A glittering diadem of golden amber suffused with crushed greenery, stone accord, and brown musk, elemi, rice milk, and vanilla bean, storax, patchouli, and vetiver, frankincense, Mysore sandalwood, and myrrh.

Sweet smoky clove. If you were worried about the vetiver, fear not. This is mainly sweet clove on me. Huge throw, average wear length. After about an hour, the throw is much much less, but it could also be that my nose is used to it.

Very much pink pepper dominant, but you get a whiff of tonka on the drydown. But if you wanted an exemplar of pink pepper, this is it. Medium throw and wear length.
-
This is mainly a cacao single note on wet, and as it dries, I get a very red berry jam on the drydown peeking through the cacao. Medium throw and wear length.
-
This smells like a green citrus with a touch of musk. Slightly powdery. Medium throw and wear length.
-
I mainly get a mango SN with a whiff of green tea. You ever ordered mango flavored green tea? This is heavy on the mango, light on the green tea aspect. Medium throw and wear length.
-
This is basically a fresh pomegranate note. I think the juniper really amps up the fresh green notes, but it smells like you cut into a fresh pomegranate. Medium throw and wear length.

Plum, and what smells like the best shampoo I've ever smelled in my life. Good throw, medium staying power.

This cream note does not work for me. I get a synthetic cream and a whiff of pear, but it smells sort of plasticky to me. It's got almost no staying power on me. After about 10 minutes, I can barely smell this.

I get a very green violet and hints of both plum and grapes, and it ends up coding as a resiny sort of cola because thank you benzoin, and dries down to a sort of green oakmoss benzoin and labdanum swampy resin. Medium throw and wear length.

Be patient and tough: clary sage essential oil, rue essential oil, steam-distilled vetiver root, white oak bark, and white sage from the TAL garden. I grabbed this out of instinct and didn't realize what it was until I dabbed it on. I get oak, sage, and vetiver from it as a smell. But more importantly, I get this nice earthy feel. It reminds me to both Aegis and Silva actually. It's like an Old Spice commercial. Look down. Back up, where are you? You're a mighty oak, planted firmly in the ground, and despite the slashing rain and the howling winds, you bear the brunt of the fury. You have weathered worst storms. You will weather this. What do you smell like? Back at me. It's a mix of sage, which you know drives those dark negative forces away, rue, which has been used in magical rituals since antiquity. It does wonders for your resilience, knowing you can count on yourself. Look again. The sage is now white oak bark which the mighty Jupiter himself has gifted you as protection. You have weathered worst storms. You will weather this. You will endure.

White pear, white champaca, pink grapefruit, and effervescent white musk.

This oil is a protection that stems from your own personal and intimate connection with the divine. This is the flame that banishes the shadows. Enflame the oil with prayer. Golden vegetal musk and golden oud suffused with Australian sandalwood essential oil (Santalum spicatum), bay laurel essential oil (Laurus nobilis), ethically-harvested frankincense essential oil (Boswellia carterii), palo santo essential oil (Bursera graveolens), lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopogon citratus), organic fennel seed (Foeniculum vulgare), organic ginger root (Zingiber officinale), grains of paradise (Aframomum melegueta), organic marjoram leaves (Origanum majorana), organic goat’s rue (Galega officinalis), sweet marjoram essential oil (Origanum majorana), Spanish marjoram essential oil (Thymus mastichina), organic fair trade cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum), coconut oil, devil’s shoestring, blue chalcedony, and lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), blessed thistle (Cnicus benedictus), black snakeroot (Cimicifuga racemose), and bay leaves (Laurus nobilis) from the TAL garden, plus bay leaves from Louisiana that were gifted to us by a dear friend.

To me, this is in some ways like the equivalent to the Heirophant reversed. This is like being able to take on a foreign metal armor and know that you can power it through your own energy source a la Tony Stark. It's not infinite, but its also not small. It has heft and breadth, and shines with an otherwordly light. This will also will enforce boundaries - internal and external.

A kingdom at peace requires a sovereign at peace. This is an oil of finding serenity, invoking the peace of mind necessary to make prudent choices. The Eye facilitates achieving and maintaining a level head, and crafting the equilibrium necessary to govern yourself, your life, and your kingdom with calm, mercy, and wisdom. Sri Lankan clove essential oil and bud (Syzygium aromaticum), kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum), French dandelion root and leaf from the TAL garden (Taraxacum officinale), nutmeg essential oil (Myristica fragrans), lotus root (Nelumbo nucifera), Egyptian lotus petals (N. nouchali), blue lotus absolute (Nymphaea caerulea), hyssop essential oil and leaf from the TAL garden (Hyssopus officinalis), ethically harvested palo santo essential oil and bark (Bursera graveolens) and sandalwood (Santalum spicatum), passion flower from the TAL garden (Passiflora incarnata), Macedonian juniper berries and essential oil (Juniperus communis), and wild clove bud (Eugenia caryophyllata).

My experience for the Eye is definitely colored by my particular Jupiter-Mars placement (I have Jupiter and Mars conjunct), so Jupiter activations can often result in a more fiery Mars experience for me. With that caveat, the Eye is much more of a firestarter than Turbulent Flow or Outflow Boundary. Clearly influencing my Jupiter influences my Mars, which means it ends up very action oriented. To quote Tina Turner "What's love gotta do with it? Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?". Less emotional, much more cutting. Sovereignty expressed.

It is an oil of patronage that supports the arts and artists: use it to bring in clients and benefactors to support your endeavors. It is an oil of inspiration: rather than simply inspiring you, this oil helps you create art that inspires others. It is an oil that attracts like-minded people to your sphere: use this oil to attract talented, creative, witty, and eloquent partners, friends, and allies. This oil was inspired in part by Eleanor of Aquitaine’s court at Poitiers.
