2014 version All Saints to me you're an airy resin with a touch of rose. It's pretty much sweet, slighly incensey with a touch of rose. Low throw and low medium wearlength. In fact, my skin ate this up after about 45 minutes. So, pass, since it doesn't seem to last.

2014 version For me, this was essentially brown sugar (brown, caramelized, sweet). It's warm, comforting, and essentially all sugar all the time. Decent throw and wear length. Sugar Skull has never been a fave of mine, but this one is softer and I'd say more wearable, at least to me. Is candy meant to smell comforting? Because this one does! Brown sugar, comforting, soft.

Giant blooming flowers! This is a ton of wisteria, hints of other flowers and a base of amber and frankincense. Giant throw, giant wearlength. This smells like a Southern plantation in autumn. If you can handle wisteria, which I can't, give this a whirl. Heavy, floral, wisteria.

2014 version Hay, gunsmoke and autumn. This smells like fairly masculine gunsmoke and hay. Good throw, medium wearlength. Two word summary: manly hay. Will edit this review after mr. zee_zee has tried it out.

White Witch to me is predominantly pomegranate, red roses, red musk. On wet, I get a touch of the violet, and as it dries the violet touch is supplanted by myrrh. This one seems like a complex pom blend to me. Decent throw, and average wear length. This is a deeply feminine blend. The kind of witch you know does magic, but only the good kind. There's something almost motherly about it but I think its the combination of red roses with the myrrh that makes me think of that. Pomegranate, rosy, womanly.

Oh, Black Silk... I just don't know what to do with you. On wet, you're vanilla sandalwood with patchouli and ambergris. You're dark, silky, and well, kinda slinky. You stick close to the skin, but whatever, you're lovely and maybe I just need to slather it on. Fifteen minutes later, you're gone. Like I put my nose against my skin and catch the barest inkling of patchouli. Seriously, where did you go? So, on one hand, super disappointed that you and I didn't work out. On the other hand, overjoyed since there are only 50 bottles of you out there in the world, I don't need to sit under a Tree of Despair , because you can never be mine.

On wet, this is a heavy bacon smoke vetiver. It dries to a smoky apricot with a touch of cedar and reminds me at this stage to the March Hare. Except with woods, and less foodie. Fall March Hare with woods.

Cedar, pepper and amber. This is a masculine autumn blend. Woodsy, with the black pepper giving it a dark and masculine edge. Low throw, semi medium wear length. I am surprised since I tend to amp up black pepper and it hasn't dominated the blend entirely. Woodsy, masculine, fall.

Sweet vanilla patchouli with a hint of honey. Medium throw. It's like Banshee Beat's little and softer sister. If you wanted an accessible and wearable patchouli, try this.

Cherry ring pops, vanilla frosting, and licorice. Super sweet, super foodie and playful.

A warm scent, as delicate as lace and as soft as cashmere, and as cozy as wool, punctuated with red currant for the blazing red of cochineal and surrounded a border of soft grey ambergris and a swirl of autumn leaves. Even if this just smells like damp leaves and fuzzy ambergris, this smells like knitting in the fall. The vibe and impressions are soft, cozy, and autumnal. There is a mildly cologne note to this blend. Soft, comforting, autumnal.

Sweet Potato Musk
zankoku_zen replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Gifts with Donation or Purchase
Sweet potatoes, brown sugar and a hint of cinnamon. Decadent. Decent strong and medium wear length. This is a very foodie, very comforting scent. Not my type of blend but if you're looking for a comforting blend without lavender, give this a whirl.- 24 replies

Grapefruit and ozone give way to tobacco flower and ozone. This one is a distinctively airy and ozoney blend. Slightly masculine, medium throw, low wear length. Tobacco flower, airy, cologney.

Candy corn, stale sugar and something that smells like vanilla plastic/beeswax. This one has low throw and medium wear length on me. On wet, it really smelled like candy corn and on the drydown the plastickyness of the waxy coating really comes through. I actually think I smell wax. Sugary, candy corn, fake.

For me, this is all about the allspice, clove and a touch of cinnamon. It does smell like pumpkin spice, but tends to veer toward the fall potpourri on my skin. Decent throw, and medium wear length. Sadly, I smell like a craftstore in autumn. Craftstores are awesome, but perhaps not to smell like them.

This is the same masculine, green-brown leafy note that dominates October. Or any of those "leaves" blends. It's less airy than October and smells more like dry, cracking leaves. Pretty decent throw, and longevity. Definitely masculine.

2014 version. This one is definitely more booze and sugar, especially on wet. As it dries, I get a hint of smoke and spice. It dries down to an almost sugary stale booze sort of smell with chilly air. Cold air, stale candy, stale booze.

Smoky woody bacon, why hello there vetiver you sly devil you. It dries down to a woodsmoke, almost peat-y, slightly pine woodsmoke. Very masculine. I wouldn't wear this as a perfume. But if you wanted to make a smokier, more werewolf appropriate, version of a more civilized blend out there, I'd use this for layering. Smoke, wood, ash.

2014 version Soft, rosy incense with a hint of smoke and currants. The incense is the type typically found in Latin American mass (ie - this smells very Catholic to me). Low throw, but decent wear length. Soft, catholic, incense.

2014 version Super strong leaves and aquatic wind dries down to a green, manly sort of musk with a touch of leaves. Decent throw, but yeah, definitely fairly masculine. I swear this smells like that Jimmy Choo blend with Kit Harrington in the front. So, if you would like to smell like the manly wind that caresses Jon Snow's flowing locks while he's on the Wall, give this puppy a whirl. Green, windy, masculine.

Cherry and dragon's blood with a heaping amount of sugar. Think crushed cherry candies swirled with dragon's blood. I'm sort of surprised how much I don't hate this considering it just cherries and DB. All you DB lovers out there, and if you loved Dragon's Milk - this has that same dragon's blood note but instead of creamy milk, its all crystalline sugar.

Oh man, Graveyard Dirt, we seem to have the same problem as we did with the previous incarnation. On wet, you're a moist, wet, dirty earth note. With perhaps a touch of clay. Low throw, but that's OK. 15 minutes later, you're GONE. Like you were never there. Graveyard Dirt has left the building.

Black Clove, Tobacco Flower and Grave Soil Hair Gloss
zankoku_zen replied to Lycanthrope's topic in Hair
UGH. Where have you been all my life? This smells like clove and tobacco flower, and I don't really get much of a grave soil. So my hair smells like I've been smoking clove cigarettes, but without actually having to smoke a damn thing. EPIC WIN, people, EPIC WIN. -
Eat Me hairgloss is more in line with the Eat Me atmosphere spray experience as opposed to the perfume. I get white cake and a touch of currant. But as stated before, I am not one of those people that likes smelling like cake. I mean, my hair smells delicious, but I keep trying to eat my hair. Which in an office setting is probably disturbing to see a coworker do this.

This is the quintessential BPAL cake blend (and honestly, how fabulous is it that its a GC!) but I'm more in line with asterope. Eat Me as a perfume never worked for me because it ended up too buttery. Eat Me atmo isn't buttery - its straight up white cake with a touch of currant and vanilla. Very foodie, very tasty, perhaps too tasty? I'm not a huge foodie fan, and when I do like foodie elements, I like them to be balanced with other types of notes. So, just because I'm not declaring my undying love, that doesn't change that this is a great atmosphere spray.
