Samhain '09 is my favorite EVER! Being new to BPAL, but an avid forum reader, I had read about previous editions of Samhain and knew I had to try this year' version. I can't name a single note, except patchouli, but I love the spicy woodiness of the scent. The first time I wore it to work someone said it reminded them of an ashram they stayed at in India. I find the autumn association very cozy too. I think I've ordered three bottles already!

I love me some peppermint so it was with Yule glee that I ordered this scent. It does not disappoint! It is just what I wanted, cool, refreshing peppermint. And my skin eats it also in five minutes. I'm going to try it in the clocket and see if that helps.

To me Event Horizon screams purple!

I received my Samhain 09 last week and have already ordered two more bottles I love it so much! I was nervous because I generally loathe strong patchouli but in this blend it is not a dominant note. This seems so well blended I can't distinguish any single notes. A coworker said this scent reminded her of the incense in her old ashram in India. To me it is a spicy autumn incense fragrance that is hugely long-wearing, unlike most of my other BPALs. Definitely a winner for me!

I must have very different chemistry because I get all toffee and burnt coffee! The burnt smell keeps the whole fragrance from being too cloyingly sweet. I like it!
