    Block Buster

No scent notes from me for this review....strictly results. And all I can say is WOW! I was in a very frustrating place with work, so I put some on my palms before heading off to work one day with a quick meditation and shout out to the universe to help me find something new, and within a couple of weeks a completely unlooked for opportunity thumped down in my lap. It's so right up my alley and I'm very excited about it. Later today I'm doing a followup ritual with a dressed candle and will update with final results.

    The Isle of the Dead

The Isle of the Dead, Arnold Böcklin. Cypress, labdanum, stargazer lily, juniper, yew, black rose, white sandalwood, benzoin and aquatic notes. In the bottle: A hint of sweetness mingled with definite aquatic notes and the soft greenness that I associate with cypress. It's a warm brown colored oil. On le skin: Cypress with a hint of the sandalwood, stunningly goegeous aquatic notes and the lily floating high above. The benzoin lends an old gold picture to the scent, gently warming the aquatics. This puts a picture in my head of a shimmerling lake at sunset....now flashes of gold, now flashes of green along the surface as the sky deepens in color. Overall impressions: It's not giving a tremendous amount of throw, more of an intimate skin scent. Incredibly lovely and a perfect addition for a summer into fall type of scent. I'm very thrilled that I immediately jumped on this for a bottle! Edited to add image - clover

    Caliph's Beloved

On me the cinnamon note comes out clean and strong, yet supported by a floral of some kind - this is so beautifully blended. After a bit it turns slightly resinous/incensy as well on me....no yeasty smell here at all. This is what I wanted Arabian Nights to smell like. It makes you feel mysterious and sexy, which is all good in my book...really just downright f*ckable. I have yet to give this a magickal run as I've been sick and just not up for a damned thing, but I'm thinking candle work, wearing it and a few drops in massage oil should do something fabulous.

    The Peacock Queen

When opening the bottle, I remembered a stunning velvety black red rose called "Night Time" that I grew when I was in high school. Taking a deep whiff instantly reminded me of walking past that rosebush at dusk in the summer, with the heady aroma smacking me in the face several feet away from blooms that almost vanished in the shadows. On my skin it is indeed an imperious rose scent, demanding attention as a queen will. One of the best I have smelled on my skin, and it amps up within 2 minutes of wearing and holds strong for a couple of hours. It dries down to a powdery rose. I've gotten nothing but compliments while wearing this and am definitely considering adding this to the multiple bottle club in my collection.

    Prosperous Business

A slow acting blend that shows steady, ever-increasing gain over the long run. Brings in an influx of prosperity in business by attracting new customers, retaining the loyalty of older customers, and giving you new and unexpected opportunities for profit. Works best in conjunction with green glass or 7-knob candles and the incense, powder, and floorwash bearing the same name. Add a shredded, pulverized dollar bill to the blend before using. Do not use this oil on bare skin, as it contains metals that may cause severe irritation. No description, but I'm hoping it will give my jewelry business the kick it needs. I picked this up at Black Broom. In the bottle: very earthy and green - patchouli, some pine, a hint of basil perhaps. Something mildly sweetish, can't quite pin the note. For experimental purposes, on my skin - the woody note comes out to play, I'm getting cedar now with a sweet note that isn't cloying. This reminds me a lot of walking through the Sawdust Festival down in Laguna Canyon. There's a hint of basil and something else as well coming out as I type this...I'll probably update this later with a more rounded description. ETA: Warning noted and heeded - thanks for that Shollin One thing I've noticed about this oil...it makes me get off my ass and WORK! Using it in a candle has helped bring the focus to get pieces done and out the door. I'm very tempted to try this in an incense as well.

    Medicine Show

A veritable miracle, I tell you! A scent that soothes the spirit and stimulates both the libido and the mind: tobacco, balsam, ginger, elemi and rosewood, with a touch of opium to fuddle your senses. in the bottle it's tobacco and green...like walking into a greenhouse. On my skin the tobacco note leaps out and takes command but it's supported beautifully by the rosewood. And it's not a crappy ew cigarrette tobacco, it reminds me of walking in to a tobaccists shop. A bit more green scent comes out as it changes, but it's a musty green rather than bright. Very beautiful scent, reminds me in some ways of green tea fragrances and a definite keeper. After 30 minutes more of the tobacco comes out, still very pretty.

    Fire Eater

in the bottle it's kinda ozoney, some cinnamon and a sharp crush of something fascinating. On my skin the cinnamon note comes out a bit more, and there's definitely something hot in there, some warmer resiny tones come out in my skin - maybe amber? Fire dancers come to mind when I sniff this. It's quieted down somewhat on my skin now, but still a nice warmth to it, and a hint of metallic note - very interesting. Probably will test this once more before making the final call on it. After 30 minutes a bit of an incensy note comes out on my skin (this happens on a number of scents) and the picture in my mind is now of glowing coals. Scratch my earlier thought, I believe this is a keeper.
