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3.5
-
In the bottle Almost spicy with the tea, the lemon wraps itself all around everything, and even thought he sugar is light it adds alot to this blend. On Once it's on it smells so much better on my skin. Like a light sweet icey lemon italian ice. 30 minutes Doesn't change much except it does amp up on my skin. Now it smells of spicy lemonade. Throw: a bit yes Scent category: Citrus/Spicy/Foody Summary This is one of those blends that if I smell one way it's almost too something but if I keep in mind the ingredients, it's lovely. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating (5 being best) 3.5
