In the bottle, boozy chocolate. On, the same as above but it quickly moves into the background and a light, tart berry sweetness starts to emerge. Drydown is lovely and complex. I get a combination of an incensy sweet head shop with holiday candles in the background. Never too sweet. The pomegranate and fig make a gorgeous entrance about an hour after application and finally, creamy honey and vanilla come through. Very much a skin scent on me. Beautifully, and perfectly, blended. Hubby likes it really well, too(on me). So He's three for three on the CN series so far. I never got any lemon or bergamot, but He did. Will probably order another bottle of this

In the bottle, bright, tangy honey. On, same thing but the gardenia quickly pops out(as usual, *sigh*), and takes over. After about 10 minutes, starts to go powdery/generic perfume on me~Hawaiian White Ginger(*sneezesneeze*), *not* a favorite, never has been. Stays powdery, unfortunately. That "old lady" powdery so many refer to. It does have nice throw and lasts most of the day, though. This, I believe, is the first honey blend that didn't work on me, but w/the gardenia and Hawaiian White Ginger, it's no surprise Guess it's just as well that this bottle is going to a friend.

Eh??...This dragon's blood smells like jasmine. In the imp, on skin wet to drydown, JASMINE. Hubby walked into the room and said, "You're wearing jasmine today". Methinks, nothing is wrong with this imp, but something ain't right Guess I'll have to try another.

Sent to me from a lovely forumite In the imp, Tootsie Rolls! Once applied, I get a lovely cedar-like scent w/a hint of choclate & very light sandalwood(a bit powdery but not bad). No sign of the myrrh, though. Very very nice, but my chemistry doesn't want to hang onto this one very long. Maybe 30 minutes or so and it's all gone. Lovely while it lasts, though

Forces a change of fortune, helps overcome poverty and want, and helps attract prosperity, prestige and earthly bounty. In the imp, thick cherry syrup. On skin, within a few seconds the sweetness lightens & a bit of something spicy & incensy sweet emerges. Another few minutes and the cherry strengthens a bit and shares the stage beautifully with the the incense/incense-like yumminess. An hour or so later I also get something that reminds me a bit of Jack Like a light, vanilla'ish, buttery pumpkin that blends perfectly with the goodness described above. Two hours later, softens but retains all the above. Nice throw. Similar to Blood Kiss and trying hard to replace BK in my line up of favorites I'm wearing it with it's intended purpose in mind. Let's hope!! Could definitely use the help! Overall, definitely something I could wear daily but I wanted this to use as intended. The fact that it smells so good is just a bonus.

Similar to Skuld and Scherezade but lighter. Has the same medicinal scent to it, when first applied, that Scherezade does on me. Saffron, perhaps?? Gorgeous, soft honey among all those wonderful spices!! Don't get much, if any, almond. Is there amber in this, too?? I get a bit of something familiar after an hour or so...O. But only fleetingly here and there. A lovely blend this!! Still, I think I'll stick with Skuld

Dragon's blood is the first thing that comes through in this~YUMMERS!! After about five minutes, juniper...not favorite of mine. Fortunately, the other notes are keeping it at bay Warm, slightly musky with just the right touch of sweetness. I think this would be gorgeous on Hubby, *if* it doesn't give him a headache...Like it's trying to do to me Lovely blend, but that headache thing... Juniper, baaad.

In imp, dry cinnamon. Wet/first applied~cinnamon with hints of lovely amber & sandalwood. Then, sadly, within minutes, here comes that oh so horrid black patchouli, as I knew it would But hey, I've got an imp so gave it a whirl. eta: 10/20/05...Chemistry is a funny thing....Tried this again and this time around, GORGEOUS!! Like a darker, richer Snake Oil with a touch of earthiness. Glad I got to try this again

In the imp, all cinnamon. First applied, a "far away" cinnamon(if that makes any sense), behind a light blanket of something medicinal Within seconds the cinnamon comes through with a bang~Red Hots candies, and there's a tingle that almost, but not quite, burns the skin. After another few minutes a lovely, soft & creamy dragon's blood starts to emerge underneath. Then, finally, I get a bit of a very light, but bitter, herbal note(vetivert??). Something I can do without. Overall, nice...if only that herbal bitterness stayed away... ETA: Forgot to mention, after about an hour or so, I got...salt. The smell of salt. Eh??

In the bottle, a heavy, strawberry bubble yum, more or less. On skin, immediately goes to a gorgeous field of strawberries and/or the smell of fresh strawberries when you walk by them in the grocery store, including the green~YUMMY!! After about 20 minutes +, a lovely creaminess emerges...Very much like a thick, rich & creamy, strawberry milk shake. It's sweet, but deliciously so!!

In the imp, first time I tried this, I got gardenia. Not good. On skin, no more gardenia, no more *anything*, gone. Completely. Okay.... Second time I tried this was MCH better This time, from the imp, Snake Oil, more or less. On skin, again, goes to nothing at all then within seconds, WOW!! Gorgeous!! The amber & musk are beautiful!! Very rich and voluptuous at this point. Very O-like but not quite as sweet. Has the same after sex skin muskiness about it, YUMMY!! I get very little, if any, rose. In fact, what I pick up with the amber and musk is vanilla. Whatever, it's LOVELY!! Nice throw, too. Wore it overnight and by next morning, did go just a tad soapy on me, but not bad. This one has definite big bottle in the not too distant future possibilities.

Wanted to try this one for a quite a while. Thank you to my pal gothiccastle, who sent me the smidge she had left In the imp/first applied~Lightly sweet, juicy berries with a bit of herbal goodness peeking through. YUM!! There's also a hint of sage and tea. As it dries, the musk comes through but doesn't overpower. Reminds me a *bit* of Bordello but not as sweet. Bewitched is more like Bordello's darker sister. My kinda gal Yep, gonna need more of this.

First, juicy tangerine. As it dries, I get a fresh aquatic with light, and *very slightly sweet herbal. Definitely calming. After a few minutes, I also get a hint of something like a spicy, light musk. Overall, very nice! Works as intended, too!

LOVE this!! In the imp, ever so light and slightly sweet coconut with a rich, semi-sweet tobacco. Just applied I get a lovely, buttery rum in addition to the above. It's never too sweet, just right and SO VERY YUMMY!! Not really foody on me. Stays pretty true to imp upon drydown and wears for hours. Only thing about it that changes as the hours go by is that it becomes even more beautiful. Becomes part of my skin almost. Reminds me a bit of Carnal in that way. Not the same smell/s, more the feel of it. A rich, voluptuous blend. Definitely big bottle worthy~Elegba =

DLI (551) In the bottle/first applied~First thought, something sharp and herbal, maybe even a bit metallic...But no, it's the scent of freshly cut pineapple, including the sharp zing of the skin. Just a touch of sweetness, very nice! As it dries, a soft, warm, fresh coconut starts to emerge and then a bit of very subtle...I want to say incense, rounds it out and makes this a beautiful, deep, rich blend. I'm not usually too keen on something this fruity, but this is.... Gorgeous!!! Not *too* sweet and...there's the tiniest hint of toasty vanilla This is the second CT2 I've received that has pineapple in it. The first one(CCLVII) was for a friend.

A bit of not too sweet fruit and floral with a hint of herbs. There's something that seems to be a common floral note in all the Voodoo blends that I can't place. High John makes me think of bright and warm golden sunshine and it stays true through drydown. Haven't really put it to the test but hopefully, it'll work as intended
-
A very pretty, light feminine blend. Strong on the plumeria at first(which I prefer in candles or room scents), and then the pear takes over. Very fresh and bright feeling, but pears...meh, not on my list of favorite fruits or scents. Nice enough but not for me.
-
In the imp/first applied~Spicy, herbal and musk. Very quickly turns to generic men's cologne and something that comes through as artificial pine is giving me a headache. It settles down a bit but it's still not working. Not at all. Hubby wasn't exactly thrilled with it, either. Oh well.
-
Bright, slightly sharp at first then settles down to slightly aquatic with a touch of herbs. It's nice enough...Dark Seraphim posted that it's like a high quality aftershave. To me, it's the shaving cream Hubby uses. Like his shaving cream, it smells nice but something about it irritates my throat...gets itchy. And no, I didn't drink any So yes, very nice but obviously, not for me.
-
Another lovely blend!! Warm, golden red is what comes to mind...Beautiful orchid is at center stage with the other notes blending in perfect harmony. Slightly green with the perfect touch of floral. Feminine and slightly earthy, but not "girly", really. Almost a designer type fragrance, but SO much better Doesn't seem to have much throw but close to skin, yum! Don't know if I'll get a bottle of this, although it's absolutely gorgeous!!

I'm a sucker for Beth's honey notes/blends In the imp/just applied, I get something similar to Snake Oil and Scherezade...A good thing, and no surprise. The honey is a bit light but definitely there, and definitely lovely! Drydown, stays pretty true to in the imp. I get a bit of a medicinal thing going on for about five minutes(labdanum?), but fortunately, it's light and doesn't stick around long. Creamy, slightly sweet honey and voluptuous musks. Nice throw and lasts all day/overnight. Glad I've got a bottle on the way!! Hubby tends to be really sensitive to(and picky about), most perfumes, including BPAL. With Skuld, "You smell really good! What are you wearing?"

This is lovely! In the imp, sweet, yummy dragon's blood. Same when first applied, with the added goodness of what I want to say is a light, toasty vanilla. I also get a touch of cinnamon. Not so much the smell of cinnamon, but more the tingle on my skin, although there's definitely a hint of it. Then gardenia? Which amazingly enough, isn't overpowering everything else. I'd prefer no gardenia, but still, gorgeous blend! Being a purpose oil, the notes/scents aren't the most important thing, imo. As long as it's not icky and headache/sneeze inducing, I'm good. This one doesn't do either of those things Does it work as intended? Well...Hubby seemed to "warm" right up to it

I could pretty much copy/paste ChupaChup's review of this one. Although I do love jasmine, as always, no matter what other notes might be in a blend, jasmine overpowers all. After about an hour, the jasmine lightened up a bit and the bourbon vanilla tried to peek through. Unfortunately, I only got about a split second's worth of it and then the jasmine said, "oh hell no!" and took over again. Might give it a second try in a few days, but I doubt it'll change

CCLVII Got this one for a friend. Pineapple! Like pineapple upside down cake. A touch of slightly sweet, tropical floral & something I can't place. Cedar comes to mind but that's not it. The pineapple softens *whew* and for a good while, this is quite lovely. Eventually went soapy on me Tried it again, applied a bit more and was much nicer! Not really soapy this time and had a touch of something incensy. Previously reviewed by mobilejessie.

This is lovely!! Took a couple of times trying it before I decided...I think I love it! I don't get much strawberry unless the slight tartness is strwberry. Not sugary sweet but just right! The honey is gorgeous!! I LOVE Beth's honey notes!! It eventually dries down to a subtle, light, creamy honey with a hint of sweet...incense, is all I can think of. The honey and incense-like(whatever it may be in this) notes turn this into a rich, round voluptuousness that keeps it from being too light and floral on me. Just might have to hunt down a bottle of this one. This is also the first lunacy I've tried. Now I really* can't wait for Strawberry and Honey Moons to arrive!!
