Shoot...my husband may never get to try this. It has some of my favorite elements; lime, lavender, citrus and lilac! It smells divine and clean on and dries to a fresh citrus. I bet my honey would be just scrumptious with this on though, so I had better relent! It really is gorgeous

Such a pretty floral! I love the spice of the Dragon's Blood, and the next thing to reach my nose is the Lily of the Valley. I forgot how springlike that smelled. A little lilac pops in to make an appearance, and it makes for a fresh and uplifting experience. This is another "Wow, I wouldn't have ordered this, but I'm glad I got it" scents. A most pleasant surprise.

Mmmmmm...hot, spicy, pumpkin cookies, fresh and full of butter right out of the oven. I have to be in the mood to wear this (not on a warm day ), but in fall and winter I can see me reaching for this imp. It's lovely, but because it's fragrance is so specialized, I will wear it only on those chilly days when I want something comforting. All in all, it's an amazing mix.

So...is the lotus the cherrylike sweetness I keep smelling?! If Kurukulla is lotus and roses, why the heck do I notice sweet berries and sugary goodness? That's the miracle of BPAL, I guess. Now that's out of the way, I must say I love Kurukulla! This has become one of my favorite scents. Lotus must be a sweet, sticky scent. I could never pick it out before, but in this imp I believe I can. The end result is one happy Celogrl. This is a happy, festive smell- one I will reach for again and again. (I just re slathered myself as I was writing this review )

Don'tmesswithmewhenIhavethison!!! Grrrrrrr... Wow! This is very unique! The musk is there aplenty, and patchouli pops in to make an appearance and the bottom line becomes a fragrance for a man or woman who is elegant, perhaps haughty even? This is a striking fragrance with staying power, throw, and it dries down to a cool and commanding presence. I did not really expect to like Vechernyaya as much as I do. This imp was from a good friend, and I am so glad she sent it along. It's a new favorite I could see me wearing this when I want to feel powerful. I'm just amazed at the mighty spell this little imp casts. Another stellar surprise, lab!

Oh, I love this Undertow! I really have a hard time identifying lotus, but I can definitely notice the mint and juniper. The mint always stays at the forefront, but the juniper gives the fresh mint a deepness and grounds this and makes it just a little more serious. Undertow is definitely aquatic! The dark side of water? I'm not sure about that, because to my nose (at least today's nose...) this is fresh and uplifting. Lovely job, Beth.

This is so light! I like scents with more 'punch', but Cordelia is a lovely alternative for those moods when lighter is better. Lemon is present, a bit of tea and wisteria, too. This would make a perfect summer day fragrance.
-
Roses and lilac, roses and lilac! Mmmmm...this is gorgeous. It's light, and even though I am not a major rose fanatic, it works beautifully in this mix. This is subtle, and perfect for wearing when one wants a lighter, less powerful scent.

This one is very interesting- however, it's confusing to my nose! I am having a hard time picking out individual notes in this one, but I must say that this is beautifully blended, and the overall impression I have is of a sultry floral. I need to work with this one more!

Alas, this is such a subtle and faint scent on me that it is barely noticeable. Sad, because it's really lovely. My skin seems to eat it, but what does stay around is herby, floral, and springlike. I just wish it stayed on me a bit more!

Mmmmm...this imp is a keeper! Bayou is deep, watery, and sultry. I don't like humidity and summer generally, but this reminds me of a moist summer day after a rain with the thick humidity hanging in the air and the cleanness of that after the rain feeling. This is sensual, and to me, it's BPAL's prettiest and longest lasting aquatic. I love this, especially when it morphs into the dry, powdery floral end. Lovely job, BPAL

Mmmmm...this is fresh- lime goodness, light jasmine and white flowers. This one is really different, with notes that I thought would clash, but it's really beautiful. I love my lime, and Muse is quite loaded with my fave citrus fruit. It's a keeper

Whoo! ACJM- you're one potent blend! I like this Voodoo Blend and I haven't really had the best of luck so far in this category. This is sweet, candylike, and to me, full of rich cherries and berries. I swear it really can uplift one's mood. If it helped me lately with all that's going on, it can help anyone! The drydown is pretty- it still is amazingly powerful with a lot of throw. It stays on the skin a long time and I like that. Big bottle, here I come!

Choc-ooooo-laaaaaaate! Mmmmmmm...this is amazing! It's a silky smooth milk chocolate with deeper layers- almost coffeelike with a bit of toffee mixed in. Wet, it's lovely, but dry is where Bliss really shines. It becomes even richer, and dries down to a cocoa powder soft gorgeousness. This is pure genius!

Thisstuffisgorgeous! It's a lovely cool, clean, watery fragrance with some punch. It's not so clean it's insipid- it has a mysterious note to it. It's fresh but complex. It's clean water with a lot of spookiness to it. Like a deep lake with hidden mysteries under the surface. I can see me wearing it a lot.

From the lab description, I expected something dark and gloomy- maybe a bit sinister. Surprise! This is pretty bright and dare I say? Cheery? It is an uplifting scent, light and bright. It's sweet, with touches of resiny balsam. It's really lovely.

Beautiful. It is chill and icy at first, but in no time at all, it sweetens up as the flowers kick in, but it still retains the wintery note I was so hoping for. This is a keeper and it's gorgeous

This is a hard scent to describe- very hard, but I'll try. I don't get cold or gloom from this, but it is thick, murky and mysterious. It's subtle, though. It almost reminds me of florals mixed with smoke or incense, for lack of a better description. Right now, my nose is not the most reliable (sinus problems ), but this is pretty. It's an enigma of a fragrance that has many facets. From what I can tell, I like it quite a lot.

Hmmmm...Vanilla and a different note I can't identify. It's softer than I expected, and I am still a bit on the fence about this one. The more I try it, the more I like it I expected something more 'powerful', with more presence, but this Black Opal announces her arrival quietly but with an underlying strength. I do especially like the drydown. It lingers beautifully and just smells like clean soft skin. It won't be hard to work with this imp- she's a keeper!

Oh. So. Perfect. Mmmmm...this is gorgeous! I am an unabashed tonka lover, and to me, Aeval is almost all tonka. I can't ask for more The very faint sage lends an earthiness to the light sweet pea and keeps it from being too overly flowery. The musk adds a lovely base to it all. Aeval is one of the more perfect mixtures Beth has concocted. Every note is there for a reason and it all works beautifully. I'm psyched because the tonka is so predominant. It has terrific staying power, and when it's all dry on the skin it fades into the sweetest smell imaginable. This little imp has been the find of my week, if not the month! Big bottle, here I come

I received this courtesy of the lab. My, this is beautiful. It's deep, heavy and 'serious' but not necessarily somber on me. Somehow, it's an enveloping and comforting scent. Mellow green leaves, some with the dry, autumnlike smell are predominant. Woodsmoke? Yes, just a little. This is very light on the florals and that's fine too. There is nothing I do not like about the inspired mix. Beautiful job, Beth and lab.

While I love cedar, I can't say I enjoy it mixed with florals. I'll always love the lab for including 'try me' imps, but this just does not work for me the way I hoped it would. It confuses me! The florals just don't (in my subconscious, anyway ) mix with the wood. It is an interesting scent, but this one may end up being swapped. Thanks Lab for including it, though!

First impression: Sweet, red, grown up cherry cough syrup! Whoo...this is sweet, but pretty. It is an adult winey, berrylike sweet. I am not sure what I expected, but I thought perhaps this would be darker and not so candylike. I can't say I am disappointed though, as it is very pretty. I am glad I ordered it.

Jacob's Ladder...you make me feel cozy, happy, cuddly and safe. Wow- this is a sweet, amber-y mix of all good things that seems to have the ability to calm and ground me. It's a feel good scent that only mellows as it dries to a soft loveliness. I wish I could remember who mentioned it, but this is exquisite now and I also believe this would be a BPAL HG upon once it has aged some. My, I love this one a lot. P.S. More tonka- more tonka! I have a feeling the tonka is what makes this so yummy.

Chilly, snowy, forest laden goodness in a bottle- this is Talvikuu. I absolutely love this scent. It feels like something one should wear all winter; it's a reflective, slightly melancholy scent. I get no pine, but the fir and other evergreen notes mix together beautifully. Oh, this is one beautiful LE!
