It's very complex for only having three notes in it. The opponax is pretty strong at first and it kinda fights the musk. The rose is absent in the wet stage almost, but there's something floral just hiding. Eventually everyone plays nice together once it starts drying down and then it's just heady, very slightly sweet and quite musky. Darkly sexy. A barely visible sexy.

2008 version This is better than I thought it would be. It's soft and sweet and slightly floral. The sandalwood seems to help keep it grounded and gives it a woodsy feel without overpowering.

This is dark, sweet, and sexy. On first application it SCREAMS sweet leather. As it mellows out, it becomes a very soft musky, sweetly honeyed leather. I don't really smell the rose, which is a little sad. Fresh, this bottle is nice and wearable. Hopefully with a bit of age it'll really come into it's own.

The oil is a pale yellow color. There is a resin/wood mix going on. It's kind of soft, just a bare hint of sweetness. It is not over powering at all as some resin's can be on me. I think I get a bit of amber and a soft light wood of some kind. Nice but not sure it's something I'd crave.

Warm, sweet, and slightly floral. I'm starting to become addicted to BPAL's orchid note. This stays pretty close to the skin, but if I move the test area anywhere near me, I get a nice whiff of it.

This is just ... mmmm. Sweet, soft ... I love the lab's bamboo. The dragon's blood resin lends it some sweetness as does the cherry blossom. The sandalwood gives it some depth, and the bamboo gives it a watery feel. Overall it's a red-ish pink feel to it that's feminine, sexy, soft, and sweet.

Sweet, soft, pink in color (scent color). I love cherry blossom in just about every form I've seen but this is the first time I've had a chance to try the labs cherry blossom and I am most definitely not disappointed. This is bordering on being powdery. Very feminine, very soft, very pretty.

This is different, in that it has a "cold" note that I normally stay away from. The caves of ice is noticeable, but there's also a sweetness in there, some golden notes, and an overall well blended scent. I'm actually finding I like this quite a bit though it's a scent I would never actively seek out because I tend to shy away from a few notes in here (ice and basalm namely). Really a surprise win!

Very soft, slightly sweet musky smell. Good layering. Put it next to Rogue and it's already starting to do nice things. =)

This is nice. Worn leather, bit of pine, and a scent I associate with ropes (I assume the hemp). Almost exactly like a saddle smell. It's very warm and almost comforting.

In the bottle this smells dark, leathery, a little dangerous. Leahter starts out sharp and biting, not a well worn leather, more sleak. Almond sits around and the vanilla peeks out every now and then. Little bit of a bark note which is the oak + almond husk maybe. Patchouli sits back and watches it all, just hanging out. As the leather warms, it loses some of it's sharpness and becomes more malleable. This is a very assertive blend and makes no bones about being itself.

He's soft, sweet, musky. Like a warm blanket that you've pulled out for the fall. You'd put it away after washing it in your favorite laundry detergent that is now discontinued and it's that first inhale sitting in front of a small fire, with a cup of tea in your hands and a good book set off to the side of the rocker. In other words, I like this. A lot.

Soft, fuzzy and warm. I can definitely smell a little of everything, but it's very well blended and just cozy.

In the bottle: Almost a candy-like floral sweetness Wet on skin: Thankfully that candy note doesn't show on skin. It's still sweet though and I get the whole bush, not just the floral. There's a greenness in it too. Dry: Sweet, soft, pinky pink floral, with some greenness. Nice for those days I want to be ultra-girly! Or if I can talk my daughter into wearing anything other than Agape, this would be good on her.

I Loved You at First: But Afterwards Your Love

In the bottle: Soft, sweet floral Wet on skin: Tuberrose is front and center (as it tends to be on me) and wet. Dry: This is soft and light floral, the bourbon vanilla tries it's best to keep it all grounded. A little age might help it out. -
In the bottle: This is FLORAL with some green coming through Wet on skin: Roses, peeks of coconut, little bit of cinnamon poking through, some musk in the background. I think everything is trying to wrestle the roses into submission. Dry: Roses, coconut, and cinnamon. It's nice, but I think a little age will do it some good.

In the bottle: opium and flowers Wet on skin: Getting a bit of the cypress tar, it's all very smoky and dark. Opium is coming out more, as are some of the florals. Dry: This is very complex, soft, smoky, dark, resinous. The florals sort of sit above everything, just wafting about in the darkness. I'm glad I didn't pass this one up!

In the bottle: I too get a very buttery, sweet scent. Wet on the skin: Some of the smokiness and spiciness starts to come out. Dry: This is warm, sweet, slightly spicy. Love it! Reminds me of the vanilla in my beloved Lawn Gnome.

Pipe tobacco and ambergris is front and center in the wet stage. Little sweet, little salty, and just now going a little smoky. Not getting the "hot leather" which was honestly the note that I was most worried about. This actually reminds me more of a Smoke shop and not "hellfire".

The dead are dancing with the dead, the dust is whirling with the dust: angel’s trumpet, violet, white sandalwood, oude, copaiba balsam, angelica, white tea, olibanum, and oakmoss. Soft floral, not overpowering, not assuming, it just is. Kind of wafts around without imposing but letting you know it's there.

This is much softer than I thought it would be. Floral with a tint of incense underneath. The jasmine is very prominent in this.

This is not one I would choose from scent list alone, but as a frimp, I'll test anything at least once. This is very sweet. Not so much foodie sweet, but floral/fruit sweet. It's actually kind of pretty, and the longer it sits the more the florals come out and the fruit sinks to the background. Not something I'd reach for very often, but it has that sweet quality that I crave every once in a while.

I can kind of almost smell it. It's very faint, very soft. I get the baby's breath. But, unlike other clover scents, I'm not really picking up that greenness that I was hoping for. It's nice but overpowering at all ... maybe for those days when I'd rather it be close to the skin instead of a huge throw.

Dark, heady .... baby powder. Oh rose. It is flipping between baby powder and rose so maybe all is not lost!
