If I'm in the wrong place I apologize in advance. So I finally got around to sniffing and testing my Pumpkin IV 2009. It seems to smell more like what V should. Lots of hazelnut and chocolate no clove or tobacco. Has anyone ever gotten a bottle with the wrong scent? Not sure what to do, any ideas? Anyone else get a bottle of IV that's odd?

XCIV Very sweet honey and clove, a touch of cocoa or a dark vanilla, maybe a a splash of a red wine scent and cinnamon. I like it as a a winter scent. To heavy and rich for summer though. I'll try it again after the weather cools.

In the bottle lots of cocoa and vanilla and citrus. On it smells similar but the cocoa is lighter and the nutmeg and sandal wood come out. It has a warm spicy food smell that reminds me of baking. Another winner I'm glad I found.

Out of the bottle it already smells like Fall to me. After wearing it for a bit It becomes a beautiful mix of fruit and sage with a light under current of the smell of dry hay. I'm in love already. So glad I found a bottle of this one.

I smell like dirt. I like the smell, but it isn't something I'll be wearing.

Wet and out of the Imp it's all lily. Dry it smells like the slightly spicy floral scent of fresh Lily with just a hint of honey underneath. Reminds me of the wedding of a friend from years ago.

Sound close but I don't think the other note was woody. More a light sweet herbal scent. Edit: It had wisteria in it.

I try to think of something nice to say about any scent even if it isn't a favorite. But this one was not a good one even out of the imp. Way to much patchouli. I should have known better but I tried it anyway because sometimes my body chemistry kills that note. Unfortunately I smelled like an angry little mammal in heat peed on me. Sorry guys this one was a big loser on me.

At first it was a nice deep vanilla and incense, with a hint if musk, then after about 20 minutes it went all powder on me. Not baby powder but something more like an after shower powder my grandparents use to use. Definitely not for me.

I like this one, but not as something I'd wear. Maybe as a scent in one of my daughters' rooms. It reminds me of fruit loops.

This one is nice. I smell spices and amber and something like sandalwood incense for sure. I also get something that reminds me of handwoven Fair Trade baskets and textiles you find sometimes at import stores. It's warm and sexy and exotic without being overwhelming or too musky.

Lavender, maybe lilac and violet,possibly a hint of another floral I could never place unfortunately.

Some one else may have brought it up already but, Something like the long discontinued B&BW Lavender Flowers. It was one of my favorites and one of the few scents my husband has ever actively liked. Any suggestions?
