i get something slightly perfumey from this, which must be the musk? it's almost a fruity-musk though, strangely enough. i also get some sort of woods and a pencil-shaving thing here, which i think may be the dusty bible accord. this is a very interesting scent, it reminds me of pale yellow. it's very soft on my skin, and i think it's fairly unisex.

this is dry, soft and powdery on my skin. it reminds me of a subtle man's cologne- it smells like a cross between old spice, obsession for men and men's shaving cream. it reminds me of one of my grandfathers. it smells really nice and comforting, just not a very 'me' scent, so i will swap it.

this starts off smeliing like...pineapple (?!) and not much else. once it settles into my skin, it's pineapple-vanilla or musk. ?? i thought i'd definitely love this, but apparently my skin chemistry doesn't agree, and is doing something bizarre. if i liked to smell like pineapple, this'd be fab, unfortunately i don't, so it's off to swaps!

the gardenia is at the forefront of this scent, but once it settles into my skin the monoi comes out and the gardenia softens. the vanilla and incense add a nice background softness, so that this does not become to overwhelmingly floral. very pretty, i'm just not sure i'd use a whole bottle. i'll keep it around awhile and see what happens.

damnit, i had high hopes for this one. i love coconut, citrus and black musk, however, something in this turns to pencil-shavings, much like cedar and frankincense do on my skin. i think perhaps the ironwood bark is the culprit here, but i'm not sure. it adds a sourness to the lemon blossom, and then turns to pencil shavings and lemon. i don't even get any coconut from this at all. to my skin chemistry.

omfg this is BEAUTIFUL. like a tropical floral-vanilla with a slight sugariness, but it is not overly sweet, cloying or foody. actually, i realized it smells like a tropical dorian!! i want to bathe in this, and i might have to track down more bottles...ahhhijsajhdsadjlas.

i often love rose, but there are times when it misses, and this is one of them. as others have said, helena makes a sharp, sour rose on my skin. i detect wateriness, so that must be the water lily. other than that, i can't pick out any notes. this just doesn't work with my skin chemistry, so i'll have to swap it.

i mostly get lily and moonflower from this, and maybe a bit of the 'bone dust'. something definitely smells a bit dusty here. i get a slight semi-aquatic scent which could be the tomb mosses? at first i wasn't sure about this, but the longer it's on my skin, the more i like it. the lily tends to go wonky in the wet stage, but i am kind of liking this now.

wow, this is a strange scent on my skin. the vetiver and sandalwood are most prominent. this scent smells very empty. like an old, empty room with stale air. it kind of reminds me of the smell of a car too. weird. this is one of the lab's very evocative scents, but i don't think i'd wear it much so i'll swap it.

this was the one i was most excited about in the secret amusments section. this is a warm, pretty floral. there is a slight sweetness which i think must be the vanilla flower, but the rest is warmth and honey. this is so so beautiful, i will have to track down a bottle!

this smells very asian to me- it reminds me of the incense i smell in chinatown in san francisco. i believe the violet, ylang ylang and patchouli are most prominent on my skin. the amber and citrus seem to just hang out in the background, blending seamlessly. i like this ok, but i don't love it. i think the patchouli is too apparent for my tastes.

i can't really make out the notes in this. it smells like a white floral, which i guess is magnolia, but...this isn't what i remember magnolia smelling like. it smells very watery on me too and i don't get any lavender at all. just a sour white floral doused in lots of water. my skin chemistry often does not agree with white florals, so no surprise here.

this smells like cinnamony-cocoa. it's very chocolatey. i normally don't like chocolate scents, but i thought i'd try this anyhow, for some reason. maybe i was hoping the sugar would come out more, but alas it's all cocoa-chocolate on my skin, so it's off to be swapped.

in the imp i smell the vanilla bean and spices and not much else. once it hits my skin the honey musk comes and blackberry leaf come forth. i don't detect any green tea, and when it dries it's a pretty musky vanilla with a hint of blackberry. i like this and will keep my imp.

the snake pit just continues to impress me! i have liked nearly all of them, and originally only wanted to try a handful. green tree viper is no different. at first it's a strong, sugary mint on my skin. once it soaks in a bit it becomes this beautiful sugary mint tea. so beautiful! i must definitely get a bottle of this!

i get a sweet-herbal floral from this with something sort of powdery underneath. i do enjoy powdery, in the violet or musk way, but something in this is off to me. i'm not sure what the culprit is, but it must be the black amber, which is weird because amber usually works on me. too sweet for my tastes, and just not my style.+

wow this is an interesting scent..something about this is SO familiar, i wish i could place it. it's ozoney, with an herbal-floral undertone. i can't make out the leather at all, which is a shame because i love leather. this is not a very 'me' scent but i am finding it fascinating right now. i'll have to re-try it for the final verdict.

in the imp, this smells like a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. on my skin the amber and lemon balm come through and soften the florals. once it dries, it turns into a slightly powdery musky-floral, which i am thinking is the grey amber + carnation. i wish the carnation was a bit stronger than this, as it is my favorite floral, but i still really like this one. definitely keeping my imp.

having a stressful time, so i figured i'd try this to try to get some insights on new ways of dealing with things. it smells like mint, lavender and frankincense or sandalwood on me (not sure which-they both turn strange on me, and it is one or the other...something resiny.) it starts out powerfully minty and then the lavender/resins come through. it has a pretty strong throw. i'm hoping it can help give me some new insights possibly.

zombi and premature burial are two of my favorite scents, so i was pretty sure i'd love deep in earth, and i do! it's like a softer zombi on my skin. earth and moss mixed with a subtler rose than is in zombi. i love zombi but sometimes it's a bit too strong for my mood, i think this is more of an "everyday dirt scent" for me. very pretty, i definitely want a bottle.

this smells like bright tangerines with maybe something subtly spicy in the background to ground it some. very citrussy and uplifting. i will definitely slather more of this on before i clean my house today.
-
ooh this is a really interesting scent! it smells like musky-leather and incense on my skin. i definitely think the kush and arabian musk come out most. i'd love to smell this on a boy, but i like it on myself quite a bit. something underlying about it reminds me of tarot: death. i think it's the woody quality. but death is much darker and vetiver-y than this. i think i'll have to get a big bottle of this one.

this is a soft, pretty floral. it's pretty jasmine-y but in a good way (jasmine often turns sour on me/is amped to ridiculous levels.) but in this, it works pretty well. it's difficult for me to pick out the other notes in this, as they are blended perfectly. mostly i smell jasmine and rose with the other notes adding support in the background.
-
it's difficult to pick out notes in this, it smells like a fresh green floral. i think i am mostly getting hyacinth and rose though. something turns slightly sour which could be lily of the valley, but i am not entirely sure. the amber tempers the sharpness of the florals, once it has absorbed into the skin a bit more. very springlike and pretty.
-
this starts out total lavender, but once the lavender fades a sweetness comes through that is slightly musky and creamy (perhaps the violet?). very soft, pretty and soothing. i will definitely keep my imp and may track down a bottle. 2013 version: i wanted to try this again and see what i thought. this time i don't really get much lavender at all, except way in the background, when i inhale deeply. this scent is very sweet and not in a violet way at all. i think maybe i am getting mostly balsam and narcissus actually. it smells very purple and sweet, very springlike.
