The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter
zankoku_zen replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Good Omens
Herbs, a touch of something floral, hints of paper. This one is more of a soft herbal with tones of paper. And maybe a whiff of brown leather. It's warm, cozy, and fun. Good throw and wear length.- 3 replies

All of the red musk. This codes to my nose as pretty much red musk SN. If there's anything else in there, my skin ain't picking it up. Good throw and wear length.
-
Sweaty oud-like agarwood and dirty patchouli. I mainly get oudh, and patchouli. Great throw and wear length. Not for me.
-
Bright green apple patchouli, and a whiff of lemon. It's mainly a bright green apple with enough patchouli to keep it rooted. Brighter than I expected. Good throw and wear length.
-
Honeyed frankincense with a whiff of bergamot on wet. But yeah, honeyed frank. So honey and resins. Good throw and wear length.
-
Honey with a whiff of absinthe. This is mainly an herbal sort of honey. Medium throw and wear length.

Strong sharp patchouli and vetiver.... Wait. I'm getting glimmers of Capricorn 2004. Which is my favorite patchouli blend ever. WHY HELLO THERE STRANGER. Yes, yes, I would like to know you better. *goes off to find more*

Black Pepper and Sandalwood
zankoku_zen replied to Belladonnastrap's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Spicy sandalwood. This is peppery, but a whiff of something yarny and cozy on the drydown warming up that sandalwood. This smells like yarn. Sort of wooly, cozy, and with spice in it. -
Palo Santo and Frankincense
zankoku_zen replied to Belladonnastrap's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Licorice, dark frankincense, and a whiff of cool palo santo. Heavy, dark, resinous. Good throw and wear length. -
Shove a handful of wildflowers in your face, inhale the pollen, have your eyes water and there you have it. It has that bright fresh green from freshly cut flowers, a swirl of several different flowers but I can catch whiffs of both the wisteria and the narcissus, and yeah, if you're looking for a floral bouquet, look no further. Good throw and wear length.

Vivid pink peony doused in amber. There's something candy-like on it, very pink, and it smooths out as if the peony was dissolving into the amber. Medium throw and wear length.

Oh god, fresh jasmine, vanilla and a whiff white tea. This smells fresh, delightful and outside and I really sort of adore this.
-
Smash your face into some lavender, and with a whiff of herbal and wood notes, and the rock rose softens the saltiness and its just effing delightful. This is the lavender aromatherapy I didn't know I needed.

Sweet vanilla, smooth marshmallow and a whiff of sandalwood underneath preventing this from living in the super sweet foodie vanilla bit. This is a sophisticated vanilla marshmallow blend. Grown up. You don't smell like cake, but more like you ate cake recently? That's the best analogy I can come up with.

Rich red chypre, red fruits, and a whiff of patchouli. I shouldn't love this so much, but I do. I think a few months of aging will make everything sort of meld together, and you will just get a red fruity sort of chypre. UGH. Low throw, but wonderful as a skin scent.

Now, suppose this is to be accepted as the rational and scientific explanation of all the phenomena of this order which have been observed since the human race began to conserve records of its own experience. To what conclusion should we be logically forced? The believe in the objective reality of apparitions under such conditions would have to make way for a new conception, but the point which is really at issue between the materialist and the spiritualist would remain untouched. That issue relates to the permanence of the human personality after death. The spiritualist will point you to his own experiences as affording evidence of the permanence of personality. The materialist is certain that all the experiences of which the spiritualist is conscious result from the operation of natural law. But the eternal question of the soul – “Am I an immortal thing?” – is not to be decided either by the proof of the existence of whole armies of ghosts, or by the rational explanation of all apparitional phenomena whatsoever. The spiritualist falls into an easy error in the supposition that a continuance of personality on a new plane implies a permanence of continuity. What guarantee has a ghost of being immortal? Me not he also perish out of his appointed sphere? And why might we not fancy a whole procession of lives in phantom state – each more ghostly, more attenuated than its forerunner – the ghost of a man, the ghost of a man’s ghost, the ghost of a “ghost’s” ghost, until the thin thing fades into nonentity and slips back into the universal element? The materialist falls into an error parallel with that of the spiritualist when he conceives that a rational explanation of all ghostly phenomena has disposed of a belief in immortality. The concept is as independent of evidence, and as unsupportable by evidence as it is indestructible by evidence. We can neither prove nor disprove, but the balance of reason is still upon the side of the believer and it favours strongly the hope of a continued existence and a continued growth. We can but argue from things known. In all nature we find the clearest evidence of law of progress. – the Occult Review, January 1905 Falling into nonentity and slipping back into the universal element: pallid oakmoss and earthy patchouli tumbling into a void of misty lavender, cistus, and white agarwood. Misty lavender, oakmoss, and a whiff of patchouli. Misty is right! This is wispy, ghostly lavender. Medium throw and wear length.

[No additional description provided.] This one is pretty straight forward. It's a very sugary honeyed apple blend. I get red apple, and sugary honey. It's got great throw and wear length.
-
This one is cedar, nagarmotha, and moss. I end up with a somewhat clean fougere blackened by cedar and patchouli. It's oddly gender neutral toward masculine on me, and for those of you that like clean musk/fougeres, give this a whirl. Good throw and wear length.
-
I get lots of inky oudh, musk, and patchouli with an overlay of moss. It's mainly a dark, musky, patchy oudh. And oudh does strange things on my skin. Good throw and wear length, of course.
-
Effervescent root beer, sassafras with a mild aquatic note. It tends to toggle between a cologne and a rootbeer for me. Good throw and wearlength.
-
Yuzu, pear, and green musk. Fresh, juicy, fruity! This one is so fresh and perfectly great for the summer. Great throw and wear length. Did not expect this to be a standout.
-
Sweet sugary rose jam. Jammy, roses, sugary. Great throw and wear length.
-
Mango, tangerine, orange, whiff of additional sweet fruits and white tea and a touch of red musk underneath. This is a very mango+citrus blend. Medium throw, average wear length. But than mango and fruit thoooo.
-
Champagne, ambergris, and a whiff of frankincense. This is very refined champagne blend. Good throw and wear length.

I get a very green herby mix over lace, patchouli, cedar, and a whiff of woodsmoke. This is like herbs sent on a nice bonfire out there. Herby, green, smoky. Good throw and wear length.
