Green grass, lilies. And probably some moonflower and jasmine. It's very floral and powdery on wet, but as it dries, it dries to a very watery soapy floral. It's very soothing scent wise. I'll edit this post with the effects later.

This one reminds me to a more summery Snow White. Cool coconut, brush of tropical lush florals. It's a little too coconutty for me, but I am not a coconut fun and even I'm delighted at how pretty this is.

This is a soft masculine amber musk. I get loads of musk (same note as in Left His Nurse) but with amber and DBR, striking a warm amber. Tiny whiff of lavender. Hmmm, I think mr. zee_zee might have to try this one on.
-
Sour sour rose. It smells like nail polish remover on me. PASS.

This one is not something I expected. I guess I thought it would be sleazier? On me, it's got a faint and plasticky chocolate overtone, skin musk and just... well, smells like plastic. Pass.

This Saturnian herb possesses a deep mossy scent that, when crushed, emits a vapor redolent of woody oranges. Woody, slightly orangey musk. Very masculine. I was hoping for a lighter scent, but the catnip is ominous. It probably the catnip that the Yule Cat likes to frolick around. Instead of mellowing him out, it's like an HP potion, except for its evilness. Yes, this is the catnip for evil kittehs.

Durian Fruit Infused Honey with Brandy
zankoku_zen replied to angelicruin's topic in Limited Editions
Strong fruit booze plus honey. As it dries it becomes much more honey dominated except this isn't the kind of honey that works for me. Oddly enough, it reminds me to O minus the amber. -
Again, another darker blend - but less bruising than Mr. Vandemar. There is a musky resinous base, a touch of something light (could that be you porcelain?), and the benzoin adds a little sweetness to the blend. Not to say that this isn't masculine, but it's less brutish than Mr. Vandemar. Perfect for Mr. Croup.

I get a very masculine blend - with black sandalwood, black pepper and something musky. Just a touch of metal that livens it up. But in general, very hulking, very bruising.

Oooh! Fruity white wine spritzer. It's fun, fresh, fruity and light. It ends up a little too sweet on me, and I think this may have some lychee.
-
Doll's eye infused honey. Bitter marigolds and honey. BAAAH.

Agreed with all the reviewers above. The chocolate is less intense, and much more of the milk chocolate kind. The Snake Oil definitely dominates for me, and it has more vanilla than spice for me. I am not a huge fan of sweet blends or Snake Oil but I found this more wearable than the released version.

This one is a lovely dark peach, that is ruined for me by the coconut, which is unfortunately going to plastic on me. SAAD.
-
Honey sweet opium and slightly sour rose powder. The opium in this is glorious, and I think I may actually be an opium fan. Hmmm.
-
This smells like maple syrup to me. The brown sugar is seeming to beat everything else into submission. Which makes me sad, since I was hoping for some plum/clove goodness from this.

So on wet it is definitely COCONUT. The kind that you find in suntan lotion. It dries to a more realistic coconut, with pinches of sugar and pepper. The pepper really grounds this blend on my skin. I am still not a coconut fan but I find the drydown more bearable than on wet.

This really reminds me to the April 07 13 blend. I get chocolate and loads of chai tea spices. I would even go to say that the lager is made with OATS as opposed to traditional hops because I get a powdery/oatmeal smell underneath the chocolate and chai tea spices. Yummy, but it makes me ultra hungry.

Dark gleaming champaca, musk and something spicy. It reminds me alot of Schwarzer Mond. Slightly masculine, dark spicy musk.
-
Green! I definitely get the berry on wet, and as it dries, I get more of the cinnamon and clove. This smells like cinnamon clove honey. Pretty, but not my type at all.
-
Hemlock to me smells very similar to what Little Bird says: sage-like notes and medicinal eucalyptus. It's strong, but honey is also a strong note on my skin. It's like an herbal menthol honey, so yes, it does smell medicinal. In the background I get the tiniest smidge of something that smells spicy - sort of like all spice. Unfortunately, the honey is the type that smells like funk on me. Boo.

This is sweet green grass (same note as in Green Party) and a good bit of lemon balm in it because it has a bright lemon note that holds on my skin and is yet slightly herby. It does have the same 'airy' note as Host of Air. Smells fresh, green with slight muskiness. I feel its slightly masculine, and for those guys that like chypre type blends.

IXHV4 is definitely coffee - I get loads of roasted coffee. It's darker and less sweet than the one in Misk U, definitely lighter and sweeter than the one in Bah! I think it may have a drop of cream in it because there is just a tiny whiff of plastic to it. Strong, sweet, very unisex. I can see why this is so coveted, even if I don't find it personally wearable.

I think Belshazzaz actually has some blueberry in it - because on wet, it kinda reminds me to blueberry sweet tarts. I've found out that BPAL's blueberry smells more like blueberry candy than actual, fresh blueberries (sort of the way grape candy, well doesn't really resemble real grapes at all but we associate it with grape anyway). As it dries, I get more of the red wine, clove and I would say also some cassia. I'm not a red wine/booze girl, but the addition of the spices makes this mighty tasty!
-
I get a lot of pineapple on wet, but it dries to a super boozey cherry scent. Not my type of deal, but if you can handle booze, this one is a sweet one to try out!

I have to say that Mum Moon didn't work for me - but I do smell cinnamon, opium, perhaps a hint of clove and plum as well and vetiver. I find this more wearable than Mum Moon, which was incredibly bitter on me. But there is a trace of bitterness there that does make me think of chrysanthemums. It's is a 'firey' blend and yes, I do think feathers as well. It's a very very interesting blend.
