In imp, and on, wet: I don't get any of the listed notes. On me, it's one-note almonds, and kind of yucky. But, oh, that drydown - spicy, sweet, smoky - magnificent.

Pennyroyal? Musk? Lavender-citron? Nope, this is straight-up York Peppermint Patties. Chocolate & mint - yummy.

First on, it's a fruity, fizzy drink that's not too sweet, as I had feared. I'm doubly surprised by how much I like it because raspberry is my least favorite fruit. And then it dried down to fresh, breezy . . . play-doh.

Bottom line, it's way too sweet on me - the dragon's blood amps to the high heavens; but I am so in awe of how Beth comes up with a true, nailed-it salty aquatic. It's definitely there as an undercurrent, it doesn't make me sick to my stomach, as some aquatics do, and, if it were just a bit stronger and the dragon's blood just a bit weaker, this would be top 10 material.

First on, wet: grapefruit with just a hint of tea - fresh grapefruit, yum! Near drydown: overwhelming bathroom cleaner with just a hint of grapefruit - WTF is causing this? Far drydown: faint sweet grapefruit. The middle part rules out more for me.

Deep mahogany and rich, velvety woods lacquered with sweet, black-red cherries and currant. First on, it's all cherries, then the woods start to peek out, and it's effin' beautiful - for about 15 minutes, until it fades to something I can barely smell, even with my nose buried in my arm. Heavy sighs.

Fake pineapple candy with a hint of rum. Seems my skin loves gin much more than rum - the opposite of my reaction to drinking the two. Even when BPAL scents don't work on me, I learn something interesting.

When I think of what Bora Bora must be like, I think of this scent - boozy, clean, fresh, slightly sweet and spicy - in other words, heaven.

First on, it's a bright, peppy, happy scent - then the sharp grasses take over. The smell is not just sharp, but on the verge of going rancid. This long middle dry-down is most unpleasant. Could this be the acai berries? It fades to a very faint, slightly sweet poppy scent. I don't get any honey. Not bottle-worthy.

It's certainly unique. I can't stop burying my nose in my arm, because it's constantly morphing. First on, it was lemon, a good kind of motor oil, and something comforting yet metallic. The drydown is milky lemon. Very nice for this hot Houston summer.

Hello, cassia, my new-found friend - where have you been all my life? I'm in love with this scent - I get a little of the red musk, but the main scent has to be cassia - it loves my skin and I love it! Also, very good lasting power.

I've never had a BPAL that soaked into my skin so quickly. It lasts 5 minutes at most on my skin, although those 5 minutes are wonderful. The soft musk and amber, with just a hint of rose is gorgeous. Today I poured the rest of the imp on my skin (at least 1/3 of an imp). Nope, 5 minutes only.

Wow, I'm in love with Roadhouse! That's most unexpected, given the notes listed and the connotation. First on, it's almost-but-not-quite-soapy. It smells very clean, with a hint of sweetness. It dries down to a soft, slightly-sweet, slightly-spicy deliciousness. You know, this may just be in my top 10.

Faint citrus and gin - nice. After 30 minutes, this had completely disappeared from my skin. Poof! All gone.

This was quite intriguing in the frimp - salty, aquatic (not in a nauseating way), and a hint of something I can't figure out. On my skin, my stupid skin chemistry turned this into a boring, one-note aquatic. Bummer.

In the imp, and on drydown: rancid fruit. Not for me.

Where's my smoke? Where's my leather? Nowhere, that's where. I only get super-sweet dragon's blood. What a disappointment.

Sweet, powdery, pleasant, faint. Eh.

Harsh, sweet chemicals with not a trace of my beloved musk. Cross off another one.

Slight whiff of pomegranate, no booze - it doesn't excite me at all; but DH loves it - go figure.

Possible top 10. It DOES smell misty - Beth's genius rears its head again. On me, it's misty, soft, slightly sweet, and complex. Cons: I'll have to slather as it's faint, and no moonshine!

Stale, musty candy. My skin chemistry killed another one.

In imp,and on, wet: yummy sweet, fresh cherries. Drydown: Play-Doh. Crap.

Smoky vetiver - it's scary, all right. It never morphed - no lavender, no violet. Not my thing.

Fizzy maple syrup - this is not my thing, but I am amazed that Beth can evoke fizz - there must be literal alchemy going on in the lab. It dries down to Play-Doh, but I'm using up the imp because of the amazing fizz.
