This is one of my favorite bookish scents, and I just realized I forgot to review it! It smells exactly like old dusty leather and antique paper, yellowed old photographs, and ….well, a gothic attic. I love it to bits! There is a phase in the beginning where it goes a little soapy on me, but it dissipates quickly again. If you love the Lab's book scents, be sure to give this one a try! Throw is medium, and wear length is good.

This is heaviest on the dry leaves, with osmanthus and a little rose. Not getting a lot of sandalwood. It feels a little "dusty" and antique, somehow. It fits very well with the autumn season!
-
On me, Snow White is very similar to GTSD. It's like GTSD with florals.
-
I got that one too! I love the snow note, although in a few blends I've tried it's been too ozony. So excited to try this! The concept is wonderful

Out of the bottle I can't really smell anything, but on my skin it becomes darkly elegant with plum being the foremost note. There is amber, too, and a little rose, but not a lot. It does feel very Victorian. It has medium staying power and throw.

The Lab usually has a cut-off date for international orders if they are to arrive before Christmas. It tends to be the end of November. In my own experience, having ordered Yules when they went live before, I think they usually make it to Europe before Christmas if you adhere to the cut-off date. Of course, there could be customs problems etc. that could delay the package

The White Rider is mostly leather, but there is a good sandalwood underneath, too

I just tried Vasilissa, and I totally second this. I don't actually get jasmine out of it (which is good for me) just a sweet, creamy floral. It's beautiful and feminine. Actually, today I retested Vasilissa, and I was still wearing a little bit of Edith Cushing from earlier, and it occurred to me - they are very similar in feel! Even though they don't share any notes, they are certainly related.

This is mainly a slightly dusty leather on me, with an undertone of what I presume to be ink? It does indeed have a chilly feel to it, even though the leather is very warm. So….cold and warm at the same time?

This is exactly as the notes say: a sweet rum overlaying a kind of dark sandalwood. I'm not sure I'm getting any of the Snow White vibes I was looking forward to, but it's definitely a sweet and sexy blend - and I could actually see it being a Yule scent It's masculine, but the right kind of woman could also pull it off. I will certainly keep my bottle for occasions when I want to smell bay rummy

I get mainly the sweet orchid with an overlay of a little tea and a little resin. I am not getting much in the way of rose. It is soft and mysterious and very fitting for a loving ghost. There is indeed a feeling of something cold, but not unpleasant at all.
-
The vanilla musk is strong in this scent! I am not getting any patchouli, but that's fine with me There is also a little bit of sandalwood and oudh in the background, but not very strong. It is a really soft and fuzzy scent and perfect for a young Victorian woman like Edith. I bought a bottle on a whim, but I am so glad I did.

This luckily didn't have the fizzy champagne note of Mattie Silks. It's a soft white rose, followed by a bit of ambergris and amber. Very soft and distinguished. The comparison in another review to Parlement of Foules is right, only instead of resins there is soft ambergris in this. I can certainly envision some classical ballroom dancing for this scent!

For your witch side, now is a great time to find witch-themed scents, with the Hecate's Inheritance update! I would suggest Witches' Kitchen. Since you work in a book store, you might appreciate The Book For your slightly morbid qualities, I might suggest Haunted. For your light and girly qualities, try High-Strung Daisies.

I sadly get no rice flower in this. Rice flower is one of my favorite notes, so I am a little bummed. Overall, I find this blend to be…..kind of nauseating. Really thick honey and milk, which is just too much for me. If you enjoy those notes, however, you will probably like it

This is like a creamy vanilla cake….or maybe ice cream? Certainly creamy and white! It's pretty straightforward, so if you enjoy foody scents, you might want to give this one a try!

Slightly aquatic scent with a sweet amber in the background. It is not overwhelmingly salty at all on me. It is simple, but very sweet and pretty. It doesn't have a ton of throw on me, though.

This is mostly red wine, leather, and smoke on me! The red wine was very prominent in the wet stages, but it has calmed down somewhat upon drydown. The smoke really evokes guttering candles around a witches' circle in the woods, and I quite like that. It's a scent for a powerful woman for sure (or a powerful man; I can actually see a man wearing this one just fine as well). It doesn't have a ton of throw on me, but it's appropriate, I think. A mysterious, smoky blend for halloween nights!

Wet and in the bottle I am getting mostly apple blossom with coconut, and the scent feels very summery. As it dries down it gets deeper and dustier, though. I am certainly getting the leather, but it is not super prominent. Not sure what mandrake smells like. It is a very intriguing and a bit unorthodox halloween scent that would also go well for summer, I think.

This is snowy and minty florals! I can't really distinguish the different flowers, but I think they're all equally there, and the frankincense lights things up a bit. Not sure I'm getting the sandalwood, though. It really does evoke a frozen bouquet in a still tomb. I really like it!
-
This is mainly orris, cognac, and jasmine on me! I am not getting much of the patchouli, and I think maybe the tuberose is drowning in the other flowers. It reminds me a bit of the other Weenie, Le Revenant, which I believe also has the white flowers and the cognac. It's quite pleasant, and I might get a bottle. It's certainly different from other blends in my collection.

Not sure what either clover or cubeb berries smell like, but I have a feeling that's what amping on me. I don't identify it as rose or carnation. Hm. This is very sweet, and like I said it's really amping on me, almost citrussy. I'm not getting any vanilla cream, but I do think the "blood" note gives it a bit of spice. I will need to retest it and see if it still amps like crazy. If it does, I'm not really sure it's for me after all.

This is mostly greenery on me - it really evokes a kind of bog! There is a bit of sugar in the background, and in the beginning I get a bit of mint, but it doesn't last long. I kind of like it, but I'm not sure I like it enough to warrant a bottle.
-
There is also Vasilissa, which is, to me, a very delicate and creamy scent, with star jasmine.

Ooh, it sounds like we like some of the same things If you can get a hold of it, Ava from the Only Lovers Left Alive collection is similar to BFJA, and it is a very nice floral with vanilla musk. Also, some more ethereal florals are Under the Harvest Moon, Ghost Houses, and Ghost Revelry (from the current Lilith collection). They are certainly some of my own favorites in the floral department Also, since it appears you like violet, I would recommend Le Serpent Qui Danse, which is basically vanilla + violet. Also, the Yule scent La Befana is a nice violet-dominant sugar flower scent!
