Candy overload. It reminds me a lot of LUSH's Rock Star soap except I don't get the headache after. The soap lathers pretty well and the scent doesn't linger long on my skin. If you're a fan of super sticky sweet stuff this is the soap for you

Do your feet feel like they've been cursed? Don't chop them off! Soothe your tired, aching toes with our warming, stimulating scrub! Red ginger, sweet orange, black pepper, clove, and cardamom. I'm a bit surprised there's a Talaria scrub review but no De Røde Sko one! I shall remedy that. First off let's talk about the packaging. The scrub comes housed in a circular jar that is amber coloured. I know Ted mentioned a while ago he wasn't happy with the orginial labels but the label for the scrub is perfect. It's on the top of the jar, orange with black lettering. I'll take a picture if anyone requests. The scrub itself is white flecked with red bits and the consitancy is pretty well..reminds me a bit of oatmeal. It smells like the christmas season. The orange and clove are most prominent but after a bit that ginger kicks and your feet (or any other part you choose to scrub with this, you can definitely use it all over minus your nether regions) smell a bit like orange gingersnaps. How does it work you ask? WELL. My feet get bruised constantly by all the walking I do and I have a lot of callouses. This scrub not only helped soften them up but it took away and of the dead skin I have...gently. I'm a bit amazed by this because the scrub really doesn't FEEL scrubby if that makes sense but it does a helluva job. Definitely going to be a staple in the fall/winter months but I think the smell would be a bit much in the summer. This is great ish.

Recently there has been a mass influx of swapping outside the swaps forum in Retail Therapy. While there is a general announcement you will see in each of the RT forums (they are posted on the top for a reason) I thought a mass announcement could also be served as a reminder as it seems to be spilling into our other sections as well. THERE IS TO BE NO SWAPS, OFFERS, OR CPs OUTSIDE THE SWAP FORUM!!! . Examples of swapping outside the swap forum include: I have _____ up for grabs If anyone wants to buy/swap ______ for ______ Does anyone have ______ that they would like to swap/sell? If anyone wants me to pick up ______ for them, I'd be happy to do it. <=== second biggest offender. Can someone pick me up _____________ <===biggest offender. If you're not sure if you want you want to say counts, PM a mod and we'll set you on the straight path. I understand these rules seem to be a bit much but trust us, they make it much more efficient in the long run for you to part with your money and get the goodies you enjoy

To me this is late summer in a bottle. I decided to give it the ultimate test...I had left some Tuna in my bento bag...in my Tokidoki purse. I forgot about this bento for like...2 days so when I went to switch purses...my bag smelled RIPE. I turned it inside out, gave it 2 spritzes of L'Estate and prayed. While on the subway whenever I opened my purse to get something this lovely golden perfume would lightly waft out. The amber to me was most previlant, lending the scent the overall warmth it has. The Vanilla is sweet but not cloying and the orange lended just a bit of tartness. It was wonderful...a couple of people next to me remarked how nice I smelled. This is GREAT stuff.

To me this scent perfectly captures the essence of Alice in Wonderland. It's basically Rose Red but the rose is not so super prominent as it is in the perfume. It smells like spring. The green grass seems to come out more the longer the smell stays on. As for staying power....it's there. So far it's the strongest of the atmospheric sprays I've found but I still have 3 left to try. What I love best about this is that it's not a cloying rose scent, it's not heady, more subtle so you don't feel like you're choking in flowers. If you love Rose Red and want your house to smell like it...buy this. If you're longing for Spring...buy this. If you want to have messed up dreams about you being in Wonderland where the Mad Hatter is played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers...buy this too. Tho that last bit may have just happened to me >.>

Alice and March Hare are pretty springtime to me. Actually I think most of the Alice in Wonderland collection would suffice. Also Victoria and Yvanine

First Sniff: Red Lantern and Snake Oil mixed with something more sugary. I don't want to say Vanilla but maybe caramel vanilla? More then just the caramel in Red Lantern. Wet: Oofta. It's like Sugar Skull with the burntness but there's definitely a musky undertone. It's actually a bit like Perversion but with more sugar and less seediness. It's very gourmand. Dry: Sugar Skull/Red Lantern with musk. Seriously I can't get over how much this is like the aforementioned scents, it really takes the best of both and meshes them together with a pinch of snake oil. The musk is VERY potent on me however, I have to really sniff myself to catch the other notes. Aftermath: Well I like it enough but the musk is just so so strong for me. I don't know if my body amps musk or if that's the actual scent...but try it if you're looking for a version of red lantern with musk!

Hi Members! Just a note reminding you all to please only use the calendar function for member forum events. This would be things such as Meet-n-Sniffs and the like. Please do not put anything personal as vacations, marriages etc in the calendar. Moderators post their vacations only so everyone knows that one of us is not around and who to go to with questions. For me Marshmallow Poof smells like...soap. Dove soap to be completely honest. At first sniff I can totally and completely smell the sweetness but once I drop it on my skin it just turns into straight up Dove with a slightly creamy base. It's a damn shame because cold sniff it's this beautiful white fluffy cloud :/

Midnight Kiss is full of notes that hate me. Patchouli, Red Musk & Cocoa. Naturally I expected it to absolutely hate me and I could go along my merry way. WRONG. Oh this is lovely. I don't get any of the dreaded three at all but what I do get (and a lot of) is wine. It actually reminds me a lot of Queen of Spades for some reason. I can definitely make out the patchouli but it's not dirty hippie patchouli but more of a creamier subtle version. I get no cocoa and no red musk at all. It's a very red sort of scent and absolutely fitting with the theme. I'm in LOVE.

October smells like the Autumn Lord. Deep dark woods, a bonfire and a chill of winter in the air. Go to a forest with the sweetest smelling man you can find. Take some dry twigs and light a fire and sit reaaaaaaaaallly close to him. Make sure the day is foggy. Take a deep breath. That's October.

Mmm! First Sniff: Snake Oil drowned in the bottom of the sea. Wet: While orginial Snake Oil doesn't really work for me, the Snake Pit does (well parts of it)! Banded Sea Snake smells more aquatic wet then Snake Oil, although there is just that tinge of Vanilla at first. Dry: Ah there is the snake oil! It's much wetter though (does that make sense?) and the oakmoss really really comes out to play. I must be the only person in the world who loves the smell of Oakmoss. Mayhap it's because I'm a virgo and we dig teh earth? Aftermath: Another solid winner! If Snake Oil on it's own hates you then try the Snake Pit! The combination of Snake Oil + other really changes the dynamic. Banded Sea Snake is an excellent aquatic for those who hate aquatics as the Snake Oil element prevents it from becoming too seaish

When I tried this, the cinnamon really really amped in my skin and caused a bit of an reaction so I had to wash it off However in the bottle it smells like a spicier snake pit with a bit more headiness.

Oh man, I really really wanted to love this but it turned into a complicated floral that was way too sweet on me It was too fruity floral for me and I got no vanilla whatsoever Definitely try it if you're a fan of fruity florals.

Sooooo. Habu for me is sort of like Buck Moon, Holiday Moon and Snake Oil's bad parts rolled into one with a jolt of bamboo. And oddly enough it works! It's snake oil only deeper and woody. Very very sensual, I'm surprised.

Let it be known that orginial snake oil? Not so much a fan. It's way too incensey for me. So I was leery about the Snake Pit but OMG! I totally shouldn't have been Austrailan Copperhead was my first try because I was hoping the amber and berry would amp down the incensey smell I get and I was completely right! The berry really comes out for me (I amp berry like whoa though) and makes the snake oil scent more..lively and rich.

Wow First Sniff: Apple fields & smoke. The first apple harvest with the grain in the air and the smokiness of a newly lit bonfire. This is the scent of cooler nights, freshly baked bread and apple pie. Wet: Apples & smoke. The apples are fairly strong but the smoke prevents it from being too cloying. It could be the lovechild of Wildfire & Mabon, it has the rich smokiness of the former but the lovely apples and spice of the latter. Drydown: On drydown I get that same faint smell that I associate with all of the lunacies but more spicy. I can't really quite put my finger on it but it's GOOD. Definitely more apple now though. Aftermath: SOLD. Compared to last years Harvest Moon (which was more earthy) this years is an apple fest in a bottle! I lurve it. Fantastic staying power too.

First Sniff Fruity bubbly sort of green kind of mannish scent. It's weird. I get nothing of the usual scents I get with the other lunar oils. Wet There is this male cologne called Azzaro Chrome that literally makes me want to devour a man when he wears it. HGM smells EXACTLY like that. Probably one of the most green scents I've ever smelled from BPAL, it reminds me of a very fresh rainstorm. I'm getting none of the vanilla/candied fruits that others seem to get. Maybe my body chemistry is just weird. I get a little hint of ginger but not much at all. Drydown TBD

There's a sweetass monster in my pants. First Sniff: It reminds me a lot of Bearded Lady with more booze and musk. That sweet vanilla that makes Bearded Lady so delicious. Wet: Ohh. It's like Antique Lace's more naughty, alcoholic sister. Drydown: Mmm. Antique Lace and Bearded Lady's bastard redheaded stepchild. Aftermath: It's a NICE foody scent that goes a wee bit floral but I have a couple of other scents that mimic this and would rather have it go to a home where someone would enjoy it more. If you adore vanilla florals though hunt down underpants!

Graveyard Dirt was well...dirt. Gluttony smells like a candy shoppe.

First Sniff: Blue Moon x Kingsport + Lotus/Plum. Wet: This reminds me a lot of Fee. That floral semi fruity mixture it has going on. The plum seems to be overpowering the lotus (actually it overpowers everything but that's me...I amp plum) and whatever whacked out oceanic scent I orginially got. Drydown: A little of this goes a LONG way on me. The drydown settles into this soft scent evocative of the first spring. It's actually quite lovely.

First Sniff: It's as if Midway and Elegba had a love child. Wet: Ooh. Coconut and Caramel and Tobacco. Have any of you ever read Delta of Venus by Anais Nin? There is a story in there called "The Basque and Bijiou" and in it the character Bijou visits this 'clairvoyant' who basically has sex with her. ANYWAY the rambling is because I imagine this is what the room smelled like...heady and sweet and musky. Drydown This is going to sound really weird, but the drydown reminds me of Virgo's drydown...woodsy and spicy. Tobacco tends to be a bit hit or miss with me and in this its very very much a hit. I LOVE it.

Snow Angel is what I wanted Snow Bunny to be on me. It's sort of like taking Ice Queen and Skadi from last year, throwing them into a blender, adding some florals and a light dusting of snow and hitting PUREE.

Normally I'm not a fan of huge mints in my parfum (I think Undertow is the only exception I can think of) but I LOVE the vanilla mint that is Snowblind. It's not an overly coying mint and it's not very subtle either. It reminds me a lot of Lick It's more subdued but still fun brother.
