Autumn hay, wood, and frankincense. Very gender neutral to slightly masculine. Honestly, this smells like the best roll in the hay. Would definitely roll around in the hay with someone who smelled like this. Medium throw and good wear length.

Soft creamy marshmallow and a whiff of strawberry candy. Sadly, this almost has no throw or wear length on me. My skin just eats this up.

Peach skin, sandalwood, oakmoss. This one reminds me to a very fresh peach skin. There's something subtly naughty about biting into it. Great throw and wear length.

Jasmine, lilac, labdanum and cassis. This smells like a dark purple floral. You get lilac and jasmine as the most intense florals, but the resinous labdanum adds both sweetness and a base, and cassis is there to turn everything purple. It makes me think of Dior's Poison in vibe if not necessarily in smell. In that this is a sophisticated dark floral perfume. Sultry, sexy. Good throw and wear length.

Aloe, sweet frankincense and sandalwood. This is a light aloe and woodsy scent, with the frankincense adding some body and sweetness. Medium throw and wear length.

A four-alarm fire made of bold faced lies: bullshit-brown patchouli aflame with red ginger and pimento, sugared with the poisonous false promises of a racist autocrat, soured by hazard-yellow lemon rind. Proceeds from the sale of this perfume blend will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union. Orange pez, hints of ginger and pimento, with a whiff of patchouli on the drydown. This is one is sort of fiery orange. It's actually not a bad blend, but I can also see why this smells sort of like a fake suntan oil. Medium throw and wear length.

[No additional description provided.] Dead Leaves and waxy sweet pumpkin spice. I really don't get candy corn per se from this but its' a very Fall blend - pumpkin spice, dead leaves, sugary. Medium throw and wear length.

Our sister shop, Black Phoenix Trading Post, opened its doors on February 13, 2005! On that shiny, fateful day, Teddy opened the shop with one single item: the BPAL-branded “Established 1350AD” shirt. Carnaval Noir, the precursor to Carnaval Diabolique, went live in 2005, along with the first 13. In 2005, we hosted our first Los Angeles Lunacy event, and Winter of 2005 brought us Black Phoenix Trading Post’s first Inquisition – Naughty or Nice. This is also the year that I did my first “love potions” class, which was basically a fireside kegger with essential oils. We vended at our first convention, Convergence 11: San Diego, and Brian and I drank a lot of gin at our booth. Like, a lot. Lesson learned: don’t drink a shitload of gin while vending. A spurt of 13’s omnipresent cocoa staining a Trading Post-inspired leather accord – reminiscent of tight black leather pants – and more than a splash of gin. GIN GIN GIN GIN. This is basically if I doused myself in a bottle of gin, and after about an hour, I get a pinch of cocoa and a touch of leather. The leather gains prominence as the gin dies. But on wet, its all GIN all the time. Which I sort of enjoyed. I do not enjoy black leather. Despite its repeated attempts to love me. Great throw and wear length.

Chocolate, raspberry mousse, touch of blueberry, and a cookie base? I think this is the chocolate that smells the most like a chocolate bonbon, traditional fruit filling. Good throw and wear length.

Banana Cream, Black Coconut & Raw Chocolate
zankoku_zen replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Lupercalia
Coconut, banana, and dusty chocolate. I have to say that on wet, this is mainly a screeching fake banana top note. After two minutes, the coconut rises and attempts to wrestle the banana into a more peaceful coexistence. Chocolate rides up to referee the match. Now, its almost as if they are having a civilized boxing match. Great throw and wear length of course. -
Honey cream, honey dust, and milk chocolate. I swear, I ate a honey comb chocolate bonbon like this at one point in my life, and now I want it again. If only I remembered the maker!

Dusty dark cocoa, and a whiff of oak bark on the drydown. I am amping up the dusty cocoa, but you can smell the wood underneath. Pleasantly gender neutral, and not too foodie. Good throw and wear length.

Take Rose Red (the kind that is apple green stem and red rose) and dust her with some cacao. And that's what you get. Rose Red for the Yules has come out to play for Lupercalia. If you love Rose Red, give this one a whirl. She's waiting on a valentine. Great throw and wear length.

A harvest scent, bright and hopeful: hay and honey, apricot rind, white amber, apple peel, chrysanthemums, and oak.
-
"In essential things, unity." A perfume to strengthen our bonds to one another for support in trying times: sweet patchouli, oakmoss, red oud, guiac wood, mahogany, and honeyed vetiver.

Spring florals (ylang ylang and camellia), vanilla musk, and a whiff of aquatic that codes as "air" in this blend to me. This smells like the hope of spring, and first love, and would be a fantastic pick for a bride to wear on her special day. Medium throw and wear length.
-
Roses, incense, wood, and nostalgia. This smells like roses and memories. Luxe, but no longer at its first blush. Time is the cruelest mistress. Good throw and wear length.
-
Rose, sandalwood, and fizzy cola. The labdanum is sparkling and fizzy, and you smell the rose and sandalwood underneath. Actually, this would be great for a flapper or the 1920s costuming. Good throw and wear length.
-
Cherry, fig, and red musk. This is a red cherry musk and fig blend. Great throw and wear length.
-
Tobacco, incense, and a whiff of rice milk. Its more subtle, the rice milk tames the chewy fumes of the tobacco. It's a very subtle tobacco blend on me. Stealthy sexy. Good throw and wear length.
-
Lotus, orris, shimmering cream and a whiff of musk. This is a super pearly scent on me. It's got shimmer and creaminess like a pearl. Pretty much take a pearl, turn it into perfume. Perfect for mermaid lovers. Low throw, average wear length.
-
Honey, hay, and brown musk. This one is a fuzzy, happy, comforting brown musk. You say oxen, but it makes me think horses. Its the smell of a nice warm animal. Good throw and wear length.
-
Manly aquatic. Sea, salt, and wood. Smells like a manly sea musk. Great throw and wear length.
-
Beeswax, honey, and a whiff of lemon. So yes, honeyed beeswax and lemon. Lemon Scented Sticky Bat flew into a beeswax puddle. Good throw and wear length.
-
White musk with a whiff of cherry blossom. It's definitely a cherry blossom/white musk blend. Low throw, good wear length.
