    The Devil

Hmmm, not bad. Drawing me in. Do I smell Mr. Bubble? Enticing! Come closer you say? Oh shit, its Mr. Bubble with the worst halitosis. He opens his mouth full of brown, broken shards of teeth, ready to bite my head off, and the last thing I'm going to smell before I die is the worst putrid evil breath I've ever smelled. I don't wanna deal with the devil anymore. I'm a lightweight. But what a fantastic representation of the Devil.

    Midway

A bombardment of edible carnival indulgences. Funnel cake, caramel apple, cotton candy, salt water taffy and sugar tart. I agree that Midway takes care of that sweet tooth! I slathered myself in this today, and it is delicious. I get sweet cotton candy and vanilla and butter. My skin has never smelt more edible, but in a more sweet-second-skin sense rather than a "where's that plate of cookies I keep smelling?" way. This has been consistent from the wet stage to drydown. I am so enamoured with Midway. I can't decide if I will slather or conserve it, so I guess I better get another bottle (I need to add that my 2 y.o. daughter loves Midway too. She saw me opening the box and wanted to sniff, and immediately smiled and said "mmm...smells good" )

When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

Maybe its my skin chemistry, but i just tested a bit of Midnight on my wrist, and it reminded me quite a bit of the Tarot: Strength. At least the floral part, but Midnight had that aquatic note to it. Can't confirm, since Strength doesn't list it's notes, but I'm curious if anyone else thinks so. (too bad neither one loved me!)

    Thirteen (13)

The drydown of 13 is quite indulgent. It is the embodiment of sitting on a comfy couch with the pint of Haagen Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry ice cream. The cool white chocolate creaminess, ribbons of raspberry (the currant? most likely). .. No kidding, on me it smells exactly the way that tastes. The wet phase is not quite so pleasant on my skin. Definately a nacho cheese smell upon my first impression, but that does not last long, thank god. Overall, once dry, 13 is another masterpiece from the lab. Not to mention a great concept as well. Update: Thirteen is amazing. Now that I am used to the white chocolate note, I don't get any of the nacho that I did at first. The more I wear this, the more addicted I become. There's something in the dry stage that I can't get enough of: its dry, its tart, its floral, bot not overly so. This is definately in my top three, and I'll get more the next time it appears.

    Two, Five & Seven

A huge bouquet of squished rose petals: Bulgarian rose, Somalian rose, Turkish rose, Damascus rose, red and white rose, tea rose, wine rose, shrub roses, rose, rose, rose… …and just an itty bitty bit of green grass. Two, Five, and Seven was the first BPAL I bought a bottle of, unsniffed. And at first I thought I made a mistake. Sugared Roses? Grass? I didn't get any of these. What I got, in the bottle and wet on skin, was the same scent of a hair dye I used before. Perfumy, but something else there that wasn't so pleasant. It was dry, not sweet, and definately had a fermented odor (beer, someone said?) in the background. I was afraid it was destined to be my first swap. BUT! I tried it again, and boy am I glad I didnt pack it up and send it away. I don't know what changed, but now its glorious. Goes on a little like a rose-flavored wine cooler, but brightens and sweetens into a "better than your own skin" skin scent. Skin, light roses, sugar (from the grass?), and its a teeny bit creamy. Reminds me of my favorite part of Alice amplified. Perfect for an everyday scent. Definately worth getting to know

    Skuld

Cherries? That's what I'm smelling. Cherry. Sticky cherry lollipops. This is a very juicy, RED scent. Something bubbly in the background (reminds me of cola but this does not smell like a cherry coke if that makes any sense). Now that I've read the Lab's description, I don't detect any of the notes specified, but the sweetness has mellowed and this is a bright, happy, scent. . As it dries down even more, it becomes irrisistable. The musk is making its way to the foreground and keeps this scent from being totally fruity. I can't stop smelling my wrists! I'm reminded of dizzy, intoxicating new love and endless open-mouthed kisses.... This is delightful.

    Wicked

I put this on in the car on the way back from the grocery store, straight out of the bubble wrap and packing. It truly must have been calling my name. First application, before reading Lab's description: Hmmm, this is a strong floral, maybe an oriental? I seemed to think I was getting the intense scent of paperwhites over incense. Reminded me of white easter flowers with thick waxy petals. As it dried, the floral scent receded and the other incensy notes joined in equal intensity. This is an evening scent for me, it is so sexy and extremely womanly. Now that I've read the lab's description, I know the Narcisus scent I imagined is the jasmine, and the resin must be the myrrh. Absolutely, no question about it, love at first sniff.

    Chimera

Upon first sniff out of the imp, this smelled exactly like bubble gum to me. Sweet and pink, like the kind that used to come in baseball card packs. After putting it on my skin, the bubble gum was still there but there was suddenly *cinnamon*. As it dried, it morphed from cinnamon Trident gum to a rich, honeyed cinnamon vanilla scent. This is sweet, balmy, sexy. On my skin, this smells exactly like O, but with the yummy layer of warm cinnamon. MMMM...
