Woah! Smells like rubbing alchohol. Not very pleasant on my skin, but it sure does have throw!
-
I've tried this out a couple times and am always pleasantly surprised I keep expecting a basic aquatic (which is hit or miss on my skin) and maybe some flowers, but the sweet freshness like breezes off a freshwater lake is so pleasant and smile-inducing I immedieately moved it to my keeper box. Not great for throw or lasting power, but a keeper nonetheless. Edit because I just read the description and that is nothing at all like what I got That faint hint of aquatic is the dominant note for me, no lily, and not really any wood either. Crazy.

I tried this one awhile ago and only got cedar out of it. After a second try, I still predominantly get cedar, but there is a blossoming of incense that turns up later. Great throw and longlasting! Just a bit too heavy on he cedar - but I amp it like there's no tomorrow.
-
The description is spot on with me! Spicy and smoky sandlewood with a hint of antique rose in the back. Faint, but very pleasant. Reminds me a bit of Seance. Good bedtime scent I wore it last night and had fabulous adventure dreams!

Mostly sweet flowers and some cedar (I really wish I didn't amp dried cedar all the time...). Some spiciness as well and decent throw. Not a bad blend, but not the incense love-fest I usually look for. Worth trying again.

This really surprised me - not much vetiver at all. This is actually what I always thought Samhain would smell like (Samhain always goes to dirty pumpkin on me). So! Samhain without the pumpkin. I smell warm, cider elements and dark, dirty patchouli (Yes!) The oakmoss and fallen leaves predominate. This is fantastic - I just wish it had longer wear, as it fades pretty quickly. Good throw when it's at its peak, though. Edit because no-one needs another scent description...

This is very very reminiscent of Al-Azif - one of my very favorite blends. A little less of the thick smoke it shares with Viallainess' Friction which is much appreciated. A little smoother in its spicy smokiness. Not as sweet as Midnight Mass. Good throw and staying power. I loves it.

This is exactly as the description says! Dry, soft musk. Almost powdery but not quite. There's a slight smoke tang like the outdoors to it as well. This has very good throw and I can almost see the fur from the story. Fantastic! So, so glad I took a chance on a whole bottle!

As soon as I eased open the imp I was in love! Sweet, fresh mint with flowing water. This is fantastic! I feel more awake just smelling this If I ever need a revitalizing BPAL I know where to turn. This is such a winner! Great throw too. Best mint blend on my skin so far.

This is an oddball scent For all those dark notes I was hoping for I get light airy, sweet, cool figs with a bit of tarragon. This is very outdoors-y without smelling of trees. Smells of night air and figs is the closest thing I can think of. Strange, refreshing and nice. Not sure if it's a keeper yet.

For such a BPAL staple, I was expecting something wondrous. I would have been ecstatic if it had even just smelled similar to Snake Oil. I'm not sure I get what all the fuss is about at this point, because this oil just kind of stalls on my skin. It's vry indistinct - I get hints of greatness and I can understand that this is probably amazing on other people, but not for me Maybe I should let it age... Right now I get some spicy resin, but nothing very distinct. A warm blend. Wish I could say more, but this one kind of stumped me

I really wish I'd gotten the embers and incense Not to be - I amp honey like mad and all I smell is sour, sickly-sweet honey for quite some time. Well that explains it... Gets better the longer it sits on me, several hours later it's reminiscent of my beloved Midnight Mass. Not sure about this one, but I'll have to give it another try.

Hmmm...myrrh, a bit of musk and some patchouli that works well on me! For all the strong sounding notes, this is very shy on me. Turns a bit powdery, but not in a bad way. Not much throw, but spicy with a hint of amber to it. Probably a keeper.
-
This is a very dry, golden, spicy scent on me. Dries and fades quickly, but I'm left with the sage and the Balm of Gilead, I think. Mellow and warm and finishes slightly powdery. Nice, but may not be a keeper - I'll have to try it on the husband since he's a Sag and I've finally gotten him to try some BPAL

This smells just like fresh cut ivy in the bottle. Sharp and a little acrid, but pretty green. Once on the skin I gegt strong bursts of smoke - maybe some vetiver? Dark, slightly gritty smell and the ivy scent has disappeared. Very appropriate to its name. I like smoky blends, and though I can't see myself reaching for this often, it's one of those great BPAL scent pictures.

The keeper of secrets: opoponax, Tunisian black amber, night musk, antique patchouli, zdravetz, terebinth, myrrh, and Pimenta racemosa. This is heavenly! Many of my favorite notes in this one like oppoponax, amber, musk and patchouli I'm so glad this works! Resinous and spicy with a dark yellow scent color to it. Slightly sweet and pungent. Good throw and seems to be lasting a good long while. Keeps getting better the longer it sits, in fact! Such a winner Edit to add scent description

This one is kind of strange on me - sweet and fresh. Almost aquatic with touches of dragon's blood. Not at all what I was expecting. Very "outdoors in the fresh air" oil. Not much musk, incense, or woods (all my favorite notes), unfortunately. Nice though!
-
On wet this was what I think of as BPAL's red or pink rose scent, as opposed to the Parliament of Foules or Moon Rose white rose scent. This kind is a little thicker and more cloying. Once this dries it is a thick, warm, spicy combination with the frankincense. Nice, but not one I'll reach for often.
-
This starts out as a very full-blooded aquatic with some scattered blossoms strewn about. It dries down to a sweet, fresh aquatic with a hint of decaying blossoms. Nice!
-
Dirty, slightly sour skin musk and not much else. Boy do I hope this morphs and soon! I love skin musk as a note in other blends, just not seeming to work here so far.

Sweet mist and dew with faint bitter herbs in the background. Uh-oh.... starting to smell like hairspray...keeps going back and forth between sweet dewy mist and blech. Hm. Some gentle white flowers showing up now. Probably not a keeper, unfortunately
-
This is almost medicinal on me. Very intriguing scent! It really smells like munched up hay with spices that have gone through some kind of digestion process. (I know that sounds like it would smell disgusting....but this is kind of nice) I adore Hay Absolute!

This is a creamier version of Snake Oil on me Very smooth and dark. There's a hint of the freshness I usually get with bamboo and I could almost swear I smell some extra vanilla Delicious!
-
I'm amazed the clove didn't overwhelm everything since that's it's usual MO with me - yay! Sweet, golden and fresh. This had decent throw and lasted a good long while. I liked it, but probably not enough to keep. This was a surprise since honey and clove usually kill a blend for me.
-
Dry and spicy, this had great throw and lasted a really long time! Mostly musk, cumin, and woods on me maybe with a hint of dragon's blood or wine that sweeted it up in the backgrounds. Fantastic
