Ummm.... ketchup? I swear to god this smells like ketchup on wet. As it dries, the ketchup disappears and I get a sweet tobacco smell (sort of like the tobacco from Pinched), and hints of wool. Really, this does smell like sweet tobacco. Not sure I want to "smell" like tobacco (its a tad too realistic for me). But wow, what a scent experience!

Pink bubblegum, hints of tanning lotion and vanilla. Very sweet, very girlie, very bubblegum. Definitely not for me.
-
Baby lotion, hints of milk, cotton/linen, and juniper. It's clean, and fresh, and just... well odd really is the best way to describe it. It smells like it should be comforting and familiar (baby lotion, hint of milk, cotton/linen), but then with the juniper its like you realize you don't actually have a real baby... its more like a ghost baby. Simply, not normal. Like the boy equivalent of Alice. Alice to me was always a 'curious' scent. Norman is also a 'curious' scent, but with more 'ghostly' connotations, which makes sense since the concept of the characters is different. Cotton, creamy, curious.

Blithe Hollow smells like BPTP's Autumn Grove, except in perfume form. It's this Fall, green-ish dead leaves, hint of woods and a tinge of aquaticness from the cool air. I smell actually a good bit of maple in it, which bring some sweetness to the blend. It's actually a pretty awesome FALL blend in the GC line. It's fairly masculine on me, so for those of you looking for a Fall blend for your guy, I'd give this a whirl.

Apple shampoo (hello Apple Blossom SN!), linen, and a glob of ink (not the deep rich inkyness of India Ink SN, but like a little cousin of that). Salma smells like a nice nerdy girl. You know the type: clean, punctual, intellectual. I actually think this would appropriate for a little girl, something that smells clean and slightly floral without being completely generic. Especially if you want her to ask for science kits as opposed to another doll.

Black cherry, damp forest leaves, and a tinge of grape and smoke. On wet, there was a heavy 'cider' component that dissipates on me when dry. This totally smells like the fall though.

Again, I found the scent on this one to be very faint. But definitely smells like vanilla. I'm very intrigued to mix this with Opium Tar and see what I get. I am hoping for deliciousness!

I found this to be very light and it smelled slightly sour (not citrus or like mandarin), with hints of sandalwood. It was very milky and moisturizing, but the smell was very faint.

#157 Did I not review this previously? I thought I did. Smells like rich vanilla, (definitely foodiest on wet) and as it dries, I get a teensy bit of strawberry leaf. Delicious. -
Cinnamon and pumpkin pie. My skin eats this one up though, so after a while I can barely smell it. Nice and foodie.
-
EEK! Amber, teak, lotus and cream. In that order. It smells powdery. And intimate. No burning plastic, but it still not a combination that plays well with my skin.
-
White sugar, lemon sugar, hint of brown sugar, hint of plastic. There's a vanilla here that does not play well with my skin. ... HURRAY! I dodged a bullet!
-
Soft marshmallow and spicy pumpkin. Very foodie, very soft on the skin. I swear, the pumpkin has some cardamom in it. The pumpkin component is stronger on my skin than the marshmallow.

Kypria is definitely cinnamon and musk. For me, it smells like a smoky, woody cinnamon. There's an almost 'scorched' component to it - except that would imply that its horrible, but its not. It's this intensely smoky, woody cinnamon. Definitely not foody. Hints of musk after about 15 - 20 minutes, now that I can smell it. I'd sum this up as intense.
-
Innocently indecisive: white musk, banana, orange blossom honey, pineapple, and mint. BANANA! PINEAPPLE! HONEY! It's like a tropical honey attack. It's a bit overwhelming actually. But definitely in the vein of the Tiki Lounge blends.

Red, sweet, juicy fruit, with a dab of pink pepper. It's like SWEET BERRY POWER. And smells mildly like a strawberry shortcake doll.

Cleric + Lawful Rose, rhubarb and woods Cleric + Halfling Foodie rosey resin. Paladin + Lawful Powdery lawfulness Paladin + Halfling Pencil shavings + cookies Mage + Evil This smells like a deeper, more resinous Evil. It has a level of sweet resins that Evil didn't have Mage + Chaotic Spicy Mage. However, this emphasizes some of the woodier components.

Champagne SN, no joke. I mean, it's that sweet sparkling champagne note from all of the BPAL champagne perfumes. Except in bath form. So if you ever wondered what it would be like to bathe in champagne, I'd give this puppy a whirl. Not entirely sure at this point it would be more economical than bathing in real champagne. It probably would leave your skin more fragrantly scented.
-
Honeyed carnation. You love carnations, you love honey, I'd suggest you bathe in this sucker. It's the same fresh carnation note as Spanish Carnation SN, tempered with a good drizzle of honey and a dab of bitter orange.

Sweet, fruity berries. Bright, happy, zingy. ETA: On wet, I can smell the plums and hints of berries. As that smell dissipates a little in the shower, I can definitely smell the mango more. Once toweled off, my skin smells more like a combination mango with hints of plum and pomegranate. Very candy like.

Subtle pine, clean florals and chilly minty green. This is sort of a pine forest on a cool, crisp autumn morning. We like the pine smell at home, particularly for a room blend. Comparing this to Winter Wind, Fae Forest is more delicate and less Christmassy.

Singing Moon is misty, aquatic, and manly. If you were looking for a fresh, aquatic cologne blend for that special guy in your life, I'd definitely recommend Singing Moon 2012. It's like Blue de Chanel, minus the metallic and alcohol notes. Fresh, green, hints of sea spray, hints of ambergris. Rich, perfumey, manly. This is what BPAL mermen smell like. You know, with that salt water dripping off a six pack, long hair, and a penetrating gaze before they lure you into some sort of watery tryst. And let's face it, you want to be reeled in by this sexy aquatic.

Amending my review, since I think I inadvertedly tested PP32005. So this one is pumpkin + amber. It's got a very heavy pumpkin feel, very foodie, and very reminiscent to Pumpkin Queen. It's got a light sugary brush to it, and I would categorize it as definitely a foodier, sugarier version of Pumpkin Queen. Pumpkin foodie lovers, take note.

Okay... broken noses all around. I am now nominating CHKX27 as one of the hardest to pin down BPALs. Ever. I'm going to completely disregard the previous two commenters, and the seller who dubbed this peanut butter/chocolate. On wet, this was mostly a nutty/almost oatmeal kinda blend (I can see the peanut butter reference from this). And as it has dried down, it has that brown sugar, slightly syrupy, slight cinnamon tinge to it. But I definitely get more of an oatmeal. Do I detect a tiny whiff of raisin? It's a distinct possibility. This is a slightly sweet, slightly foody, slightly sugary blend. I actually find it very comforting. And it does smell delicious. In the same way that a well made bowl of oatmeal - you know the kind, dollops of cinnamon, sugar, cream, - for breakfast is. It's a blend that sticks very close to the skin on me.

Not a true RPG combo, but I had to try Lawful + Spanish Red Carnation SN: The carnation SN is still dominant, but the lawful brings a touch of sweetness and added woody complexity to it. It's less spicy, and I think I get a hint of rhubarb. Lawful + Annurca Apple Blossom SN: So the woodiness in the Lawful grounds the Apple Blossom, and tempers it. The Apple Blossom's fruitiness brings out more of the fig leaf. It ends up like a more complex, woody Apple Blossom. I quite like it!
