How do I buy forum-only oils?

I did the same thing this last update and emailed the lab shortly after my order to let them know my forum name. I think it was a combination of me being up & way too excited at 5am in the morning when I placed the order. Kathy replied back to my email later that day to let me know they got my name recorded. I'm sure it happens a lot with us scatter-brained, perfume-obsessed crazy people who try to place orders in the wee hours of the morning right after an update. My order arrived today and all 3 Forum scents are wins for me.

    Liz

Wet on my skin, this is a smoky vanilla. Not too heavy a smoke though. Oooh, the leather note comes out shortly after application. I'm just barely getting the floral note. This is definitely something to try if you're a vanilla lover. I keep huffing my wrist as I write this review.

    Mlle. Lilith, Fortune Teller

Sniffing the bottle, this reminds me of sugared orange blossom musk. On my skin, incense, pomegranate, orange blossom and musk. I agree that it's a much lighter version of Mme Moriarty, which can be a bit too heavy on my skin unless it's the dead of winter. This is another one I can't wait to see age a bit.

    Lilith vs. the Giant Crab

I got so excited when I sniffed the bottle, because it smells of the most amazing orange creamsicle scent. On my skin, it does start out with orange creamsicle, but an aquatic note soon emerges. From that point on, the scent seems to change from orange creamsicle to aquatic. The second testing went much better, more orange/tangerine and less aquatic. I think I still need to let the oil settle from its cross-country journey to see what it turns into. Very promising though.

    Cake Smash

Sniffing the bottle, I could have sworn this was Beaver Moon 05 or Beaver'versary. On my skin, it's yummy cream cheese frosting & red velvet. I get a lot of Dorian in this and a little Doc Constantine. I'm not really picking up the Snake Oil right now, but I usually have to wait for Snake Oil to age a bit before it stands out on my skin. I bought 2 bottles of this and am happy I did so. It really does make me think of birthday cake.

    Crossroads

Earth and moss on my skin....and Jasmine. **off to the swap pile**

    Dian's Bud

Aquatic note and cucumbers characterize this blend on my skin. Not really for me.

    La Belle Dame Sans Merci

Roses definitely. And something herbal mixed in. A little too blah for me.

    Horn of Plenty

Starts out very cherry on the skin. A few minutes after application, I get that smoky note others have experienced as well. Kind of turns into Cherry Brimstone on my skin. Not sure if I like it or hate it.

    Western Diamondback

This is spicy leather, sandalwood, sage & snake oil all rolled into one on my skin. Slightly powdery after application, but settles down as it dries. Good throw and lasts on my skin for hours.

    Banded Sea Snake (2006)

This is much sweeter than I had imagined it would be. Green Snake Oil is indeed a good description. It's vanilla swirled into oakmoss & olive leaf. Worth getting a bottle for myself before the Carnaval comes down.

    Eisheth Zenunim

This is mostly patchouli & cocoa on my skin while wet. I pick up a little of the peach note on dry down, but patchouli and cocoa dominate on my skin.
  13. angelicruin

    Marcilla

On my skin, I pick up lilac and nectarines the strongest...and the green tea. Lovely, light, but not a lot of throw or staying power on my skin.

    Vampire Tarot: The Fool

Sniffing the bottle, I get very moist soil. Wet on the skin, Peppermint is strongest note. I smelled the dirt note right after I applied the oil to my skin, but the peppermint took over soon after. Several minutes after application, PEPPERMINT PEPPERMINT PEPPERMINT. Whoa, is that strong! As the oil dries, the peppermint settles down a bit but I still can't really smell any other notes, but a softer mint on my skin. Fully dry, this is more of a sweetened spearmint scent. A little bit of dirt notes mixed in again and, at last, a bit of apple blossom. This is definitely an oil you need to be patient with until it's through morphing.

    Hungry Ghost Moon 2006

Very sweet on the skin. I'm getting sweetened grapefruit and sandalwood mixed in with a light musk. Light and refreshing.

    Knucklebones

Initially, black musk, lime, and rum on my skin. I pick up the orange blossom note on dry down. Dries down to a less sinister black musk, rum, and orange scent on my skin.

    Gwyneth

Roses, lily and skin musk. A faint whiff of coconut. Rose amps as it dries on my skin.

    Ashlultum

I'm getting coconut, vanilla tea, and lilac out of this blend. As it dries, it goes a bit soapy on my skin.

    Inez

Inez is gorgeous. It's this sweet resinous carnation, amber, and vanilla musky blend that plays so nicely on my skin. I will definitely be purchasing a full bottle of this amazing blend.

    Marianne

On my skin, heavy red musk and patchouli. The bergamot and lotus root emerge as it dries, but the red musk is definitely the major note on my skin. I like the blend and will be content to keep a decant of this.
  21. angelicruin

    Clémence

On my skin, patchouli, carnations, and spice. Clove really comes out on the dry down and blends so beautifully with the carnation note.
  22. angelicruin

    Cytherea

White sandalwood, patchouli, white amber, orris, bourbon vanilla, champaca flower, and kush. Immediately after application, I get patchouli and sandalwood. Bourbon Vanilla emerges soon after along with light floral notes. It's the same Bourbon Vanilla note I get in Sachs that I love so much. Very well balanced, light, but fades a little fast.
  23. angelicruin

    Baghdad

Musky, dusty rose and sandalwood on the skin. Amber is stronger the more it dries. Very pleasant smelling on the skin.
  24. angelicruin

    Bastet

Almond, myrrh, and cardamom are the prevalent notes on my skin. The almond, though strong, is tempered enough not to overwhelm me. I will hang onto the imp, but will probably hold off on purchasing a bottle.

    Manhattan

It's like the lab knew I just got back from NYC and decided to frimp me some Manhattan. This is a light citrus blend...I get lemon, tea, leather, and light mint on my skin. Fades kind of fast, but is a really refreshing, clean scent.
