I know everyone is in a hubbub about lupers- but...I was searching the old posts and I'm tring to find out which pumpkin from 2005 is which. I found photos of I and V courtesty the poster above me, but I dont know how to sort out 2-4 and it looks like the link to the bpal posted key is long gone. Can anybody help me figure this one out?

in the bottle - definitely the scent of fire/smoke here. very sweet but i can pick out the rice, and mead and fruit notes as well they blend together really closely. Sugar yes, not really picking up the cinnamon. wet - cinnamon, sugar, honey, rice pudding. O.o Foodie. Good foodie at least wet. dry - cinnamon, a boozy honey, and the fruit in here is odd. I have no idea what. But it's...interesting. It's not fig. But it makes me think kinda like it is. I like the wet stage better as well as the in bottle stage but this isn't bad. I think i'd like to see beth do a honey, rice pudding, cinnamon, sugar blend. just on it's own. rating - 6/10 (waffling on 7/10 here)

in bottle - ginger, orange, bergamot, lemongrass, a hint of incense not much. dont get rose or floral really. wet - ginger orange lemongrass! with a..there's something that cools this scent down a lot. It's a little odd. dry - ginger, lemongrass, orange...soap. Darn it. I want an orange scent that works on me! Like...superbad. Rating - 4/10

in bottle - rose, slight plasticky scent which I believe is my nose misinterpreting something. and vanilla.. Wet - a very faint rose. With lots of vanilla. It's somewhat like victoria, but not. I don’t get the plastic bit anymore. Dry - mostly vanilla, and...something else. a non rose floral? There's just a hint of rose in this. 6/10 I was really hoping for something more like Victoria, or Rose Red.

in bottle - nuts, berries, with the afterscent of hay and honey and carrot. wet - hay, carrot, and an almost cherry like berry. dry- gunpowder, with BERRIES. I like it! a hint of hazelnut here too. But the carrot and the hay...yum.. Rating - 7/10
-
in the bottle - I can definately pick out the slightly bitter scent of red peppers. woods, leaves, and then I get a hint of floral and some musk underneath. wet - aquatic? and peppers? is exactly what i'm getting. masculine. dry - mostly aquatic, colone like, and a hint of peppers. Another very good guy scent I'm not going to wear myself. Rating - 4/10 (but it'd be really good on a guy!)

in the bottle - tobacco. peach. these stand out the most to my nose. then musk, and tonka. disturbing, dark, yet somehow warm and pleasant. I wouldn't want to smell like this wearing it in a locket, but I could see wanting something I own scented with this. A small stuffed bear. Something...Yeah, how odd right? wet - the tobacco doesnt stand out as much, peach, currant, tonka, ..something else that's not the musk. As it dries the redwood though is taking over. dry - this is suprizingly, and shockingly to me, pretty. I can definately smell the peach and it stayed true. It's delicate, and contrasts the darker harshness of the tobacco and clove, and musk. The redwood sort of serves as a wood table for it all to sit on top of. and a hint of tonka kind of mellows and blends it together. I will only want to wear this fall/winter, I can tell, but it's worth wearing. . Something about this is oddly familiar, and very comforting too. Rating - 5/10 I'll be wearing this, but only sometimes.
-
in bottle- pine. whoa. scary pine. Pitch like in illustrated woman. Clove like in pickled imp. wet - the pine is taking on a slightly astringent quality here. Pine Sol? Oh dear....no no now it's settling. And there's clove. and astringent is becoming more "cold" and "fresh". dry - this dries fast. it's clove, and smoke, and pine afterwards. It's cold and fresh and warm at the same time, there's no pine sol here folks. It's too masculine for me to wear however. THIS is what christmas smells like in my head. Rating 5/10 even though I dont want to wear it. I want to find a guy friend to cuddle and douse him in it however....

in bottle- super sweet chocolate, coffee, a hint of cinnamon wet - I'm suprised. it's a lot less sweet, the coffee and cocoa stand out in a mix here, but the "over" sweet to the point of ick that sometimes coffee/chocolate/cocoa bpal does on me isn't here very strongly. it's by no means bitter, and still very sweet just not overly so. the cinnamon is still very background here. I think the coffee note isn't playing nice on my skin though, it's not staying true. dry - chocolate, coffee, no cinnamon really in here to speak of. The coffee note isn't workin for me, but...I totally can see how this would be spectacular on someone else. rating - 3/10 but dont let that deter you!
-
in bottle - florals, and a hint of citrus wet - this turns into ...an indistinguishable perfume like smell on me. dry - same thing, but dustier. This just doesnt work with my skin chemistry at all. 3/10

in bottle - complex. wow. I dont know what to say . I can pick out...lemon verbena. and some darker herbal. maybe the opoponax? I'm not familiar with but half these notes. wet - lemon verbena, the herb scent is less, i'm definately getting almond now. and some floral too faint to differentiate. the lemon verbena totally dominates. This scent has depth, but I'm not sure it's for me. dry - this is very lemony, but not candy vanilla like. it's lemon with herbal background. it's too much like pledge or a cleaner for me. rating 3/10 My god, talk about notes i dont know and difficult to differentiate. This makes me so wish beth would make "imp flights" of single notes for us poor ignorant fools.

in bottle - ginger, patchouli, vanilla, and an odd berry. This is a very complicated scent to say the least. I want to say cocoa, and know it's not, but there's definately some dark herb scent here that's sort of halfway trying to be . wet - this stings a little on me. i get a clean patchouli, thankfully, the kind I like, I was worried when I saw it in the list. I can pick out the myrrh and sage however. and oakmoss. then berry and vanilla and smoke and herbs. The ginger and the clove dont really show up anymore. It's going kinda dusty on me though. dry - huh. berry. kinda reminds me of the grape in shivering boy, but the rest of the notes dont. it's dusty on me for sure. mostly really it's dust. i'm wondering if it's not oakmoss that does it on me. *hrrm* later - it's less dusty. more berry and spice. rating - 5/10

2008 Version in bottle - lavender, amber, incense, what i guess is poppy or rose geranium. hints of woods. wet - lavender and amber. but it's definately a "dark" scent, and the incense/poppy are still there. I'm not getting any of the woodsy scents. though. dry - mostly lavender and amber and this is well dark. it's not too different from wet, other than i can smell rosewood now. I'd almost give this a "fruity" quality. rating - 5/10 2009 Version in bottle - amber, geranium, poppy, lavender, incense. No real hints of woods here. wet - this is much more poppy, rose geranium, and much less lavender but that's still strong, and much less incense/amber. dry - about the same as wet here. rating - 5/10 In short- the 2009 version is much more floral on me than 2008. 2008 has a lot more amber than 2009.

A radiant blend of solar oils: golden amber, saffron, heliotrope, hibiscus, citron, frangipani, frankincense, tangerine, mock orange, and orange blossom. 2006 Version in the bottle - frankincense, a spicy/odd floral, amber in the background. There's "citrus" here but I"ll be darned if I get orange. wet - citrus, frankincense, and floral, it's slightly powdery. dry - incense went to powder. and there's floral. no thank you. Rating 3/10 2009 Version in the bottle - Amber, orange/citrus, then floral, then sort of a spicy incense note, guessing this is frankincense and maybe the saffron together in the back. Much more citrus much more amber, much less dusty floral than 2006 wet - HELLO ORANGE! amber and florals temper this a little. what incense? Why hello again orange. Yes, yes..seriously...I saw you. No really. dry - a little powdery on me, much less than 06, there's still distinct citrus, amber, and floral here. Rating - 4/10. Sadness on the powder...

in bottle- menthol/snow/cold + grapes + trees (i'm gettin evergreen) + resins. I'm leery. I like "snow/cold" notes but I'm finding I'm picky about what they're paired with. I'm picky about evergreen notes too. wet - whoa, grapes, frostily covered in mint, with resins. the evergreen scent is vanished. the mint/menthol/cold note quickly fades down and I have grapes + resins + that in the background. I dont associate this with "cold" anymore. It's more like an empty warmth, it's there, it's warm, but not really. Dry - grapes, and resins are what i get, with evergreen and snow in the background. rating - 7/10 but this really smells like another yule blend. Not sure which or what year (isn't that helpful?)
-
in bottle- frost on red berries. wet - berry, with frost, and i think osmanthus (leaves and flowers I think? there's an evergreen scent) in the background. dry - there's the ylang ylang and lillies. it's now mostly evergreen but i can get flowers and berries and frost still. The osmanthus isn't working out for me here. It's reminiscint of other berry/evergreen/snow scents that have been released over yule, but the osmanthus turns masculine slightly on me and becomes the dominant note. Rating - 4/10
-
in bottle - mint, snow, and a hint of warmth that I'm guessing is the mums in the background. Wet - snow, and distinctly mum. It's a little aquatic or green to my nose. This is certainly a simple, delicate scent. dry - that mum/green/aquatic scent all over. snow in the background and a little amber. rating 3/10 In short - this i'm sure will please someone, greatly. it's just not me. It's a little "old lady" like on me.
-
In the bottle - vanilla. But not pure vanilla for sure. Champaca, musk, caramel. I'm not picking out ylang ylang or patchouli here. ugh. i got my doubts here. wet - honey. vanilla, honey, and some spices in the background. this is much better. muuuch. a honey that works on me! and stays true. dry - a woodsy scent with honey and vanilla with some champaca to warm it up in the background. There's a lurking faint floral. Otherwise the other notes make no appearance. Rating - 4/10 If it smelled like it did wet, just honey and vanilla with hints of spice, i'd be all over this.

in bottle - musk, woods, very dark, reminds me of Determination from TAL. This is not a good thing Wet - well something is feral musk and gross. Dead leaves in here as well and pleasant back notes but the front note I'm not sure what it is, but go away. Yuck. dry - the same. musky, feral, reminds me of licorice or other things like that and it's just downright ...no If you like things like - Velvet Tiger, Determination (TAL), and Rating - 2/10 . I've smelled worse on me, a few times. Maybe this works for some folks, more power to you!

in the bottle- ozone, cold, mint. No snow. Wet - eucalyptus and mint. More herbal than minty. Definitely cold. Ozone really stands out in this on me. Reminds me of Faunalia but chillier. Dry - goes kinda soapy on me, it's still nice, but soapy. With eucalyptus. I dont really get "mint" overwhelmingly here at all Rating 4/10 - even soapy it's kind of pretty and wearable, but...really there's better things.

This one really broke my heart. First one to do so. I am in LOVE with Lick It Like you Mean it, and was joyfully hoping for a very close brother to it. Well, it's related, but it's a cousin not a twin. I am hoping maybe it'll change to be more like Lick It Like You Mean It as it ages but I'm thinking that may be futile and I should re-start my quest to find more of last years and sell off this years. in bottle - peppermint with some sugar. Candy Canes, but no vanilla. Compared to last years it's more mint and less sweet, and no vanilla. Wet - mint! And sugar. It's not as good as last years yet, but we'll see what it does when it's dry. Dry - mint, and a different mint than last years. I agree that it smells like there's skin musk in here too even though there isn't? This is honestly dissapointing in comparison. greatly. 3/10

in bottle- sage, snow, mint, woods. I dont get amber here. wet - ow! This stings a little. What?! I'm getting all sage and mint. It's very herbal on me. Cold, but herbal. it's not very strong either. It reminds me more of a medicine cabinet than a perfume. later i'm getting hints of amber and rose. Peppermint gum however is the overwhelming impression. And that's not awesome. (and i'm even the biggest Lick it like you mean it fan in the world i think). dry - rose! what?! rose and mint and a hint of woods and amber. less gum, more winter woods but warmed by amber. However it's gone a little powdery too. Just not my scent. later - okay, well, now it's amber, cold woods, no mint. a little rose. This is actually a lot better. But the dry down is pretty significant. I would wear this but i'm not sure how often. It gets more amber as it goes which makes me like it better but the wet stage..ehh. In short Rating - 5/10 Later edit- I stand corrected. The longer this sits on me the more amber this is. It just gets better to the point I was like, whoa. This stage is definately like 9/10 on me. Question is...do I want to put up with the first half hour enough to buy a full bottle? hrrm.....

This is for the 2009 Version: in the bottle - church incense. It makes me think of old wooden church pews as well in a big old sanctuary. wet - it's about the same. Very incense. and dusty. overall i would not call this pleasant. its kinda going powdery on me too. dry - powder and incense. Rating - 2/10 It's just not for me. Then again, I have no pleasant mental associations truly with what this scent reminds me of, and I'd prefer not to walk around smelling like that. If I want a meditation/make me think about religion perfume, I'll be reaching for Samhain or white light or goblin rider (the last one is like a ritual around a fire at night in the woods. mmm. Okay i'll stop babbling now).

in the bottle - I think pomegranite, green, and sugar. wet - this becomes drastically less sweet and more tart. it's a tart almost berry like pomegranite, with something greener underneath. dry - less green, more pomegranite, a little sweet. It's pretty good. Rating - 6/10 It's nice, but it's very simplistic on me. I prefer slightly more complex scents (even if I'm not a wild fan of 30+ note ones).
-
in bottle - rose, it's darker than rose red, but only slightly. Not nearly as dark as London. Wet - rose, again, it doesn’t really morph. Dry - a very pretty rose, that's a little different than rose red (a fav of mine) There's no snow or cut grass it's just dark roses. Rating 8/10 I have half a bottle, I'm debating a full one. But I already have 2 bottles of Rose Red 2008....... not sure this is dissimilar enough on me to want another bottle.
