Jasmine tea, mate, and a touch of something else that smells sort of smoky actually. It's a very nice jasmine-lite + tea perfume.
-
Coconut, orris, iris and a touch of pear. This is a white coconut, light florals blend. It's a very white, somewhat tropical, somewhat Asian blend. Soft, cuddly.
-
An explosion of gardenia and jasmine and tuberose. Super white floral attack. Great throw, and great wearlength. I can't handle how BIG and aggressive all the white florals are in this.

Oh god, Voodoo Queen is that you? Honestly, this pretty much in the drydown is like a dirtier, more patchouli version of Voodoo Queen. I get smoky clove, touch of resin, and dark musk. It's darker and grittier than Voodoo Queen, and it doesn't have the same intense throw that Voodoo Queen does. But you know, in a pinch, this actually would work very well. Especially since there isn't that much VQ running around. Sadly, this lasts maybe three hours on my skin, whereas VQ has longer staying power. At this point, its smelling like dark musk + patch blend, and less of the elements that made it very Voodoo Queen-ish. On the other hand, worth cellaring and busting this out in a year and seeing how this will smell. I bet it will age beautifully.

Peachy red wine with a hint of coconut. On the drydown I get more of the amber breaking through. Honestly, if anyone asked me this reminds me alot of the recent Peach from Dragon*Con with red musk in it. If you're fond of peach blends, like red wine and/or red musk, I'd give this a whirl. Decent throw and wear length. Peachy, red, sultry.

The Contrast! Honestly, I shouldn't love this so much. It smells like a cleaner version of Narkissos to me except resinous. Bright, sweet, and it oddly makes me also think of aged Belle Epoque. Will have to try this a little more, but this may be a winner for me.

Lemon citrus and incense. On wet, you get more of the lemon. As it dries, the citrus recedes, and I get a dirty sort of incense smell with a very clean laundry edge.

Honestly, I actually like this smell. It's dragon's blood, darkened by tobacco, hemlock, and cypress. It's darkly musk dragon's blood, which isn't typically a thing I'm into but I'm really quasi digging this. More importantly, I really do feel like it has certain TAL like qualities. I'm super happy to have a partial of this and use it in TAL workings.

Leather and honey. This is a very womanly leather blend. The honey definitely feminizes the leather. And I get that this is O doing leather, because that's a pretty spot on analogy. Sexy, sexy leather.
-
Rich and earthy incense. I definitely get incense, truffle, champa and leather. There's something that smells like aniseed/licorice. It's much more wearable than I was expecting. Decent wearlength, low throw.

Belgian Chocolate, Orange Blossom, Marshmallow, and Jasmine
zankoku_zen replied to miss_rynn's topic in Lupercalia
Orange blossom, jasmine on a bed of chocolate. This is the most floral of the Box of Chocolates for 2016. Orange, jasmine, and chocolate. -
Dark red wine, roses and a touch of myrrh and poppy. This one is a deeply sensuous red wine. The roses, myrrh, and poppy prevent it from just smelling like red wine. Decent throw, low wearlength though. Red wine, deep, brooding.

The Bride is a heady vanilla-ed magnolia and honey musk blend. It's beautiful floral musk. I can see why people really really dig this.

Deep, earthy cocoa, nutty woody chestnut on a base of patchouli. I don't get the honey straight up but it brings a sweetness to the deep/earthy chewiness of this blend. I actually really want to eat this as a bonbon and would love to have seen it as a bath oil.

Dragon's blood, fresh laundered sheets and honey. This smells fresh, clean and mildly soapy on me.

I am hoping this works out on the hubby, because its subtly manly sexy. I get vanilla, white sandalwood and leather. And it smells phenomenal. Decent throw and wear length. Definitely a masculine sandalwood/vanilla with a touch of leather. Dead on for sinister, sexy vanilla. UGH. SO GOOD. ... Wait, this is horrible, horrible, sinister vanilla. You'll all hate it. All of you. Just send your untouched bottles to me. I'll safely dispose of this.

Cascading Blossoms is a giant Hawaiian bloom of creamy gardenia, sweet white orchid and a touch of fragipani. It's gardenia goes on a giant tropical vacation. Huge throw and wear length. It's a little too much gardenia for me.

Leather, moss, patchouli. Hint of rose and vanilla to soften this up. This smells like a refined outdoorsy leather. And quite honestly one of the more interesting room sprays that the BPTP has had in my opinion. Beautiful, and yes, I agree withe the ambiguous vibe. I imagine this is what Marlene Dietrich would have preferred to smell like.

Resinous myrrh, with a trace of acrid gunpowder. This one is definitely a bit odd for me.

Dark Chocolate, Madagascar Vanilla, Haitian Vetiver, Benzoin, and Champaca
zankoku_zen replied to DiesMali's topic in Lupercalia
Dark smoky, chewy, chocolate. I get vanilla and definitely some incense on the drydown. -
Super smoky bitter vetiver, touch of tobacco and chocolate. Too richly smoky for me.
-
Oh god, I got acrid, sour oudh and then super stinky patchouli. This did horrible, horrible things on my skin chemistry. And yes, it had a GREAT throw. *HEARTBROKEN*

Lavender, cedar, and a touch of frankincense. This smells like a luxurious lavender blend. LOVE IT.
-
PEONIES! This smells like peonies, carnation, and a touch of honey. This one is sweet, heady peony heavy. WOW.
-
Green apple and gin! This smells fresh, clean, and green. This is really fresh and nice.
