    Shill

Seriously...what the hell. I cannot smell anything in the bottle or on my skin other than a weird synthetic/greasy/weird salty note. This is possibly the biggest disappointment of the year. I was so looking forward to buttery-popcorn ecstasy but it wasn't meant to be :'(

    Teatime in Roswell

When I first learned of Teatime in Roswell, I wondered: "How well will Earl Gray Tea, cake, and cucumbers combine with one another? "Well, I got my answer today and the answer is they blend together very well! In the bottle: cucumber and cake. Smells yummy so far. Wet on skin: cucumber and cake...still. But now there is a subtle citrus note in the background. No tea notes just yet. Dry down: cucumber, citrus, cake, and...some sort of creamy note? An hour later: sweet cucumber. No tea notes at all, but that's ok. This blend is just fine with the cake and cucumber alone. Overall: The only quarrel I have with this blend is that it doesn't last long on the skin - I've had it on for an hour and it's almost disappeared- and it has practically no throw. Other than that, it is refreshing and foody but not too foody. I like the the cucumber takes over and the cake gives the blend and subtle, sweet undertone. Thanks dixiehellcat for this bottle!

    Bliss

I am yet to find a scent that smells like real chocolate and this is definitely not an exception. To me, it smells like chocolate scratch and sniff stickers from the days of yore or really generic chocolate lip gloss.

    Ultraviolet

In the bottle: Mouthwash/Listerine. I was almost too scared to put it on o_o Wet on my skin: Still that chemical mint scent with a hint of violet in the back ground. And is that pollen I'm smelling? There's a note in there that smells just like a freshly-picked pollen-y flower. Drydown: Mint, mint, mint. Not a pleasant mint but a harsh mint but not quite chemical anymore. 1 hour later: The mint is gone. And I'm left with violets that don't agree with my chemistry at all. Overall: I picked this scent mainly for the mint note. Unfortunately, the mint note disappears quickly and I'm left with a floral. Not a scent I enjoy or will wear again. Swap pile

    Squirting Cucumber

Such a fresh scent! It does smell like cucumbers but just a bit greener. Best of all, it stayed true on my skin...no hideous twists or turns I just might need a big bottle of this.

    Nuclear Winter

To my nose, this is Crimson Christmas -mint and ozone- without the smoke note and a little spearmint added in with the icy peppermint. I can say for sure that I like this better than Crimson Christmas though. This scent reminds me of a freezing, winter night spent out doors that seems to drag on infinitely which doesn't offer any warmth, comfort, or sanctuary. Simply freezing cold that cuts to the bone and has no mercy. The ultimate in isolation, emptiness, nothingness, and loneliness all mixed with pain. Overall, this is a lovely scent but also a bit creepy; maybe because I have a phobia of being alone and isolated.

    Geek.Goth

Possibly the "brightest" scent I've ever smelled. Not quite sweet, in my opinion, but very citrus. Smells like straight-up lemons and limes with some carbonation. I like it!

    Omen

Oh WHOA. Dark and mysterious is right. This stuff is awesome in a dark and mysterious sorta way. The moss and the patchouli really stand out. I just love it. 5 ml bottle, here I come!

    Whitechapel

Jack the Ripper all the way! In the bottle: Lime and citron!!! Two of my all-time favorite notes. Brilliant, charming, and handsome. Wet on the skin: The citron remains but my beloved lime has disappeared The lavender made it's debut at this point. Dry-down: The same as when wet, only it's taken a weird turn. There's something dark and sickening under the citrus and lavender. Vetiver? No. Eh.. I have no idea how to explain it. It has lost it's charm and has turned ugly. Half an hour later: Musk, lavender, and lilac. A very traditional, but lovely blend. The dark undertone is gone (thank God) and Whitechapel returns to a sophisticated blend. Verdict: A lovely, stately scent, but not one I'd wear on a regular basis since the lime disappears so quickly.

    Eat Me

In the bottle: vanilla! A yummy, sweet vanilla cake with just a hint of berry. On the skin, wet: Still mostly vanilla cake but you can smell the distinct current notes. Delicious so far! Dry-down: Current takes over. The vanilla cake note becomes subtle. Half an hour later: Yummy fruity currents with a creamy vanilla background. Over all, this reminds me of a jelly roll. Delicious and sophisticated. I'll be buying a bottle of this

    Detestable Putrescence

mmm pure french vanilla right out of the bottle. On the skin, it mellows out a bit but it retains that french vanilla "bite." I like it but it's not something I'd wear on a regular basis.

    Leather

Tintagel has leather and it's glorious but I'll have to say that Mutant Hot-Rodders from Hell High and De Sade are my ultimate leather indulgences

    El Dia de los Reyes

Oh my GOD. I could marry this scent...I love it that much. In the bottle, it is purely chocolate. Ahhh sweet, beautiful, perfect chocolate with just a hint of coffee and brown sugar. On my skin, the coffee takes the lead and the cinnamon makes it's grand entrance. A totally perfect foody scent!! Love love love....
  14. Thanks, Gwydion. I thought I had read somewhere on the forum that Snake Oil and Black Lace are similar. Perhaps I misread. Thanks for setting me straight. not at all, really.

    Nyx

Jasmine, myrrh, and rose are definitely not my notes but I wanted to try this anyway (trying to make myself like florals .) The myrrh is very strong in the bottle, as is the rose. On my skin, the jasmine becomes a little more evident but the myrrh and rose remain. As with most resinous scents, this has a far throw and it lingered on my skinfor many hours. Sadly, I don't think I can bring myself to like this. Nyx will be relocated to a new home as soon as possible.

    Velvet Tiger

Spiced Satsuma orange, tangerine, rich amber, black licorice, teak, cinnamon, and vetiver. This scent would have so much potential if vetiver weren't in the mix. The only note I can detect is vetiver. No orange, cinnamon, licorice, or anything else. Just vetiver. I think I'd be happy if vetiver was never used in another blend ever again.

    Tin Foil Hat

Am I the only person who thought this smells like hair spray? Not my cup o' tea.

    Illuminati Cotillion

I was so hoping to like this scent but really, I should have known better. Most blends with rose aren't kosher with me. In the bottle, the incense and wood notes are strong. It reminds me of church. The wood of the pews, the incense being offered, the really boring long wait for the service to end so we could go home and have Sunday dinner. While this is tolerable, it's not my favorite. I can live with it. But once it hit my skin, the rose came out in full force. BLAG. Resins + rose + my skin = a hot mess. Swappadoodles

    Dorian

Oh Wow! I received a decant of this from Ralenth (yer the greatest!) and was totally delighted once I caught a wiff of it. In the bottle and wet on my skin, Dorian is purely vanilla. A very comforting vanilla with hints of tea and musk. Once it dried down, the scent because very subtle and the vanilla and musk were equally present. This is absolutely a comfort scent. Like wrapping up in a blanket and having a cup of tea. The only problem I have is the scent doesn't last long on my skin. Definitely want a bottle of this!

    Alien Invasion

Lime jello with some kind of weird spice in it! That's exactly what I thought of when I opened the bottle. It smells even more limey on my skin and then fades to a lovely spicy/light citrus aroma that is hard to describe. I have to agree with Lamia. To me, there was no I Married a Vampire from Planet X (in my top 10 as well )in this scent, but it's in a category all it's own. It's a new fave.

    Splatter Comedy

This scent makes me feel like I'm going to chunder. I intensely dislike the smell of bananas. The only thing worse than the smell of bananas is the smell of artificially sweet banana Runt-style candy. That is exactly what I got the minute I opened the bottle. When it was on my skin, the pie crust notes were a little more evident but the disgusting banana remain dominant. There is just a hint of grease in the background. It's just gross. Swaaaaap

    Now Winter Nights Enlarge

In the bottle: purely nutmeg. On my skin: a lovely, spicy, warming blend of nutmeg, ginger, and musk. There was no caramel for me but this scent is beautiful. It is warm, satisfying and comforting. This scent reminds me of cuddling up in your home on a winter's night and spending time with family. I love it!

    Monster Bait: Tokyo Stomp

Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. That is the very first thing that comes to mind when I smell this either in the bottle or on my skin. Tokyo Stomp is a bright, happy scent. Reminds me of my Girl Scout days.

    Zombie Apocalypse

Cherry Pie with a sugary crust. And while I do like eating cherry pie, I don't like smelling like cherry pie. So this shall be swapped.
