In imp: Wet and SHARP! It bit my nose when i first sniffed it!!! Very very fresh.. i like it, but it is a cold scent. On skin immediately: Did not morph over much. a little less astringent. nicer to a sensitive nose, but cool. Shortly after: mhhh... getting kinda sweet (still not picking up any citrus) but breezy and nice. no more sharpness Later: (after about 5 hours) light and airy, but with hints of cool mint and... some sort of sophisticated refinement. verdict: To angry for me, and far too cold. But it is LOVELY on my mother.

MMMMH!!! In bottle: WOAH green!!!! Yet with a hint of tart sweetness and breezy air. Wet: exactly like the scent in the bottle. Fresh, cool, crisp. Later: More of the berry peeks through as the grass takes a back seat. Flowers become more prominent aswell, but not in an abnoxious way. Throw: Avarage: 5-6 hours + Final: OMGZ i luurrvvss it. Gonna seriously consider going full bottle, but for right now i have too many to experiment with. ^^ Delicious in a fresh yet feminine way! Perfect for hot days...

YUM YUM YUMMMM!!!!!! In the bottle: WOOOOOOW CHOCOLATE BROWNIES.... but like, enough for an army. On me: Does not change, but becomes a bit milkier... DELICIOUS.... omg i smell like a warm brownie just fresh out of the oven before it's had time to cool. Later: Does not change on me at all. Remains chocolate. Milk Chocolate. But... like BAKED milk chocolate (maybe a bunt cake?) Throw: Avarage 5-6 hours. Remains yummy the whole time. Overall: Bliss and i truly did find bliss together, but i realize i just can't handle BPAL food smells on ME as well as i can in the air. Imp is enough. But nothing wrong with the smell, didn't even go wonky on my skin chemistry.... just.. realize i don't want to smell edible to myself because i'll get sick of it really fast.

mhhhhhh In bottle: DELICIOUS. And Fresh... and tropical, but not sticky sweet. On me: Odd skin chemistry kicks in. The cocunut gets an almost chemical smell, and becomes cloying. Later: faint, but like dried coconut... that's been sitting in the sun for more than 12 hours. Throw: Avarage. about 5-6 hours-- really light so it needs a heavier application. Overall: Not unbearable.... but the imp is DEFINITELY enough. Hubby loves it though.

okiiieessss.... finally my second order is in!!! Hm, mixed feelings about this one. Thought i would love it more than anything else... In the bottle: OMGZ OMGZ OMGZ it smells..... HOLY... jeesh. Amazing. I dunno HOW they do it- but it smells like FRESH strawberries... without fake sugar. And just the PERFECT hint of cream (I love bpals creams *drools*) It smells absolutely DELECTABLE!. On me: Does not change fist half hour or so... remains powerfully sweet but fresh. After a bit: Wierd skin chemistry kicks in and the sweet gets amped into the fake sugar zone..... while the srawberry goes plastic-y... T_T T_T T_T T_T Though my mom did walk in and sniff and say " oh my .. is that you?? I thought we had a dessert int he house!" Even after a few hours... but i realize i just CAN'T do BPAL foody so well. However, do to its AMAZING anf flawless TRUE scent, without my skin.. i'm definitely keeping it and trying it either in an oil burner... or scent locket type thingy. Throw: Amazing- 12+

hmm.. i have heard good things about Blood Kiss, but i tend to get scared of flowers (lol, fragrance)-- and terrified of vetiver.... I once smelt some pure vetiver in a man's cologne and it had me feeling a bit ill.... Jezabel, Alice and Zarita are already on my list, so i'm definitely going to try those. ^^
-
Hey, bumping this thread with a question ^^ Okay i am looking for something kinda specific..... An oil with cream, or honey (though both is okay too) tones that does NOT smell foody in any way, exclusing Katrina Van Tassle (who is already my favorite but i am looking for something new ^^)
-
Hm why don't you try Drink Me ( Which i find TOO sweet and overpowering myself, but might be good with someone who has trouble smelling) Or Eat Me (which is supposed to be really sweet and sugary and vanilla-y but i cannot attest myself). Otherwise try Gluttony from the seven deadly sins, or the Candy Butcher from CD... uhm otherwise you could look into tracking down (or waiting until next christmas) Butter Rum cookie and all of the really foody christmas blends. Christmas time brings about most of the food smells. Black Pearl might work too. uhm.... yea.. i don't really enjoy the gluttonous sweet food smells myself so i can't name anymore off the top of my head.... but you chould try going into BPL search engine and type in "chocolate" or "vanilla" or "cake"... it will probably give you all of the foody blends... I highly recommend Gluttony: Thick, sugared and bloated with sweetness. Dark chocolate, vanilla, buttercream, and hops with pralines, hazelnut, toffee and caramel. or even... Vice : Voluptuous and indulgent! A deep chocolate scent, with black cherry and orange blossom.

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

No, actually i haven't tried any of the scents you metnioned -.-'', but i did just take a look at the unity set from, TP, and was wondering if the comingled spices would interfere with the very light "white" scent of the rose? Also for two, five, & seven (which i was looking at recently) i was wondering if the crush of so many different roses would create a stronger, more heady rose scent? (I'm very shy with rose scents becuase alot tend to go very granny-perfum on me..) -
Hm, well when i tried dabbing my finger onto my pulse points after turning the bottle into said finger i found i got SO MUCH that i nearly suffocated myself, and everyone in the house. So then i started using a toothpick, but found the wood soaks the oils up..... my remedy: coat one half of said toothpick in clear (or colour coirdinated for differentiation... a different colour for every scent) nail poilish, and after it dries dip the coated half (which becomes like plastic). For me, one small droplet caught at the tip of the toothpick is enough for one pulse point.

wow, these are all really intereresting blends, what do any of you think of Medea in comparison to Masabakes or Ultraviolet? -

erm.. vapour rub... maybe not the right thing. The only problems with the limited editions is... she'd have to buy a full bottle unsniffed... she was hoping for an Imp's ear of something in case it ends up not being right... :/ -

Any similarities in the "permanent" scents to Glowing Vulva or Snow White?? Just wondering, cream does really well on me and these sounded interesting. -

oh my, wow thank you SOOO much guys. This is beyond helpful, i would have never klnown where to start looking otherwise!! lol. Hmm i think the fresh and icy smells might appeal, i shall look into them. EDIT: huh... :S i can't find anything on Snow White... is it a limited edition?? -
urrrrhhhh -.-''''' In bottle: Spice spice spice, a touch of sugar and nothing nice . haha on skin wet: WHOOOO, now here is a womanly fragrence. Smells really classy and refined with a sophisticed edge while absolutely spelling experience and s-e-x! sharp and tangy undernotes. Can imagine this would adore the plundging neckline of a curvy untamable yet seductive and perhaps whily woman. She would have to be worldly, wearing a tightfitting low hanging red dress, blood red nails, evil poppy-crimson grin and all. :0 perhaps the vision would be complete with long wavy hair, dark smouldering eyes and "come-hither" body language. Powerful, commanding, confident. Seems like something that would draw a man looking for a challange in. Dry:smells the same, heady and intoxicating to the max. Final thoughts: I'm sure it smells LOVELY on someone but alas it really isn't the scent for me. TOO much wary power ha ha, end up intoxicating myself.

hmmm an interesting, light one. In the bottle: Kind of powerful, sharp and crisp while still maintaining a humid floral timber. Wet: very strong florals, hot scented. (definitely hot house material) Dry: faded into suble soapy smells and drifted off quickly. Reminds me of Ivory soap, or something glycerine based.. a little commercial, but calming. Definitely not on my shun list . ^^ But i think the imp is enough for me. Update: Upon being worn for 12 hours, it becomes heavy, humid, and almost nausiatingly sweet. :S The sweetness becomes overwhelming without the sharpness of the "soap" smell.....

ahhhhh *holds nose* no wait *holds head* In bottle: Really sweet, tangy, kinda sharp with some spicy undertones.... overwhelmed by the sweetness though. On skin wet: Stings my nose. sticky sickly sweet incense pierced through and made sharp by laurel. Dry: blech... it's SO powerful it's wafting up from my ANCLE and giving me a headache. My sinuses are all cranky and tight... kinda feels like panting deeply on an extremely windy day. Uhm, still sticky and sweet. Kind of musty and thick, feels like if it had a home that home would be called humidity.

The first BPAL scent i really really disliked, not unbearable but certainly not in good graces with me. In the bottle: BITTER and powerful, smells like ashes. On skin wet: TUMERIC!!!!!! exactly and totally and percisely tumeric. Which to me smells like and outdoor campfire... but only the sulfur of the campfire none of the other things that accompany it in the wild. No other tones, just tumeric. Dry: softer version of the tumeric, with a slight hint of sweetness concealed by the bitter tones.
-
err, i did not particualrily like this one. Bottle: Smells airy and sharply fresh, rose and yellow blossoms prominent. Wet: very similar to the in-bottle scent but with a heady more incense-oriented background Dry: Faded fast, smells like old crumbling wilted roses. Not unpleasant necessarily but definitely hit me as a "granny" fragrance, or something aged. Dusty, powdery, fumey...
-
ehhh..... not one of my favorites. I had SUCH high hopes... but it just came out WAY too sweet and the rum was overpowering... too much bite not enough nutty sweetness... In the bottle: really strong, sweet, smokey with a hint of alcohol. Wet: super sweet with a sting from the run, the other scents i could not pick out from the muddle. Dry: lasted a LOOONG time... over 12 hours and i just put the tiniest baby smear on ONE of my wrists. Retained pure, brown suggaryness... not much of anything else. It ended up kinda gaudy on me, and it seems more of an older fragrance.....
-
OMG OMG OMG OOOMMGGGGGGGG. hah uhm *cough* yes well anyway that was my reaction. ^^ In bottle: VERY sharp pine, lemon, citrusyness On skin: MMMMMMMMMM oh my goodness........ this is the SEXIEST male fragrance ever. (I realize it's unisex but just to me it kinda smells totally like a guy thing... without having that WAY overpowering cologness to it.... so beautiful and fresh) Dry: Still as delicious with subtle and totally sensuous musk comming through. *drools* i CANNOT wait to put a dab of this on my hunny...... I absolutely adore this scent for a male because it's hard and masculine without being overpowering and suffocating. It's so FRESH and earthy and just YUM.. woodsy clean-ness...with a hint of sexy comming through with the spicy musk background.
-
I just put a dab of this stuff on my wrist and it's currently wafting up my nose... will have to wait and update this when it calms down. In the bottle: the MOST delicious thing. gooey and warm and caramely with tones of toffee and butter seeping through. Upon first application: almost sickly sweet (this will definitely get rid of a sweet tooth), and nut/custardy. I'm not getting any of the cherry notes... more like buttery french toast with caramel, butterscotch popcorn all served on a warm... nutty loaf of bread. hmm will see what it turns into... :::EDIT::: Dry: revealing golden tones of toffe, very sweet and sugary and warm.. reminds me of molten caramel apple blossoms. ha ha ^^ Uhm, the only other thing i can say is nutty. very nutty, the butter flavour to it has subsided. Golden Caramel Nut Toffee. Final thought: uhmm.... don't think it's the one for me, certainly not for a full bottle but i will keep the imp around as it would be nice for a sweet occassion like a christmas get together with the relatives or trip to the carnival/fair.
-
Absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!!!! At first sniff in the bottle i got soft petal-ey sweetness with candied rose petals just dripping in honey laquered cream (more honey than cream, which balanced out the rose [roses usually come out overly powerful and gaudy on my skin] in perfectly equal proportions). Wet on my skin: just like it smelt in the bottle! After a few hours wear: simmered down and clung to the skin with a divine lace elegance, definitely a favorite with its classy, sophisticaed CLEAN sweetness. Unlike most candy type or powerful floral sweet smells, this one retained a very youthful almost dryer-sheet clealiness to it. Extremely warm and soothing, would recommend for a bitter day. Update: My hubby-to-be ABSOLUTELY LOOVES it more than any other fragrance i'ce ever worn, he think's it's the sexiest thing and can't get enough of it lol. Goes absolutely beserker.

ahh i see, i shall have to go read up on these scents lol. Hmmm.. i was looking at Medea earlier, but i'm not sure how it would work... these "regal" scents look to have some promise.
