The Fair Lady, Winter Witch, White Maiden of the Storm. Szepasszony is a Hungarian demoness that appears as a stunningly beautiful woman with long, silver-white hair and a blinding white dress. She revels in storms, particularly when hail rains down on her. Water dripping down eaves into a puddle is an invitation for her to cause mischief: she uses the puddle as a magickal tool for casting her wicked spells. It is considered foolhardy to step into a circle of short grass ringed by taller grasses, as those mark the circles where the Fair Lady dances. A chilly, tempestuous whirlwind of clear, airy notes, slashing rain, and a thin undercurrent of white flowers. In the bottle: Crisp, with an every-so-slighty-sweet bit On me: I was expecting this to be a "white" scent. Perhaps lily, or other white flowers. Which is why I never ordered this. I was lucky enough to have the lab include this as a freebie in my order. Surprisingly, this is a very BLUE scent. In fact, it is almost exactly like Bath and Body Works' Crystal Blue Waters - and I mean that as a compliment. If you like that scent, you will love Szepasszony. This is crisp, fresh, airy, and watery. Definitely an aquatic to my nose, not a floral. Beautiful and refreshing! Final notes: I'm not usually really big on aquatics, but I love this. It's just so refreshing.

In the bottle: Eww. No offense meant on the part of Beth's beautiful creativity, there are just some smells that don't sit right with me, and this is one of them. It smells rotten, like overripe fruit. On me: At first - this is still that vaguely rotting smell, with a touch of slightly dark nutty smell, that I quite dislike. I thought I was doomed to hate this scent. Then...about 5 minutes into it... it turns into a beautifully bright, crisp, fresh fig scent. There isnt' much more to say about this scent, except that it's the kind of fig that smells like it's right in front of you and perfectly ripe. It's a juicy scent if that makes any sense. Final notes: Fig isn't really my thing, though I do like it once in a while. If I'm in a figgy mood, Gomorrah is my scent. I'm really glad that my initial impression of this scent didn't stick. Though I wouldn't buy a bottle probably, I will definitely keep and use my imp (would make a LOVELY room scent, I just thought of that)

In the bottle: Simultaneously green and sharp, and yet also sweet and warm. On me: Oh, I had high hopes for Titus Andronicus. It sounded like it was right up my alley - with two of my favorite notes even (sandalwood and bergamot together!). But, quite unfortunately, this is immediately a soft, powdery scent. And nothing but. On me, there is no depth, no hint at the notes mentioned, just sweet powder. I think it's probably the amber, since I've noticed that the few blends I've tried that went powdery on me, almost always contained amber. Final note: I'm sad about this one not working out. I tried it not once, not twice, not even thrice, but FOUR times. All spread out throughout the month, in case it had to do with my hormones. Sadly, it came out the same each and every time. If your body is prone to turning amber into powder (as I understand it, quite a few of us have this problem) you might want to order this as an imp first to give it a test and be certain

In the bottle: Crisp, light, sharp, and somewhat confusing. Can definitely smell the tartness of apple and lemon in there, but neither note stands out distinctly. On me: Like some others, once this goes on my skin, it almost immediately becomes soapy floral. Just like lily does to me. I'm guessing this is the rose, which most of the time comes out rose the way it's supposed to, but sometimes comes out soapy like this. Unfortunately, this is soapy all the way through on me. Final notes: I wish it didn't turn soapy on me, so I could say more. In the vial though, I'm intrigued by the tartness, I'm sure on someone else it smells really interesting.

I'm voting for Dracul too, because it is dead sexy on any sex. It's spicey, alluring, and far from "manly" but still carries a masculine strength if that makes sense

Golden Priapus is green? I got the impression it would be warm and maybe a little sweet (from the description, I haven't tried it!). Thanks Wolfie, Nocnitsa sounds interesting See, this is why I ask for recommendations, because I never would have imagined either of those as green, but apparently they are!

Me too! I love lilac and I'd love to find that one of these blends was strongly lilac. I can safely say that I don't get a lilac thing from Veil at all, nor with Villain or Cordelia. Dragon's Eye reviews seem to hint strongly that it might be a good lilac blend. And though people mention the "flowers" of Oujia a lot, I would guess that the tea rose might overpower the lilac.

In the bottle: floral?? On me: This was quite surprising for me, because with Yggdrasil and it's description, I was expecting something rather dry and woody. ANd that is definitely not what is here. By no means is that a bad thing though! This is a green floral in my opinion - it has softly sweet floral like notes, but it's GREEN and lush. It's a wet, ethereal, dewey forest. It's very hard to describe this scent because I can't pick out any notes in it at all. But it's really very pretty! Final note: Very pretty, soft, green and full of life.

Indian sandalwood and cedar, and the dry incense smoke of olibanum, gum mastic, patchouli and myrrh. In the bottle: Strong, pungent bathroom cleaner On me: I have to agree with some others that it's hard to pick out any specific notes in this one, other than to say it's a general warm/spicey thing going on. More earthy than I usually care for (I love sandalwood, but patchouli and cedar are definitely a little too earthy for me). I swear there must be frankincense in this though, because everytime I wear frankincense, which the exception of just ONE oil blend (Anne Bonny) it smells like bathroom cleaner to me (in this regard, this scent reminds me A LOT of Faustus). That generic kind they use in school bathrooms and hotels. It's just so overwhelming and sharp, yet oddly incensey at the same time. Luckily, that aspect of the oil dies down after about 15-20 minutes. Then it becomes more earthy and warm, and though I can't pick out anything in particular, I definitely get a very general warm incense smell from this. Final note: Not my thing, but those who are into the more heavy resinous blends will enjoy this

In the bottle: Sweet and warm like vanilla! On me: I agree with Effluvia! This is Dana O'Shee with more kick! I like Dana O'Shee myself, but found it to be too light for me. Chimera solves that problem. It's got a nice kick of cinnamon but cinnamon isn't the main note on me, and that works out really well in this. The honeysuckle comes off warm and sweet, not as sweet as just plain honey, and I don't find it foody sweet. It's creamy and smooth though, and these two notes mix together to make a sexy, slinky scent. I definitely love this one. Final note: Bottle for me. No doubt about it.

In the bottle: Lemon Verbena, with an earthy twist On me: Like several other people who reviewed this, I was getting some very distinct "green foresty" vibes from this. That's not all I'm getting, but some of what I'm getting doesn't really go with what I imagined it would be from the notes listed. I swear I smell some eucalyptus. The lemon verbena pretty much disappears after about 10 seconds on my skin. Then, the cedar kicks in with a woodsy, gritty smell. No sandalwood for me, and the patchouli offers an earthy touch but - somehow comes off less like patchouli here and more like Oregeno...odd, but true. This smells like opening an old spice cabinet and having a big rush of dried herbs hit you full on. Like stuff you'd cook with (yet not foody, just spice/herbally). Which makes for one unusual scent. Final note: Definitely unique, but I don't personally find this to be very pleasant, due to the whole oregeno vibe. EDIT: Every once in a while, I'll suddenly catch the barest hint of that lemony smell again. Which makes this totally kitchen like for me with the lemon + herbs lol.

In the bottle: A bitter, green smell On me: This is definitely not what I was expecting from this scent. In my mind, succubus sounded sweet, but dark, and a tad spicey. In reality, Succubus a crisp, clean, almost green scent. It reminds me a bit of Aizen-myoo in that it has the same crisp, clean vibe. The clove never shows up for me at any point in this scent, and the neroli is more like orange rind - it's bitter with zest, rather than sweet. The bergamot adds more citrus to this, but in a grounded way. Final note: It's not really for me, but it is a very clean scent.

In the bottle: Dragon's Blood and nothin but! On me: I have learned through all the dragon's blood blends that I've tried that dragon's blend - in anything at all - is the predominant note on me. It doesn't matter what else is in there, it's always going to come off as mostly dragon's blood. Which is okay with me, it's a pleasant smell - it makes me think of carnations in that it is a slightly spicey floral LIKE smell (though not a floral). In this, it is the same as it usually is, but after about 10 minutes, the amber starts to warm this up and add a slight sweet, powdery note. Unfortunately though, shortly after the amber shows up, the whole scent practically disappears on me all together. Final note: Anyone who likes Dragon's Blood or Amber will like this, but if your not a fan of either, you're not going to be a fan of this either!

In the bottle: Rich, heady, and earthy! On me: Ooh Anne Bonny. I knew there had to be a reason Anne Bonny was so popular around here! I heard great things about it, and they were all right! I was a little wary at first, which is why I bought an imp - because honestly - though I don't dislike patchouli at all, it's usually not the kind of thing I enjoy wearing either. So knowing that patchouli was one of the three things listed for this really had me curious as the whether or not I would feel the way that so many other people seem to do about this oil. Good news is - I do! This is definitely heady, earthy, spicey and every bit the courageous pirate lass it represents. This is a brave scent. If you're feeling a little meek or timid - slap on some Anne Bonny and get a kick in the pants and a new attitude. It's downright earthy, but it's definitely not hippy! Sexy, brave, spicey, every bit the pirate lass we love. Final note: If it's any indication about how much I love this - I bought a bottle of Anne Bonney immediately. And despite that I associate the smell with a pirate woman, this would totally rock on a guy too.

In the bottle: Slightly lemony herbs On me: Oh Buck Moon, you are everything I had hoped you would be! *swoon* Seriously, I love Buck Moon, and so does my Mom. I will do my best to describe what I smell, but nothing is going to do this scent justice. As soon as it goes on, it's slightly green with the barest hint of citrus. Already, that musk is mingling with my skin and making the most beautiful, sexy, and yet still natural smell. The night air comes right in afterwards, and - well it's night air. Warm, night air to be exact. It's almost like you're standing in the middle of a glen in the night, on a warm summer night - and that warm, soft breeze is caressing your skin, filling your nose with nearby herbs. This scent is subtle, and intriguing. Definitely gender neutral in my opinion - I think a guy or gal could wear this and smell great! Final note: I have to track down another bottle when I have money and buy one for my Mom. We LOVE Buck Moon.

The intoxicating perfume of exotic incenses wafting on warm desert breezes. Arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia. In the bottle Warm and a tad sweet On me: I have to admit, I was expecting something a little darker and exotic than what Morocco ended up being. But I'm not disappointed either, oh no! Morocco is lovely and soft, like a warm breeze, bringing the scents of the nearby market spices to you. It has the slight sweetness and warmth of sandalwood, but with spices to bring it down to earth. It's pleasant, and very light! Final note: Very light scent! Very nice though, definitely going to have to get a bottle of this at some point.

In bottle: Warm floral On me: Seraphim is a definite floral, no doubt about it. But the part of this that stands out to me, is that it's so fitting for the image of a Seraphim. It's not just rose and lily, it's a soft forgiving rose and lily. The soft remnants of the church incense clinging to the petals of the rose. It's feminine and lovely, and a nice little twist on the floral. Final note: It's too floral for my tastes, but it's still very nice!

In the bottle: root beer!! On me: Oh yeah, this is root beer, straight up. Not an ice cold bottle of root beer - a big mug of sweet, home made, room temperature root beer on an old fashioned cedarwood bar. That vanilla gives this a big sweet kick, and then that cedar brings it right back down to woodsy territory. I don't see this as particularly masculine, but I would love to smell a guy wearing this. This is for a guy who doesn't mind the sweet smell (and if you don't mind, and you CAN bring yourself to wear this, you wouldn't regret it! You'd have all kinds of compliments from the ladies I think). This is unique, off the beaten path kind of smell and I'd love to give this as a gift! Final note: Yummy and interesting!

In bottle: Warm, slighty sweet and spicey On me: I have the perfect way to describe Laudanum. You know when you have a wooden dresser (or say, someone you know) and you open it up and there is a potpourri satchet that is very old and faded in there? That's the smell of Laudanum. It's an old lacey satchet, that's faded and aged into a yellowed ivory color with a dusty pink silk ribbon to tie it. It's the smell of that old satchet in an old fashioned wooden dresser. The smell of the wood and the sweet, spicey potpourri mingling together. Final note: Pleasant, I think it's a scent that a lot of people could enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't particular care for overly woody scents like cedar or myrrh, so it's not for me, but it's definitely not a bad scent at all

In bottle: Strong citron On me: At first, I kinda thought "eh" about this. It was nice enough, but sort of a generic cologne smell. THe citrus smell was much stronger when I first put it on, but eventually settled down into something more subtle and well blended. After wearing this a while though, I like it a lot more. It makes me think of when you take an orange and spike it with cloves, and let it sit in your window. Not the first smell, when it's really clovey - but that smell it gets after sitting in the window for a while, and it's sort of faded - there is a vague spiciness about it, and the citrus smell is deeper and the floral and greenery smells have somewhat clung to the orange from sitting in the window. That's what this smells like to me. It's a little warm, a little sweet, a little citrusy - and very nice. Definitely a blend that I think would work on most men. Final note: If I was going to give a gift of BPAL to a man in my life, and I didn't really know what his tastes were, I would give this I think

In the bottle: Strange, somewhat rotting like smell ? On me: I did not like this at first. At first, it smelled like rotten fruit or something, it was an odd, indescribable smell that made me cringe. After about 15 minutes though, this settles into a very dark floral. Not dark like violet is dark - dark like florals with malicious intent. Somewhat coying and sweet, and tinged with a striking fruitiness. These are exotic, beautiful flowers, dripping with poison. There is a slighty powdery smell underneath this that gives this a real feminine boost to top it off. Final note: I went from hating this to loving it. I might even need a bottle. It smells exotic and somewhat tropical, yet dangerous. What an intriguing blend!

In the bottle: A strange fruity note - like fruit but....not. On me: I have to admit that I'm pretty unfamiliar with any of those notes. I can guess what banana leaf smells like of course, but as for the rest, I'm in the dark! This starts off with a definite tropical fruit smell - it's bright and sort of punchy. After only a few minutes, there is a woodsy, incensy note creeping in - and from what other people have said, I'm guessing this is the narra. It definitely evokes images of a tropical scenery. Oddly enough, if I sniff it closely, I don't like it - it comes off as too bitter and green and the fruit note comes off odd too. However, when I'm just walking around the house and I catch whiffs of it, it's really very nice! It makes me think of the beach, or of drifting down the water rafting rides at the water park, surrounded by sun, water, fruit drinks, and suntan lotion. Final note: I will definitely use my imp, but I'm not sure I'd need a whole bottle of this. I have to say, this is a great smell for capturing Manila!

In the bottle: vaguely sweet floral On me: I wish I was getting all that vanilla sandalwood goodness here, but I'm not. It's mostly just a generic floral smell to me, it's not bad, it's soft and a little bitter to my nose. Later on, that opium kicks in and it makes this smell really incensey. Again, it's kind of a general incensey floral smell, so I can't really be more descriptive than that. After several hours, I get a little bit of sandalwood, and it seems to be predominantly that after wearing this that long. Just a very soft, light sandalwoody smell in the end. Final note: It's not bad, but it also doesn't strike my fancy unfortunately
