In the imp, it's all amber with a touch of rose Wet on skin, much the same. I generally run the other direction from oils with rose notes, but this is not bad. The amber blends nicely with the rose to give this oil it's "spun gold" quality. It's not something I would want in a bottle and I will probably pass this imp onto someone else to sample, but I'm glad I tried it.

In the bottle, this is a very clean smelling scent. I actually cannot smell any floral just sniffing the bottle. Wet on skin, this is a musky floral on me. It dries to a very delicate, soft floral with musk highlights and just a little sweet.

Wet on my skin, this a bit lemony with something else....I can quite place, kind of like the smell of Crayola crayons??? Dry, I can pick out the leather, cinnamon, dirt, and clove. I'm not sure on this one either. I'll probably let the bottle sit like Banana Peel and see what happens as it ages.

In the bottle, this smells exactly like a rotten banana, dirt, and grass. Wet on skin, it smells much the same except the banana note seems to be fading. Dry, the scent begins to soften a bit, thankfully. I'm still getting the same notes I have all along, but they've mellowed enough not to be so nauseating. I'm going to let this bottle age a bit and see what happens...

I'm dying to see the bottles of Banana Peel and Eau de Ghoul. Mine should be in Monday, but I'm impatient.

Thanks for posting those! I love the labels on the Graveyard series. Mine should be in on Monday. Do you have any more pics of other Graveyard bottles?

I have bottles of Prunella and Serpents... and they both have regular GC labels on them.

In the bottle: Fresh, green, outdoorsy. A tad bit citrusy Wet on skin: herbs and flowers initially Drydown: Lemon polished wood
-
In the imp: Violets and ozone definitely Wet on the skin: violet amber and a bit of smoke Drydown: ozone, amber, smoke with a little bit of floral violet
-
In the imp: I agree with the above review that it smells sharp and citrusy with some rose Wet on skin: I am smelling the cedar, fir, blackberries. Drydown: creamy (I think the white amber?) woodsy blackberries and rose, but not a heavy rose scent.

In the imp: Incense, amber, and a bit of floral though not dominant Wet on skin: same as in the imp, but something creamy too Drydown: smooth vanilla amber incense

I really hadn't planned to try this because the notes frankly scared me, but when the opportunity to buy a lightly tested decant came around, I added it to a purchase of some other lightly tested decants. I'm glad I did. In the imp: sweet pine Wet on the skin: pine tinged with sugar, musk, and herbs. Normally I run the other direction when I see both pine and herbs in a description, but this works for me. Drydown: mostly musk and pine. Very pleasant....not sure if bottle worthy though.

Visiting the Temple of Auspicious Fortune Alone on the Winter Solstice
angelicruin replied to femmefatale's topic in Yules
In the imp: I get dust or dirt, not sure which. Not very pleasant. Wet on the skin: Still just dust on my skin. Drydown: Dust and a bit of incense. I get no aquatic with this oil. Not for me. -
Purchased a decant of this to decide if worthy of a bottle. In the imp: spicy sweet sugar Wet on skin: vanilla licorice OMG I love this and MUST get a bottle of it. Dries to a powdery (but not soapy) spicy licorice with a bit of leather. Total yummyness

Snake Oil Help! Layering it, Snake Pit scents, blends with Snake Oil
angelicruin replied to spaceprostitute's topic in Recommendations
I have 4 from the Snake Pit: Coral Snake Australian Copperhead Asp Viper Boomslang Coral Snake is hands-down my favorite. But Australian Copperhead is a close second. Boomslang is like yummy chocolate-covered Snake Oil, but it really throws on me, sometimes too much even...and it stains my skin. -
In the bottle, I smell mandarin/orange/tangerine and melon. Wet on the skin, this is all cantaloupe on me. I like cantaloupe, but not sure it's the scent I'm going for when I'm out. Dry......still just melon. There are so many notes in this oil, yet all my skin amps is the melon to the exclusion of everything else. I can't even detect my beloved Dragon's Blood. *sigh*

Sugared violets is exactly what this is. I adore this scent! As it dries, I am getting a creamy quality as well. Just gorgeous!
-
In the bottle, sugar-slathered orange blossom. Wet on the skin, creamy Iris and Orange Blossom Dry on the skin, I almost detect incense along with creamy, musky orange blossom and Iris.

Wow, normally I cannot tolerate anything with vetiver in it, but in this case, it works on me. I think it's the cocoa and vanilla taming the vetiver enough to be wearable. This is a sharp scent, but is an interesting blend that is unique and works well with my chemistry.

In the bottle, fruity rose with vanilla. Wet on the skin, I can smell the earth, myrrh, rose, vanilla, red currant, and pomegranate notes. As it dries, I smell mostly incense, vanilla, faint rose, and fruit.

I just received a bottle of this. Fortunately, it does not have the acetone smell so many others are complaining about. Instead it is a very light strawberries and cream scent. The person who said it smelled like a Strawberry Shortcake doll is right on the money. But I do like it as a fun, light-hearted scent.

In the imp, I get maple syrup. Where'd that come from? Wet on the skin, Dragon's blood and musk. Dry, I still have Dragon's blood and musk...and something else, I think the wormwood. A very resinous, beautiful blend. Definitely bottle-worthy.
-
In the imp, it's berries and pine. Wet on the skin, I get the Iris and berries. As it dries, it's berries, Iris, and spice with a little bit of amber. One of the few scents that I can detect every note on my skin. Very lovely and intriguing.

In the imp, it is a lightly floral peach scent. Wet on the skin, it's peaches and musk with a hint of floral. Definitely a happy scent and I agree it reminds me of summer.
-
In the bottle, I smelled roses and cream. Once applied to my skin, I just amped rose and got no creaminess...even as it dried, it was still all rose. Oh well...
