I've tried this twice, both with different results. Wet: Ohhhh....everything I hoped. Cinnamon, clove, and a sharp note that I'm hoping is pepper. The first time on my skin: Hmm, cinnamon, clove, and what is this sweetness? Sadly, it just got sweeter and sweeter on me. I was so hoping for something spicy and strong. After realizing that my period hormones might have gotten the better of the oil, I tried it again. Second time: Cinnamon, and more just sweetness. Uhoh. But then it turns and the sweet takes a back seat to the pepper. I was still hoping for something hotter and spicier. It ends up feeling like someone sugar-coated Wrath. I think my skin eats the cinnamon. It fades so quickly on me.

I tried this on me. It smelled very much like frankincense almost all the way through. Very strong, but with a hint of what I'm guessing is the violets poking through. It was a happy scent for me, but due to the strength and personal reasons a very masculine one. I don't think I smell the cinnamon, although I am starting to suspect that my skin eats up the cinnamon that BPAL uses. Now, I tried it on the boy and I want to jump him everytime he wears it. It's so strong and wonderful.

In the bottle I don't know what this smells like. It smells like none of the other imps I got. There's something sharp about it. Wet Oh yum. Cherry and almond. I was informed by a very good source that it smells very much like Burt's Bees Almond Lotion when it is being made. So, hot almond lotion. Five minutes after application Powdery old lady. It just turns so rapidly and badly on my skin. Alas.

In the bottle Strawberry syrup. Very strawberry and sweet, thick and preserved. Wet Hmm. Strawberry still. Slightly sweet. I get none of the creaminess that others did. Drydown Suddenly, this gets very, very sweet on me. And there's a weird tinge of something going on in the background. Slightly plastic-like. As it dries further, I get a huge burst of floral, which seems odd. All the strawberry disappears, replaced by huge bunches of flowers. Flowers lightly dusted with sugar. Overall, it isn't something that really disagreed with me, it just was a whole lot of elements that aren't my thing.

When I first put this on, I immediately thought of a sweet-smelling headshop. It was the smokey slightly incensey smell I remember (it turns out very vividly). A very very sweet headshop. As it drys, it just stays smokey and sweet. But adds powder. Now I smell like someone just powdered a baby in a headshop near the incense section. In what are in the final stages (I hope, at least)., I smell like a sweet old lady. I don't think this one is really going to be quite my thing.
