Tropical apple, coconut and fig. This sort of reminds me to Snow White in vibe, but that's because I get coconut from both blends. Cool, tropical, apple.
-
Creamy vanilla honey and a touch of dead leaves. Good throw, good wear length. Sexy autumn leaves.
-
Mmm... Spiced apples with cinnamon, allspice and mulling spices. This smells like an awesome spiced cider. Good throw, medium wear length. And now I'm hungry.
-
Cedar wood, pencil shavings, graphite. And yes, this smells like a #2 pencil. So not so much a perfume, but an awesome scent experience. On the other hand, if you ever were to dress up in a pencil costume, this would make it super realistic.
-
Sage, beeswax, honey and a touch of myrrh. Green herbs and beeswax. Good throw, good wearlength. This smells like it should be a medieval ointment. For cuts and bruises. I'd be super happy if Tiger Balm smelled like this actually. Medicinal, herbs, beeswax.

Soft jasmine, oudh, and a touch of vanilla frankincense. It smells soft, homey and welcoming. Decent throw, and wear length. But it's still jasmine. Which is a no-no in the zee_zee house.

Dead Leaves, Black Pepper, and Sandalwood
zankoku_zen replied to agirlnamedfury's topic in Halloweenie
Dry spicy pepper, sandalwood, hint of leaves. This is almost masculine on me. Again, a very different take on the leaves, but not necessarily my style. Low throw thankfully, but good wear length. Dry, pepper, leaves. -
Dry leaves, touch of red musk, touch of orange. It's a nice musky leafy autumn blend. If you're into that sort of thing. Good throw, good wear length.
-
Apple, hay, vanilla. This one is an oddly apple + slightly floral sweet hay. Decent throw, decent wear length. I don't really get goat's milk.
-
Crisp red apple and black clove. In alot of ways, this reminds me to the Red Apple HG from NYCC. Big juicy red apple with murky clove. Good throw, decent wear length. For me, this would make an awesome room scent. Very autumnal. Red apple, clove, fall fresh.

The ghostly White Women of the Scottish highlands. They seduce unwary travelers by night with their unearthly beauty and mesmerizing dancing. They engage their victims in a wild, hypnotic dance, and once they reach exhaustion, exsanguinate their partners with their vampiric kiss. Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger. Has no one reviewed this yet? So Baobhan Sith is all the grapefruit and white tea you'd possibly want to love. I find grapefruit and white tea excellent summer notes, and in general, I prefer citrus/refreshing notes in bath products. The bath oil is of the standard that you love from BPTP, and Baobhan Sith does sort of remind me to Invidia, but perhaps less chilly and more straight up refreshing. LOVE IT.

Rich, chewy caramel tobacco and a pile of leaves. Its actually fairly masculine on me. Good throw, decent wearlength. Dark, tobacco, leaves.
-
Sweet red apple, with the red apple candy coating. It's very Yankee Candle-esque on me though, making me think of the Macintosh Apple. So, this would be an awesome atmosphere spray. YES.

Portrait of an Unidentified Man as Mephistopheles

I get aquatic oakmoss, the fougere and a touch of the red musk. This smells like a slightly dirty smoky men's cologne, slightly powdery on thee drydown. It literally smells NOT A NICE GUY. Medium throw, medium wear length.- 13 replies

Vanilla, touch of myrrh and the leaf note. It's exactly as advertised. Good throw, good wear length. I thought I would love this, but it's missing something for me.

A Holy Man Advises a Woman to Invoke Mary Against a Devil
zankoku_zen replied to HerbGirl's topic in Halloweenie
Blonde leather, white musk and neroli. This one is a sharp, citrusy overlay to some thin leather and musk blend. It's actually fairly "white" in vibe in my mind. Neroli, leather, white musk.- 12 replies

Smooth dark wood (teak), cognac and a drop of coffee. This one is dark, smooth and kinda slinky.

#137 So not the original owner. The individual that I swapped this wasn't sure but amped up the floral notes, and the original owner called it 'dark and sexy'. My take on this: Feminine black suede leather (on wet, I thought it may have been black musk), I think there may be some white musk in there actually, and then I get this floral note on top of the black leather which softens it a bit. I think the floral note may be violet, not entirely sure. I can't quite put my finger on it. On me, this smells like a cousin to Kunoichi. The leather note is softer and more suede like. Cuddlier even. The impression I get is of Kunoichi's younger sister. Younger, softer, but still deadly. For those that are fan of feminine leathers like Loviatar or Kunoichi would enjoy this. Oh man, I get the most amazing amber + leaves blend, with a touch of black currant. Sadly though, the patchouli adds a little too much dirt to the entire blend. And it becomes really noticeable in the drydown. BOO Amber, leaves, stinky patchouli.

French Lavender is fabulous. It's lavender with a bit of herbal greenness. Very provencal, french and definitely more like the lavenders we're used to smelling. Great throw and wear length.

Cherry Blossom SN is a bit of a rollercoaster. On wet, it reeks of clean detergent, febreeze in your face cherry blossom spray. It dries down to a nice, clean cherry blossom scent. Much more ethereal and sophisticated. But on wet, it smells super fake. It dries to a much nicer cherry blossom smell, but the first fifteen minutes are a bit hair raising. Good throw, decent wear length. I had Cherry SN on my other wrist as a comparison, and Cherry SN smells like a fruit, and the Cherry Blossom SN is definitely the floral blossom.

XXI This scent has made the rounds! On wet, I definitely get a slap of coconut and lime. And well, it stays pretty true to that. I get the best lemongrass and coconut scent ever. It really does remind me to BBW's Coconut Lime lotion. But better, way better. I hate coconut and savory smelling lemongrass isn't my thing, but ah, this is really good! I was expecting not to like this. But I am somehow digging the amber + fougere combination. Warm, cool, distant and charming. It's all amber based with a touch of fougere. Off to test on mr. zee_zee tonight!

So take the creepiness of Miskatonic University, throw in some Dead Man's Hand brown leather and papery Two-Ply Bristol with a liberal splash of India Ink. Have I made enough BPAL references for you yet? Good. You get something that smells like an old leathery grimoire. You know, the type of book that you happen to find in an antique shop in Barcelona, and its written like its the Voynich Manuscript and you just know its... well, not... all right. Brown leather, paper and ink. Masculine to me, but chilly. It smells ghostly.

From a lab labelled imp on card stock, so assuming a certain level of finality. Vetiver, plum, patchouli and a whiff of red roses. This is such a dark, sultry blend. In some ways, it reminds me to the Obsidian Widow. Just dark and deadly. Heady, womanly, dark.
