I nabbed this via the 2018 ebay auction. This has come up before, I believe in 2011-2012, and even more recently in 2016. Himalayan Cedar is the cedar that you think it is. It's big, bold, woodsy. The cedar has a bit of a patchouli funk as it dries. This smells like a cedar chest. It's all cedar in your face. It's not really like pencil shavings since the cedar is richier, woodier, and bolder. It goes strong for about six hours, and then after that dissipates.

Buttermilk pancakes with boysenberry syrup and goat butter! Pancakes, jam and a whiff of syrup. I get a ton more of the boysenberry jam in the HG as opposed to the perfume. Good throw and wear length.

I managed to snag a candle that another BPALer was off-loading. It smells deeply rosey. Good throw. Good wear length.
-
Madagascan vanilla bean, vanilla orchid, orris root, and saffron. The HG is very vanilla centric. It's vanilla, a hint of vanilla orchid, and a dash of saffron. Honestly, this reminds me to Love's Philosophy. Good throw and wear length.

Water bog and lilies with a touch of sea salt. This one smells more like meadows right above a sandy beach. It's sort of innocent, and you get the idea of the sea, but there's nothing very eldritch about this or sinister. It's actually really pleasant. For those of you that enjoy aquatic florals and/or beach blends, give this a whirl. Medium throw and wear length.

Did I not review this? On me, this is a very light resinous skin musk. Mr. zee_zee on the other hand loves this. It's his new BAE. It smells like a sophisticated chypre musk. It's amazing. Thereby proving that DRAG IS FOR EVERYONE.
-
Pom, red musk, and a whiff of melon. I actually get more melon out in the hairgloss version than I ever did in the perfume or bath oil because red musk is such a powerful note on me. This one as a HG is much fruitier. It actually makes me think of sangria.

Musky black leather and a whiff of latex. This smells like black leather musk. And frankly really reminds me to DeSade. For all of you black leather lovers.
-
I mainly get cedar, a touch of tonka and clove. Not really getting either cherry blossom or white tea. It's mainly a cedar and spicy tonka whiff.
-
Blueberries and sugary florals. Oh man, this is not what I expected at all. This smells like blueberries, a hint of citrus, and snowy florals. GUH. So good.
-
Grease paint, clean aftershave and a whiff of leather. This oddly enough reminds me to theater. It's a clean manly blend, but definitely got that theater vibe going. Good throw and wear length.

Copal, marigolds, mums. Overall it smells like a smoky marigold and mums blend. It definitely has that Mexican Day of the Dead Flair, and my closest guess is the Calavera Catrina is a kissing cousin. If you liked Calavera Catrina or Day of Skulls, give this a whirl. It's a much more smoky floral though. Good throw and wear length.

Patchouli, clove, and whiskey. HOLY GOTH NIGHT, BATWOMAN. It smells dark, clovey, and gothy. It also has a very IDGAF vibe. DEADLY.
-
Lavender-violet with a touch of vanilla sugar. This actually reminds me to First Love Fades Too. But with slightly more sass. FLFT was somewhat dreamy, this one is very cheerful.
-
Mint juleps! This smells light and refreshing! But you have to love both mint and bourbon.
-
Sugared apples and blueberries. This one is very fruit candy based and it smells most strongly on wet. The fruit sort of dissipates as it dries, and I get a whiff of creaminess on the drydown. This one is low throw and wear length on me. Sugary, fruity.
-
On wet, it's mainly a fudgy chocolate buttercream. As it dries, the chocolate dissipates on my skin and I get more of a vanilla buttercream. Unfortunately the type of butter or cream note is the type to go somewhat plasticky on my skin, so it ends up like a really nice vanilla plasticky doll smell. Medium throw, good wear length.
-
Sugary cotton candy Dorian. The Dorian aspect is much more prominent on wet, but as it dries down the vanilla from Dorian comboed with the cotton candy sugar really make it a vanilla sugary musk. You can still catch the Dorian origin of the blend. Medium throw and wear length.

What bheansidhe said. This is pretty much sharp-sweet raspberries and currants. There's no lingering vetiver. I feel like its mainly a whisper to ground it all. Soft, fruity, and very wearable. UGH. LOVE THIS.
-
Black pepper, cardamom/clove and musky leather. This is masculine. It's a piratey-version of a Magician blend if you ask me. The pepper and cardamom/clove are very present. Great throw and wear length.
-
Rosin, balsam and sandalwood. On wet, there's a whiff of lavender. This is sweeter than I expected. It's pretty much a sweet balsam and sandalwood blend. Would be very in line with the Shungas. Medium throw and wear length.

Honeyed frankincense with a whiff of ghostly dandelion (hiiiiii asphodel! how you!? it's been a minute). This asphodel overlay adds a certain mysterious quality to the honeyed frankincense, which is nice and smooth. So good. Medium throw and wear length.

UGH. I can't overstate my joy at this. It smells magical. It's got all of those pieces, and more. I get lavender and clary sage on wet, but then the patch, tobbaco, and myrrh come out and its just this lovely magical blend. If you're looking for a magical BPAL, this is it.

Dark frankincense, pepper, and cedar. It's a light cedar overlayed with frankincense and pepper, and occasionally I get a whiff of tobacco. Very masculine frankincense. Good throw and wear length.

On wet, this is a light sugary white rose with a resinous edge (hallo benzoin!). As it dries, I get more of the frankincense and balsam coming through. Honestly, it sort of going rosewoody on me. It's a nice, light scent on me. Good throw and wear length.
