Sniffing the imp, it's violets. On my skin, initially all violets. As it dries, I pick up more of the chrysanthemum and wisteria. A little too floral concentrated for my taste.

Sniffing the imp, it's lime, grapefruit, and lavender to my nose. On my skin, initially I get lime, tangerine, and lavender. Goes a bit herbal about a minute or two after application. Dries down to citrus, lime, and lavender. I'm not really getting any peppermint or chocolate on my skin.

Sweet, creamy floral. Definitely fresh smelling and very pleasant.

Sniffing the imp, it's mostly apricot. Applied on the skin, I'm getting the apricot, plum, and pomegranate fruit notes and musk. Vaguely floral, but mostly fruit and musk on my skin. Since this is discontinued, I will enjoy my imp as long as I can and consider a bottle if one goes up for sale in the future.

This must be my day for reviewing almond blends. Sniffing the imp, I'm hit with a sour almond note. On my skin, it's almond, cinnamon, and lily. No patchouli scent on my skin with this blend. The cinnamon and almond are pretty much killing every other note on my skin.

Sniffing the imp, it's frankincense and wood. Applied to the skin, this is mostly woodsy incense and amber on me. Wish I could smell the orange note, but sadly it is not making an appearance on my skin.

Sniffing the imp, it's cinnamon (cassia) blood musk. Wet on the skin, it's a bit sharp and a tad smoky. Very resinous. I'm picking up the cassia, dragon's blood, musk, and patchouli along with smoke. Smoke is very subdued so don't let that worry you too much if you don't like smoke. Dries down to a spicy cinnamon pomegranate musky scent. Very nice.

Sniffing the imp, it's cypress and rose. Wet on the skin, rose is dominant but not overpowering, if that makes sense. The chamomile softens the rose on my skin and keeps it from amping too much. As it dries, it becomes a little more woody, but this is still a rose blend on my skin.

Evil incarnate is spot-on with this scent. Vetiver and patchouli are not my friends in this blend. I can wear patchouli depending on what other notes are blended in the oil, but patchouli and vetiver together alone are not good. This scent is intense smoky fire and brimstone vetiver. Definitely not for me.

Sniffing the imp, it's got a burnt scent quality to it. On the skin, I still get that burnt (scorched) dry grass note. Very interesting scent. I agree it's a masculine scent....as it dries, this turns a bit powdery then soapy on my skin.

Sniffing the imp, it's woods and herbs. Wet on the skin, sandalwood and wood. Dries down to floral and herbs with woodsy quality.

Sniffing the imp, it's vanilla and sandalwood. Applied to my skin, vanilla, sweet pea, and sandalwood. Very sweet blend. The amber appears as the oil dries on my skin, but is a minor note. I'm getting mostly vanilla and sweet pea once dry.

Sniffing the imp, it's mostly wood note. Applied to the skin, it's still mainly wood, but I can also sniff a bit of the cocoa and palm. I'm not getting any of the fig though, even on dry down.

Sniffing the imp, it's lily. On the skin, it's a creamy lily blend. Very lovely, but isn't really grabbing my attention enough to want a bottle of it.

Sniffing the imp, it's mostly almond milk and honey. Wet on my skin, it's much the same as it was sniffing from the imp. I think it's the "milk" note that is making me vaguely nauseous. Dry, I can pick up the fig, sandalwood, and coconut notes, but that almond milk note just kills the blend for me.

Sniffing the imp, Hello ALMOND. Very strong! Wet on my skin, it's ALMOND overpowering most everything else. As it dries a bit, I can smell the rose note. Almond note is finally receding and I can now pick up clove, neroli, Sandalwood, along with the rose note. Rose being the most dominant note once dry.

Sniffing the imp, it's lavender, amber, and moss to my nose. Wet on my skin, it's amber and moss. Kind of smells bad on my skin. Dry, it's much the same as wet. My skin does not love this blend, that's for sure.

Sniffing the imp, it has an aquatic fruit quality to it. Wet on the skin, it's florals and fruit. I'm still getting an aquatic note from it as well. No amber. As it dries, the aquatic quality disappears and I now smell amber. Fully dry, it's amber, fruit, and florals. This combination is giving me a bit of headache, so I must pass.

Sniffing the imp, it's mostly tobacco. Applied wet to the skin, it's smoky tobacco and floral. Not really picking up the rum note yet. As it dries, the boozy rum note comes out a little and seems to sweeten the blend. The smokiness of the tobacco is gone now and this is a lovely mildly sweet tobacco and floral blend.

Sniffing the imp, I detect the vanilla, amber, and pine. Applied wet to the skin, it's a creamy pine and juniper scent. Amber is subdued on my skin, which is unusual for amber and my skin's normal reaction with it. As it dries, it remains much the same, a lovely vanilla-juniper-pine blend. No amber even dry. I get more amber sniffing the imp than applying the oil to my skin.

Sniffing the imp, this is a sweet baby powder-ish scent. Applying it on my skin, it's creamy myrrh after initial application, but dries down to that acky sweet baby powder scent I sniffed in the imp. Sadly, not for me.

Sniffing the imp, it's citrus, lavender, and orange. Wet on the skin, it's citrus, orange, and herbs. As it dries, the citrus and orange are still the most dominant notes, but I now smell the lavender again...and something sharp. It might be the jasmine, which can be overpowering on my skin. I can't decide if I like this or not. If it weren't for the sharp jasmine note, it would be a definite winner, but with it in there and amping more and more on dry down, I don't think this will be a keeper after all.

This is very difficult to describe. Sniffing the imp, I am picking up dust and incense notes. Once applied to the skin, it's mostly incense and what I assume is stone...not sure what stone smells like. The dust note is gone for now. Dries down to incense and a sweet faint floral. Quite an intriguing blend, but not really my style.

I received a frimp of this last year when I first got into BPAL. The frimp smelled nasty nasty nasty. I couldn't even bring myself to apply it to my skin it smelled so bad. Today, I was frimped another imp of this direct from the lab, and since it contains banana (which I adore), I decided to try it out again...this time it smells better from the imp... Sniffing the imp, it's banana and something else I can't quite pinpoint. On the skin, it's initially banana and wood right after application. As it dries, I can smell the floral notes and still the banana leaf and just barely smell the wood note now. All in all, it's not as bad as I initially thought it to be. I'm guessing I was possibly frimped a bad decant, or else maybe this oil ages into something I perceive as rancid. Still, this is not anything I would buy a bottle of. Just too iffy with my skin chemistry. Sad too, because as a rule I love banana and fruit notes.

Sniffing the imp, it's aquatic floral. On my skin, it's lavender and ozone. Pleasant, and I do normally enjoy Lavender notes, but this is just not something I'm feeling any attachment too.
