This review is for the unused soap slice. This one is a Villainess soap base smell plus chilly white florals. Not sure it actually smells like Snow White, but I'll update this review once I have tested it in the shower! Given the age of this bar of soap, the smell is actually pretty strong.

FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH O Sanctissima, O Piissima Dulcis Virgo Maria Mater amata, Intemerata Ora, Ora Pro Nobis Somalian frankincense and Ethiopian myrrh. This review is for the unused soap slice. This one does smell resinous, but I can't tell either the myrrh or the frankincense apart. I am not sure if this is also a Villainess based soap, but I'll let you know how it does in the shower!Given the age of this bar of soap, the smell is actually pretty strong. ETA: In the shower, it smells slightly resinous but I mainly smell the Villainess soap base. As both this and Egg Nog smell almost identical.

This review is for the unused soap slice. The scent is what I'd term the Villainess soap blend with an egg-y custard plastic smell and a dash of nutmeg. Egg Nog does not work on my skin, and not sure that the soap slice will work either. But I'll try it out. Given the age of this bar of soap, the smell is actually pretty strong. I have found that while bars of soap seem to compact over time, probably due to loss of water weight (its like a prolonged curing as the shrink foil shows that the original size would have been - there's millimeter loss, but it is noticeable enough). I have found time to have some effect on the scent potency, but not necessarily on the lathering or any of the other soap uses. I have actually enjoyed all of the bars of the aged bars of soap I've used from Villainess. It's like fine wine. In the shower, it smells slightly like Egg Nog but I mainly smell the Villainess soap base. As both this and Frankincense and Myrrh smell almost identical.

This review is for the unused bar. The scent is what I'd term the Villainess soap blend with clove and a whiff of bay rum. Given the age of this bar of soap, the smell is actually pretty strong. This review is for the unused bar. The scent is what I'd term the Villainess soap blend with generous spices and mild ginger. Given the age of this bar of soap, the smell is actually pretty strong. I am not sure this smells like Shub the perfume, but it does smell spice and pleasant in its own way.

Cinnamon, pumpkin cupcakes with a touch of cream cheese. UGH. So good. I think I may keep this decant.

Super sweet fresh jam peach. Sweet, fresh, jammy peaches. Yup. That's it.

[No description given.] How has no one reviewed this yet? I get both a tart green apple, and sweet juicy peaches. It ends up as a sweet peach and apple atmo. The green apple does make me think more of the apple blossom. But yeah, its peachy, and appley, and sweet. This would be perfect for a young girl's room.
-
On wet, its full on rubber fake bananas. It dries down to a banana leaf, orange creamsicle, and a touch of juicy fruits. Unfortunately, it has almost no wear on me and is GONE after about 45 minutes. Medium throw while it still exists.
-
2017 version For me, the new Antique Lace is warmer. I get the dust and lace, but there's this gorgeous warm vanilla booze musk that it dries down to. Unfortunately, it has little to no throw on me. This may have to find a more loving home.

Cool, misty ocean spray, salty woods, and yeah, this smells like a beach house. A ghostly beach house in a misty, cold beach.
-
It starts of as smokey cigarettes, with an herbal background. And it smells like I'd imagine an incense shop or voodoo shop smells. This smells like this would be used for ritual purposes. As it dries down, I get a sweeter incense note, still slightly herby, but much more of a perfume smell. I am actually digging this one alot and will have to find at least a partial. UGH. So good.

I get coconut husk, patchouli, and musk. It smells pretty much like So Below did. Good throw and wear length.
-
From the 2017 version. This one starts as a very deep lemony lemon. On the drydown, I get more of the 'grass' or 'stalk' aspect of the lemon grass. But on wet, this was like a blast of lemon to your face. Good throw and wear length.

A Song: When June is Past, the Fading Rose

Soft roses, sandalwood, touch of lavender and cassia. This one is a soft, spring floral. It's actually very motherly in that cool, comforting way. Medium throw and wear length. -
Fresh strawberry sugar. I get a ton of sugary strawberries and a touch of green grass. It's very candy-like. Good throw and wear length. This is too sweet for me.
-
Honeysuckle, soft jasmine, touch of musk and milk. This is a very bright feminine floral. For those of you that love honeysuckle, I'd definitely try this one out. It smells spring-like.
-
Fizzy lime powder and a touch of plastic. How odd. Medium throw and wear length.
-
Leather, tobacco, and a touch of sandalwood. It smells like a more natural version of a black leather SN. A little more feminine. I can see those into leather blends being really into this blend. Good throw and wear length.
-
Sandalwood, champaca, and a touch of wood. Soft, woody, light brown in vibe. Soft sandalwood. Good throw and wear length.
-
Dark tobacco, nag champa, and a touch of juniper and oudh. This one is a little strange to me, and reminds me to Savage Forever. It's like a dark brown scent. Sort of animalistic. Not my type at all. Good throw and wear length.

Ascendancy (Spring 2017 Iteration)
zankoku_zen replied to VioletChaos's topic in Prosperity, Success, and Good Fortune
Again, from decanting. Why hello there. This one gave me warm tingly energy. It literally felt warm in my hand. The only other one that has ever done something similar is Scissors, but that was more like a burning fire brand, like I'm going to sear something closed. This one was more like a warm sunshine in your hand. But very directed. ETA: Its like grabbing a comet tail. Hang on, you're going somewhere. Not that I've ever grabbed a comet. But, yanno. ETA: May 2018 So I wore Ascendancy today with a purpose. I busted it out because I strictly felt as "NOT TODAY, SATAN". I had work that needed to get done, and rather not deal with some coworkers. Guess what - that big scary project? Not so big, not so scary. Banging it out pretty well and will have it done in two days. Those coworkers? Nary a peep. Admittedly, I've also put on a smidge of Dominion, because like I said, I definitely needed something that was GTFO MY FACE, I'm here to rock out, kick ass, and take names. -
Twilight Alchemy Lab’s Lust Formula 21 contains essential oils, absolutes, and CO2 extracts that are organically-grown and pesticide-free, and many of the oils’ components are first distillations from small farms. This oil was charged under the auspices of both Mars and Venus, and contains cubeb berries and essential oil, 18-year aged patchouli oil, patchouli leaf from the TAL garden, Himalayan cedar oil, musk seed, cardamom C02 extract, and honey. I have not tried this out for its intended purposes yet, but have decanted from it. On a quick impression this reminds me to a cross between Black Cherry Love Oil and Love Oil #7. But earthier, if that serves as a reference point. ETA: Actually worn, I get more patchouli and cedar from this. It is definitely a much more earthy blend than say Black Cherry Love Oil. As for the effects, they are potent, immediate, and as described.

Lemon, ambergris, and a touch of elemi. This smells like a fresh, citrus cologne. I'd probably want to track more of this down if it didn't disappear on my skin after three hours. However, utterly delightful.

Luarel, hemlock, mosses, and dark greens. Masculine aquatic. It smells dark, gloomy and green. And would fit really well into the Arkham line.
