In the Imp it’s sweet and green. On my skin it’s bright, fresh, clean with green watery lemon hints. Lovely.

In the IMP it smells like winter in an old bookstore. On me sort of similar, a minty library old book kind of smell. Slight hospital smell with a hint of sweetness. The more I smell my wrist the sweeter it gets and the less medical it becomes. Pretty and minty cool in a leafy sort of way.

Body Makeover – Day 1 Monday January 30, 2012 Preparing and making the food for my diet is a pain in the ass!! It took me an hour last night to make food for today (but I also prepared Rexford’s bag for school – and for the rest of the week, and made regular dinner for everyone.) The BIG test is going to be trying to figure out how to prepare my food for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights because of my second job. I know I’ll have to wake up earlier in the morning, probably around 6 which will be tough, but I know I can do this!! I tried eating my breakfast at home at 7am this morning but no dice, it’s just too early for my body, considering I usually skip breakfast and eat lunch at 11am! So I waited till I got to work and I ate it at my desk, it was ok. The first few bites were tough but halfway through I was starting to enjoy it … kind of. Breakfast: 3 oatmeal and egg white pancakes (with cinnamon and vanilla) 2 table spoons chopped strawberries 1 cup black coffee It wasn’t the most appetizing breakfast but I must admit I feel good, nice and full! The diet also requires me to drink 100 oz of water a day. I’ll admit I am not a big water drinker at all, I really don’t enjoy it so rather than make myself sick by doing the 100oz right away, I’m just going to play it by ear and aim for 60oz a day and take it from there, if I can manage more great, if not it’s better than nothing right? Ugh drinking the water is hard because it’s so cold in the office today! Brrrrr! I’m down almost 33oz and it’s only mid-morning. I can do this! And I have to pee every 5 seconds now!! Taking pictures, weighing and measuring myself was a real eye-opener for me last night. The measuring and weighing was no problem, seeing the pictures was very difficult! I told DH my fears last night. It boils down to this statement: “What happens if I get to my goal weight and stick to the diet and exercise plan but I look in the mirror and I still don’t like what I see?” This is my biggest fear. Part of the problem is I have one leg longer than the other so when I stand my one hip is lower than the other and this makes a crease down my back/side/hip, it looks terrible. I’m hoping that when I loose some of the fat around my thigh/hip area and when I tone the muscles it’ll make it less noticeable. Snack time! 11.30am couldn’t have come soon enough I was hungry! Here is what I had: Mid-morning Snack: 2oz Grilled Chicken Breast Some Grilled Snow peas ½ cup strawberries After I ate this I was still STARVING so I consulting my food plan and read that for my plan I can have unlimited salad/veggies so I went and got a salad from Publix. Lettuce, tom, peppers, cucumber, carrots and spring onion. I topped it with Red Wine Vinaigrette, ground pepper and salt free spicy seasoning. It hit the spot. I am now full! But I was a little too enthusiastic with the seasoning and it was very very spicy! When I got back to my desk I drank some water and had a piece of gum. I’m not sure if gum is allowed but it doesn’t have sugar so I think it’s okay. The mid-morning snack is hard for me because I generally have my HUGE lunch meal at 11am so I have to train my body to have smaller portions earlier on and then a slightly larger lunch at around 2pm. The salad really helped and I don’t feel guilty because it’s “free food”. I am craving something sweet, will have to see what desserts I’m allowed. EPIC FAIL at lunch time. I had made tuna, onion and oat cakes and I thought I was going to throw up. I managed 1 ½ of them with the carrots and tomato but I couldn’t eat anymore. Not a good start considering it’s my first day. I’m trying to remind myself that it’ll take a couple of days to get acclimated and I’ve already learnt that I can have endless amounts of vegetables (like lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms ect.) to fill me up as tuna is not a good idea for me After you finish a small meal even though you’re body isn’t starving or deprived of food, it’s used to eating more so it sends a message to your brain reminding or rather telling you to eat more, the more you eat smaller meals the sooner your body will adjust! I’m excited I did some research on the Diets forum pages and found a great dessert/evening snack recipe – Meringue Cookies (which I will be trying tonight) and a great breakfast or afternoon snack – Almond Rice Cupcakes (which I’ll make tonight for my snack tomorrow!) I just had my afternoon snack which was really good! Mid-afternoon Snack: 2oz Grilled Pork Steak ½ cup grilled snow peas and squash I got home and making dinner was so-so, it was hard with the boys crawling/running around and Brice trying to do the taxes all at the same time. Dinner: “Cottage Pie” 2oz Ground Beef with onions and mushrooms ½ cup “mashed” potato 1 cup peas and brussel sprouts 1 glass of ice water with lemon It wasn’t a very nice meal unfortunately, very bland and when I added crushed garlic to the mash I used too much and it made it very sour/bitter. I found a recipe for home-made tomato sauce from the diet forum and will try and make that sometime to try and add some flavor and “wetness” I find a lot of the meals very dry. After we bathed and put the boys to bed I cleaned the kitchen and got my food ready for tomorrow – took about 50min but I kept distracting myself trying to do too many things at once! I made the meringue cookies too, they turned out okay. I used almond essence which I probably won’t again; it can also have a very odd taste. Next time I think some vanilla will be nicer. I want to try actual meringues this weekend maybe. Body Makeover – Day 2 Tuesday January 31, 2012 Woke up at 6.30am this morning to pack lunches and make breakfast and coffee. I made Brice fried eggs on toast that he shared with Paxton. Made myself black coffee but only had 2 sips and forgot it on the counter. Brought my breakfast to work, I still can’t stomach anything before 8:30am. Have a slight headache today but I’m sure it’s caused from all the withdrawals (sugar, salt, dairy, flour ect.) it’s not too bad, after my black coffee at work and water it’s eased considerably! Breakfast: 2oz ground beef (from last night) 2oz scrambled egg whites ½ c mashed potato I fried them all up with some pepper, parsley and garlic powder so it was like an egg skillet. It wasn’t bad. The first mouthful was very dry but I added some red wine vinaigrette and extra pepper and ate it with my coffee and it was better. My snack time at 11am came quickly and it was delicious! Mid-morning Snack: 2 ½oz (x3 slices) of low-sodium smoked Turkey 1 small tomato Half a grape fruit Unlike yesterday, this filled me up nicely and when I had to eat lunch at 2pm I wasn’t starving. Lunch was okay, a bit bland, I still have to figure out how to make the food taste better. I really need to make some of the tomato sauce/ketcup or some kind of gravy. I also want to see about making a soup in the crockpot, think that would be really nice. Must peruse the diet forum cookbook sometime! Lunch: 2-3oz grilled pork and chicken ½ cup rice 1 cup peas and brussel sprouts Small mixed salad (sprouts, lettuce, cucumber, peppers, carrots and spring onion) Had a cup of tea mid-afternoon, because it’s still hard for me to stomach all the water I have to drink, it’s going well though, I’m almost done with my second bottle of water and if I can manage another one then that’ll almost be the full 100oz! I’m a bit nervous about dinner tonight, fish …. Not sure how to cook it without batter. Just came back from my mid-afternoon snack and all I can say is YUMMO! At first sniff I thought I wouldnt like this too sweet and foody, but when I put it on I actually really liked it. It had a sweet sugary incense smell that I think is very sexy. I was very excited to get a bottle of this in a swap. On sniffing the opened bottle it was very candy foody strong with lots of violet but I was worried it might be too food on me…. I applied it very sparingly to my skin and I was suddenly over powered by warm buttery candy sugar food – not in a good way. How disappointing…. But 5 min later it dried down to a perfectly wonderful sweet violet scent, it still has remnants of sickly food but the violet dominates, and mixes and blends everything very nicely. Lovely. I can now appreciate the magic this blend has, thank goodness I had the sense to wait!

In the IMP it’s very herby and green with strong hints of lavender. On me it’s very herby and orangey, spicy too. Very fresh and clean. Smells like fancy citrus potpourri. I like it on me but I think it would make a very nice room spray as well, especially during the festive seasons!

I love love love Snake Oil and was very intrigued by this scent. In the Imp it is very sweet and powdery in a pleasant flowery way. MMMmmmm on me it’s all sweet lilac candy Snake Oil goodness. Very subtle and sweet on me. Slightly clean and powdery but lovely all the same. Put some more on my wrists so we’ll see if anyone notices.

In the IMP sweet sparkling strawberry and grape wine. On me the same oh this is just AMAZING. Sweet sweet grape wine. Very fruity and bright. I can faintly smell the lychee and orange but they blend in with everything it’s hard to distinguish. All I know is this is fruity grape and I am in Love.

In the IMP it’s very woodsy and masculine. With a strong medicine and eucalyptus smell. On me it’s less manly and very herby. The pine and musk are fighting for center stage and I can’t decide which is stronger. It’s a pleasant and almost sweet (the juniper perhaps) but not for me. Would be nice in a bath or an oil burner.

In the IMP it smells like sweet banana taffy! On me it’s less intense and more green and herby banana – more natural and less artificial sweetness. I really like this scent it’s fruity and sweet in a subtle green and leafy way. It’s relaxing and cool and def. something I could wear in the early days of Summer. Gorgeous.

I was slightly skeptical because a lot of the reviews said warm and foody and those kind of scents do not work well on me. In the IMP it is very warm and sweet. At first it is surprisingly mellow and I can smell the pomegranate but seconds later it is overwhelmingly foody. Smells good enough to eat just not to wear. It still has hints of sweetness that make it less intense.

In the IMP it’s very strong and spicy lavender. Reminds me of my friends aromatherapy oils. On me it’s very minty and herby I can barely smell any lavender. After a little while it’s more lemony sweetness. Very pretty and not at all what I expected. More subtle and light, def. something I want to try before I go to bed to invoke my dream interpretations! (A few minutes later it seems to be getting even sweeter – LOVELY!)

In the IMP it is very sharp and clean. Smells like fresh wet soil and lemon. On me it is very dirty it’s actually a very pleasant smell that reminds me of my mom working in the garden. A nice memory but not something I want to smell like because it mostly dirt and soil. However it does has very sweet hints trying to push through the soil smell that makes it quite pretty. This is an unusual and very pretty scent despite all the dirt!

I had high hopes for this scent because of the green tea and lemon but alas it turned to musky old granny on me The musk being the primary note on me. Oh well can’t win em all.

In the IMP it smells like a luxurious sweet mint infused herb & lavender soap. On me it’s all SEXY MALE!! OMG this is amazing. It’s sweet and soft with a touch of mint, but it’s still very masculine – tall dark and handsome. Def. something a hot man should be wearing and smelling like BUT I like how it smells on me too. My skin gives it a touch of clean softness that makes it slightly feminine. I cannot stop smelling my wrist – it makes me feel sexy and daring.

I was very excited to get this. In the IMP it as a lovely herby sweetness too it. Very fresh and clean with small hints of spicy greenness to it. On me it has a very sharp herby smell to it. A unisex scent bordering just a little too masculine for me. It is a very soothing and dreamy scent that I think I might prefer in the bath than on me. Lovely though. EDIT - okay apparently I already reviewd this scent (I don't even remember it) but my skin chemistry seems to hhave changed!)

In the IMP it has a very strong and almost sickly sweet milky apple. I am wary … Yeah on me it’s too foody and I had such high hopes … it’s pretty though very sweet apple with spicy nutmeg and milkyness. Smells good enough to drink just not to wear!

In the IMP it is absolutely amazing – very sweet with sharp hints of pomegranate. On my skin I am very happy that it smells exactly the same. Sweet sweet pomegranate with small hints of minty coolness coming through from the benzoin and a slight sweetness from the jasmine. Overall a very pretty fruity scent full of sophistication. I this.

In the IMP it is VERY foody – an overwhelming aroma of pumpkin with cool hints of blackberry. Am slightly worried that it might turn my stomach if I wear it because I’m pregnant … will still try it though. On me it’s quite pleasant and sweet smelling but might be too food orientated for me. Too much spicy pumpkin pie and not enough blackberry. Makes me want to lick myself I smell that good. A gorgeous smell but not something that I want to wear! Guess pumpkin is a no-no on my skin!

In the IMP sweet sweet fresh crisp green apples. On me – gorgeous spicy sweet and crisp apples!! OMG this is amazing. This is all apple goodness with a slight spicy ciderness to it. I can smell a small amount of cranberry but golden green apples is the most dominant scent and I it!!

In the IMP it’s lovely strong milky tea. On me it’s strong milky tea with a herby hint of violet leaf! Sweet, clean, refreshing and simply divine. This is simply

In the IMP I am overwhelmed with warm sweet foody goodness then almost immediately I’m hit with a man’s cologne scent! On me the apple is very strong but has an underlying spicy and warmness to it. As it dries down the apple is becoming even more pronounced with only very small hints of spice, chocolate, nuts and dried leaves. Lovely and not at all what I expected!

I got a partial bottle of June Gloom ’09 as a Frimp from a lovely formate when I bought some BPAL from her and on reading the description became very excited! On opening the bottle I am overwhelmed – It smells like a fairy garden, it is just so beautiful. Sweet sweet sweet. On me it’s very sweet and floral. Hints of sweet herby-ness, jasmine and citrus come through nicely. This is an absolutely beautiful scent that just smells so sophisticated and wonderful.
