In the bottle I can smell the sage a bit. On skin, first off, the sweet pea (as last smelled from Mouse's Tale) comes up. A close sniff yields sage and maybe the tonka. From afar the scent is rich and creamy like Mouse's (sweet pea/tonka/musk?). The sage throws a twist. Makes it a little herby, but without beating you over the head. Surprisingly nice!-- In the end, a little heavy on the sweet pea... Not as nice as Mouse's Long & Sad Tale, personally.

This is my first time reviewing a scent, and Silk Road is the candidate for such a thing because DAMN was this unexpected... I received Silk Road as a frimp, and was partially wary of it because of how vague the description was. Herbs, flowers, oils, and balms ranging from 13 locations/civilizations? ... The possibilities are quite grand. From reading the reviews in this thread, I mustered up the confidence to try this blend, hoping for the magnificent spices and light touch of florals... The summation of this scent on my skin is gummy, yeasty bread dough, with a hint of clove and cinnamon. ... That's...all. At first it smelled pretty "green" and sharp, but almost immediately morphed into sourdough dough. Better luck next scent.
