    Blood Kiss Bonbon

Honestly, I think the original Blood Kiss works better on me. On this one, I'm amping up the vetiver, clove and cherry bits. But instead of getting along, which they do in the original BK, they are in an all out dragged out cat fight - kicking, spitting, screaming, throwing punches with rings on their fingers. Chocolate, if it ever was there, is MIA. And who can blame it really?

    Tweedledum Bonbon

This is mainly a fig, hazelnut blend with a hint of mango and white chocolate. It's not bad, but it is a little odd. If you like foodie/fruity blends, give this a whirl.

    Absinthe Bonbon

This is really absinthe with a hint of white chocolate. I get mainly wormwood, anise, hyssop and a hint of sugary white chocolate. Nice, but not my type of blend.

    Chocolate Espresso Gingerbread Bath Oil

This is amazing. Coffee, hints of chocolate and gingerbread spices. It's like a dark, spicy coffee. And a little goes a long way. While foodie, I think the coffee adds a bitter edge to the entire blend so that it isn't overwhelmingly foodie. I've tried Gingerbread Poppet and it was too foodie for me. I find that THIS however is just sweet enough, just on the right side of foodie without making you crave food. Comforting, delicious, bath stuff. You'll want to swim in it. FOREVER.

    Formula 57 Massage Oil

Vanilla with soft ylang yland and a brush of chamomile. Very luxurious, and very vanilla. Unfortunately the vanilla note is the type that tends to go plasticky on me. Usage: I tried this as moisturizer as opposed to massage oil, and its fabulous for that purpose. Very moisturizing, and absorbs relatively quickly. If the scent worked out, I would have used this as moisturizer instead of massage oil.

    Behind the Scenes Atmosphere Spray

Red wine, rose water, pomegranate and a hint of tobacco. This smells like Madrid! It's got a lush Burgundy smell with a dark sweetness. Very sensual, very boozy. Unfortunately, there is something that doesn't agree with mr. zee_zee's nose so this will have to have a happier home elsewhere.

    Koito and Sashichi

Green tea, wood and a hint of tobacco. This is again, very clean, green and fresh. The astringent green tea + woody notes makes this more gender neutral, but very appealing.

    Diversions in the Chashitsu

Juicy fruity green apple blossom, green tea with a touch of bamboo. So remember Annurca Apple Blossom SN? Yeah, this smells like that but deeper. If the apple blossom was given something to stand on. A bamboo base that was used in green tea ceremonies. If you liked the Annurca Apple Blossom SN, which I did, give this a whirl. You will not be disappointed.

    Treasure Ship Coming In

Sweet mint, hints of citrus and fresh mandarin zest. This is perhaps the mintiest blend to last on my skin. And yes, it is nothing short of epically gorgeous. If you're looking for a green/fresh blend along the lines of Wormwood Field, this is amazing. Honestly, this reminds me and gives me a jolt just like Exhibit Hall Fatigue oil, but whereas that is a bracing herbal mint/citrus combo, Treasure Ship is much more wearable as a perfume. Lovely.

    Thrice Toss These Oaken Ashes

Okay, not like All Hallow's Eve at all. AHE had a playful, candy apple note to it. This one is darker. It's tart apple, hints of apple blossom and ash. It has a more cooked apple vibe to it.

    The Expiration

Heavy red rose, hints of myrrh and sandalwood. For those of you that love lush red rose blends like Peacock Queen, give this a whirl. It's heavy red rose + a good dash of sensuality.

    Lovers in the Tea House

Oh man, I am really digging this. On wet, there's this slightly boozy note which combined with the incense and amber leads to a golden, redolent vibe. As it dries, I get sweetness, a hint of tea combining with the incense and amber. Subtle, sophisticated, amazing.

    Carp and Octopus

Green, salty aquatic. I get hints of sea buckthorn berry, kelp, green musk and elemi. It's white/green, aquatic, and very fresh.

    Three Impossible Errands Bath Oil

Lavender, geranium and hints of vanilla orchid. At the beginning, this seemed like a lite version of TKO, with a soft pillowy lavender. And then the other notes started to make a presence. Calming, herbal, lavender

    Halloween: New Orleans Atmosphere Spray

Wow. This is amazing. This smells slightly aquatic, mossy, but with with a peach blossom note and a douse of sweet tea. It's got some pretty big throw, and it smells like a cozy afternoon in the South. Floral, feminine, fresh.

    Mechanical Dragon Manufactory Atmosphere Spray

Gears, leather, incensey resins. This definitely smells steampunkish! And masculine! Warm spicy dragon's blood resin softens this metallic/leather like resin and I find it to be very evocative. This is the smell of a Victorian engineer's workshop. He's smart, dedicated, eloquent and not afraid of a little adventure in a dirigible. Whats not to love?

    Pyriphlegethonian Pomegranate Atmosphere Spray

This is dark tobacco and a bright pom note. I agree with hlinspjalda alot in the sense that it does a very Red Lantern vibe, whereas I found the caramel in Red Lantern to be overly sweet and overwhelming, I find the pom/dark fruit note in Pyriphlegethonian Pomegranate to balance the tobacco/patchouli notes without taking over. Essentially, this is smoky pom. And what Persephone would spray about in the Underworld to make it smell like a home. You don't forget its the Underworld, but its dark, cozy and beguiling pomegranates that lure you in for a spell.

    Pink Snowballs Bath Oil

Roses, almonds, and a hint of snow. It's pink, sweet and slightly foodie despite the rose.

    Wassail Atmosphere Spray

Cloves, cinnamon, and dark ale. It's Christmassy, comforting, and festive.

    Luna Negra 2013

Dark lavender, currant and a hint of amber. It's darkly fruity/lavender amber. Nice, but not for me.

    The Day Burned White

Okay, so I am a little disconcerted about this blend, but not because of what other people think of. This to me has a bitter watermelon top note to it on wet and in the viable- which adds a fruity aquatic quality, and then you smell the dense egg-based paint note, followed by talcum, moss, and dirt-dust note you get from an old and in the process of being demolished house. It's almost a plaster-dust note. As it dries, its more of the egg based paint, with again the plaster-dust, and the moss keeping the aquatic element. Throughout it all, it's all very WHITE. It's a white dust blend. And weird. I mean, do you really want to inhale the plaster-dust of an old, decrepit and possibly haunted house? It's like ghost cocaine. I'm pretty sure it just causes, well, demonic/poltergeist possession. So kids, now you know. This is your friendly Clive Barker/BPAL PSA. Don't snort the dust in an old *haunted* house, or you open yourself to otherworldly possession. Don't say you weren't warned. ETA: Edited for clarification purposes. I'm sure old dust, is well, just gross and you don't want to snort that either.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Question, anyone have a picture of the Lantern Ghost of Oiwa label? I vaguely recall it, and was just wondering about the colors. I just got a bottle from 2008 via a swap and am wondering if the label has faded a bit.

The Shining Dimple of Love Bath Oil

Gorgeous, but superlight. I get mainly vanilla with a hint of tea. This would take a great deal to scent a whole bath, but the scent sticks close to the skin, and the vanilla would probably layer beautifully with whatever lotion and/or perfume you chose to wear next.

    Eldrich Dark Bath Oil

Red musk, roses, and Snake Oil? In general neither of the three typically work for me, but this bath oil is soft, sexy, and distinctive. Now I understand what the fuss was all about during that first release.

Caramel Apples and Ancient Oaks Bath Oil

Jesus, this is beautiful. This is sweet red apples with a touch of woodiness that keeps it from being overly sweet. This is just mellow apples in autumn. MUST HAVE MORE.
