First I only sniffed from the imp. Light, soapy, drugstore men's cologne...There was a bit that stayed on my fingers, same soapy smell hours later. Not exactly thrilled. Later I tested it on my wrist. Still a bit of that annoying soap smell but leather is definitely there. After 20 minutes or so, there's something fleeting that makes me think of Hubby. His skin after he's been working with wood...But that loveliness comes and goes. If it stayed, I'd absolutely LOVE this one. It doesn't. More than anything, it's just soapy. Might try it again in a few days. Doubt I'll get Hubby to try it, it made him sneeze, heh.

Thought I had reviewed this, guess not. Wasn't anything like the description. More of an upper end designer perfume, with a touch of bright, crispness...Not ozone/rain at all on me. Nice, but not for me.

First time I tried this it was all wet dirt. Gave me a headache and made me sneeze. Very disappointed. Second time, same thing w/a hint of pomegranate and not much else. Was ready to give up on it but decided to give it another chance... For the first minute or so, rich, saturated earth with pomegranate and rose shining through. A very light berry note is also present with an *impression* of vanilla being there rather than actually smelling it. Just a hint of the myrrh and amber, and finally, a touch of incense. It's quite lovely but fades fast Hoping it's like so many other blends that seem to fade then grow a little stronger as the hours tick away. Throw is decent, amazingly enough...close to skin, barely detectable, at arm's length, so far, lovely. Just hope the vanilla comes through a bit more. Will come back later to add the final verdict

This reminded me of a doctor's office. Specifically, the family doctor I had as a kid. Not medicinal, but like the jar of suckers he had in his office Nice throw. More of a bright, tart candy and floral than dark and gloomy. Very nice but not for me.

The whip-wielding Goddess of Divine Retribution, Justice and Vengeance, and is the force that balances the scales of Tyche's fortune. She is also called Adrasteia, 'she whom none can escape', and Erinys, 'implacable'. Nemesis is the executrix of Olympian justice, and her primary duty is to punish hubris and mankind's offenses against the natural order with inflexible, remorseless and raging fury. Her symbols are a sword and scourge, a measuring rod and scales. Cypress, ginger, fig, dried rose, red patchouli, tonka bean and cyclamen. In the imp/first applied~I get a bright, citrus. After a few minutes, cypress and cedar with a hint of fresh pine needles. After 15-20 minutes the fig starts to shine through, then a touch of gorgeous, dry rose makes its appearance. Lovely!! Just might have to get a bottle of this one.

In the imp, first applied~Marigolds! Like my grandmother's garden Bright, herbal scent w/a hint of olive. Sweetened a little after about an hour but overall scent is so light I can barely detect it. Lovely but too light for me.

Forum purchase, unsniffed. Had to have/try this 'cause hey, it's Hubby's name In the bottle and for the first few seconds after application, light, toasted butterscotch, YUM!! Quickly turns to a nice, warm, spicy pumpkin...but not really foody. No nutmeg, clove or peach...Well, maybe a *hint* of peach. After about an hour to hours later, a touch of slightly sweet incense. Definitely smells and feels like autumn, but something I'll wear year round. LOVE this one!! ETA: Just put some on and this time, in the bottle, I get warm(as in temperature), lightly buttered, caramel/kettle corn to add to all the above. Again, LOVELOVELOVE this!! Especially since amazingly enough, Beth's foody blends are never really foody w/my chemistry. Yummy, not foody, lol.

CCCXXVI(326) Having a hard time picking the notes out in this one but here it goes... In the bottle~Light, not *too* sweet berry with a touch of what seems to be light musk, YUM!! Quickly morphs to all musk and I feel a headache coming on. Not good. After another few minutes, I'm getting something similar to The Living Flame. Also want to say strawberry, then maybe a touch of vanilla...but not quite, either of them. Eventually ends up smelling like a lighter version of The Living Flame...Nice but, not quite what I was hoping for. If it stayed true to what it's like in the bottle, perfect! But it doesn't. Then there's that headache... eta: Decided to try this one more time... Started out really irritated my sinuses. Picked up what was similar to wet, moldy dirt. After about 20 minutes, went through that, TLF again, but quickly thereafter, while still similar to the florals in The Living Flame, picked up a bit more of what sure smells like vanilla Still, after another hour or so, trying really hard to morph into generic, designer perfume. Not much, if any, vanilla, although there's definitely a hint of berries. Nice but just refuses to work w/my chemistry, unfortunately. This one needs to go to a good home where it'll be well loved

First it's sharp and crisp. Another one that reminds me of designer/dept. store type perfumes...I get more of a bright, summer day than I do mournful, piognant and foreboding, though. It mellows after a few minutes to a slightly darker, rounder scent. Still has that "bright" feel to it, however. Then it goes medicinal, then gone. Also gave me a headache

I've received confirmation for all but my second to last order, placed on May 25. Don't think it's a problem, though. Based on previous posts, seems to happen now and again.

An extra from a lovely and most generous forumite and again, THANK YOU!! Have to say, DUH, only realized a short time before I tried it that it's unreleased. So...on with the review, yay!! In the imp/first few seconds on skin...SWEET, syrupy pineapple. Or rather, the impression of pineapple...At this point, way too sweet and fruity for my taste. Very quickly, as it warms on skin, goes to a slightly tangy, freshly opened can of pineapple with a bit of honeyed spice and the fruity sweetness has faded considerably. There's a bit of a *very* light cinnamon tingle on the skin and a touch of light, spicy musk with a vanilla-like creaminess. Nice throw, too. Not overwhelming but definitely makes it presence felt. Overall~musky spice with a touch of sweet, honeyed incense...a skin scent, and absolutely gorgeous!!! Just might have to grab a bottle of this one when it's available.

This one is a bit hard to describe... In the imp and for the first couple of minutes, sharp lavender...Quickly goes to spicy herbal w/a hint of sweetness...Myrrh & Frankincense maybe? Also picking up a creamy, woodsy cedar, very yummy! After about 15+ minutes I can feel a minty tingle...but no...its cinnamon. A very light, warm cinnamon. As more time goes by, the cinnamon is still there but it's really soft. Overall this is a soft, warm & creamy incense w/a touch of sweetness scent. At least, on me it is. I think this would make for a perfect ritual oil, as well. Lovely.

When I tried this the first time, from a recently acquired imp, it was really medicinal(saffron??). Thought, uh oh, 'cause I snagged a 5ml before the imp arrived. After a few hours the medicinal smell faded and it morphed into...Snake Oil. A bit lighter, maybe, but Snake Oil, definitely. Lasts for hours. Second try(next day), from imp: Applied a little more this time, much better, not as medicinal, yay! Still there, but tolerable. Very Snake Oil like but not quite...Very nice. Again, lasts a long time and has a decent amount of throw. Liking this more and more. Bottle arrived today and I immediately applied. I LOVE this!! From beginning to HOURS later, its a smooth, warm & creamy incense with a touch of sweetness. A definite touch of the exotic Middle East. Very sexual and erotic. Amazing throw but not at all overpowering. Its absolutely beautiful. Also must mention, a few hours after the second time I tried it, on a whim, layered it with just a dab of O. To DIE for So, alone and/or layered, GORGEOUS.

I'll preface this by saying I adore clove. Dragon's blood-love it, myrrh-yum. In imp/first applied, ew ew ew CLOVE. Nostril burning, headache inducing CLOVE, for the first ten minutes or so. wtf?? A bit on the masculine side, in fact, goes generic, cheap men's cologne for a good while. blah. After....30+ minutes, clove mellows a little and the cherry and dragon's blood make their appearance. Unfortunately, not enough to tame the clove and no sign of myrrh With my nose to my wrist, not bad at all really. But at arm's length, that cheap cologne thing is prevalent. So much for this being a good one for those w/vampiric tendencies. Didn't get *any* feeling/impression/etc. of blood in any way, shape or form. But I'll give this another try later.

This is NICE! In imp/first applied~Fresh cut, but at the same time old, cedar. Has a "dusty" feel to it. A warm, old west kind of dusty. A touch herbal, a very subtle spiciness with a wonderful, mild sweet vanilla. Soft and creamy. Soft undertone of sweet pine or maybe fir?? After a few hours got a bit of....funnel cake(??) to go with the above. *Very* slight, but yep, funnel cake. Can't wait to smell this on Hubby Big bottle for sure on this one!
-
In the imp/first applied~Fresh, tart lemon w/a hint of sweetness, *almost* like lemonheads candy, but not quite. As it dries I get hint of dry, sweet spice(if that makes any sense), and eventually mellows to add a subtle hint of creaminess to the lemon. Very nice, on my skin, not dark at all. But alas, gave me a headache.
-
In imp, very light. Hard to smell anything at all. First applied/wet~Still very light. Sweet, spicy ginger & bright, very subtle lemon. After about 10 minutes, gone. So I applied a bit more...better! Still light but now w/a sweet, subtle creaminess over the slightly citrusy/ginger, so the milk and honey has arrived, yay! After about 30 minutes it strengthens a bit but still on the light side. Very white tea & ginger'ish. Also reminds me a bit of Origins Ginger Essence, w/o the creaminess of Sudha Segara. Very nice, but on me, very light and fades fast.
-
In the vial and when first applied, reminds me a lot of Snake Oil. Then within minutes it turns into this weird nursery, baby not plants/flowers, thing. That generic, baby powder, diaper(clean), etc. smell? A baby's room. Another forumite stated the same thing. Think I'll pass on this one. Baby smells Too bad, it held such promise. Oh well.
-
Well this is one I just HAD to try(see avatar, lol!). Opening the imp, I get a light, rich golden, spicy vanilla. Somewhat Snake Oil'ish w/ a touch of herbs/green florals, if that makes any sense... Myrrh, honey...with a touch of smoky incense, like a subtle, Nag Champa sweetness almost. A bit light at first but scent "blossoms" as it dries. After 30 minutes or so it seemed to fade to almost nothing then again, after another few minutes, strengthens. Finally settles into a beautiful light & creamy lemony(very light on this!), spicy vanilla. Will definitely be getting a bottle in the very near future. My Pharaoh Hounds also give this a paws up and say its most assuredly worthy of their name eta: apparently in a COMA, when I posted my review, I totally forgot to include...HONEY! There's an underlying, golden, lightly sweet, wild honey overall. Which of course, just adds to the general loveliness of this blend.

Another beauty! Opening the imp~strong smell of saturated, musty earth. On skin, very light at first, hard to get a sniff. Very light rose & moss. So, I put a little more on After about 20 minutes it blossoms into a beautiful, deep rose in, again, wet, musty earth. Nice throw and stayed with me all day. Eventually turned into dead roses in a box(lovely!)...then later, water, from a clear running stream, to finally...a light musky...vanilla?? and musty rose. The first 20 minutes or so, it reminded me a bit of my newest love, House of Night. A not quite grown up HoN. Picture Lucy from Coppola's, Bram Stoker's Dracula. Dead, in her wedding gown. This is her perfume. Beautiful! At the final stage, definitely gender neutral. On a man, I imagine one who's elegant, graceful...dead...but so irresistible.

A sorrowful graveyard bouquet of somber blooms, funereal boughs, dismal green and laden with grief. Breath taking... This is...most exquisite. Dream-like. Beautiful...sublime. Sweet death and decay. First impression, sharp! Then... dry, dead flowers. A dying, weeping rose. Green, wet, sticky humidity. Musty, but beautifully so. This is my hearse. This is a mausoleum of despair. I want to say Morticia's greenhouse, but its SO much more than that. Isolate the miniature bride beckoning you to come back from the rest of Disney's Haunted Mansion...A lone, haunting beauty, searching in death for her beloved. Yes, I'm trying desperately here to give this its most deserved and proper due. And, I suspect, failing miserably. If I may...let me quote olympia301, who said it better than I could ever hope to~ "...and if you are hunting it with your mind while smelling it, it will elude you there as well. You have to let it come to you, like a wild animal, if you chase it you will never catch it. ...this one is a triumph and should be more famous among us as something special and a true masterpiece of the perfumer's art." And then...it morphs to add a lush, subtle creaminess. Beth, truly, I am in complete and utter awe. This is has moved me close to tears with its beauty.

Lovely gift imp from an even lovelier forumite In the imp, immediately familiar but couldn't place what it was. More on that later, lol. No single smell jumps out at me as dry down begins. More of an overall *feel* and light smells of amusement parks/carnivals...including the rides! After about...15-20 minutes, a subtle, slightly burnt sugar starts to appear. Finally, after an hour or so, there's the funnel cake! Very subtle, not really foody to me. Really nice, though! Nice throw. Stronger when my arm isn't up my nose Also get a light, creamy vanilla. I do like this!! Not sure I'll get a bottle(watch me eat my words, haha), but I'll definitely use the imp and will treasure it always So, hours later, I opened up the imp again and...coconut! That's it! Thanks again doll!!

Honeysuckle and maybe Lily of the Valley...A bit on the tart side, thinking fresh ginger? Has a *very* light hint of spice to it. Very "fresh out of the shower" scent but not really soapy, imo. Nice throw. After about 4 hours I pick up a touch of honey. Like SN honey. Lovely blend! Will have to see how it works On/to me, similar to Chuparosa and Chiroptera.

This is lovely!! In the bottle(1st time), boozy & slightly spicy w/an undertone of generic, designer perfume(if that makes any sense). It quickly morphs to a slightly sweet creaminess & I pick up what seems to be honeysuckle, rose, and a hint of vanilla, YUM! Also a bit of sharp musk &...gardenia?? Goes a bit powdery for a bit but that stage doesn't last too long nor is it bad at all, other than threatening to bring on a bout of sneezing, lol. It seems to want to go generic perfume on me but doesn't quite make it Second time wearing~Put a bit more on and although still boozy at first, I'm definitely picking up some kind of sweet, spicy berry along with what I mentioned above. Nice throw and stays on for hours. Softens a bit as time goes by but once it dries down to creamy, spicy, sweet & subtle floral/berry & vanilla goodness, stays that way. Took me a bit to decide to get this but glad I did! I'll probably look to grab another bottle in the near future if I can. Beautifully done!

A bat-friendly bouquet! Evening primrose, night-scented stock, moonflower, night phlox, lemon balm, lavender, honeysuckle, sweet sage, salvia and thyme. I was so sorry that I missed this when it was available, the Bat Conservation thing... On top of that, if its got anything to do w/bats, more often than not, I'm all over it 5ml purchase off LJ. Let me preface this by saying, reviews could all say that this smells like total crap(bat guano?) and I'd still want it. In the bottle and upon application, lavender quickly followed by tart lemon. Quickly sweetens to a spicy honeysuckle, which is ever so nice! Not familiar with some of the other notes but I get glimpses of more subtle sweetness and spice that I don't recognize, love it!! Nice throw & long-wearing too. It does try to make me sneeze, but not quite. Reminds me of Chuparosa, w/added spice. Overall, spicy, floral sweetness w/green undertones. The smell of the desert at night accompanied by honeysuckle. Kinda creamy, too. I might not wear this often, as I lean more towards darker, richer scents, but definitely a keeper and I'll more than likely snag another bottle when the opportunity arises...Just cause, I love bats & now, I love Chiroptera, too!
