in the imp, this smells like a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. on my skin the amber and lemon balm come through and soften the florals. once it dries, it turns into a slightly powdery musky-floral, which i am thinking is the grey amber + carnation. i wish the carnation was a bit stronger than this, as it is my favorite floral, but i still really like this one. definitely keeping my imp.

having a stressful time, so i figured i'd try this to try to get some insights on new ways of dealing with things. it smells like mint, lavender and frankincense or sandalwood on me (not sure which-they both turn strange on me, and it is one or the other...something resiny.) it starts out powerfully minty and then the lavender/resins come through. it has a pretty strong throw. i'm hoping it can help give me some new insights possibly.

zombi and premature burial are two of my favorite scents, so i was pretty sure i'd love deep in earth, and i do! it's like a softer zombi on my skin. earth and moss mixed with a subtler rose than is in zombi. i love zombi but sometimes it's a bit too strong for my mood, i think this is more of an "everyday dirt scent" for me. very pretty, i definitely want a bottle.

this smells like bright tangerines with maybe something subtly spicy in the background to ground it some. very citrussy and uplifting. i will definitely slather more of this on before i clean my house today.

ooh this is a really interesting scent! it smells like musky-leather and incense on my skin. i definitely think the kush and arabian musk come out most. i'd love to smell this on a boy, but i like it on myself quite a bit. something underlying about it reminds me of tarot: death. i think it's the woody quality. but death is much darker and vetiver-y than this. i think i'll have to get a big bottle of this one.

this is a soft, pretty floral. it's pretty jasmine-y but in a good way (jasmine often turns sour on me/is amped to ridiculous levels.) but in this, it works pretty well. it's difficult for me to pick out the other notes in this, as they are blended perfectly. mostly i smell jasmine and rose with the other notes adding support in the background.

it's difficult to pick out notes in this, it smells like a fresh green floral. i think i am mostly getting hyacinth and rose though. something turns slightly sour which could be lily of the valley, but i am not entirely sure. the amber tempers the sharpness of the florals, once it has absorbed into the skin a bit more. very springlike and pretty.

this starts out total lavender, but once the lavender fades a sweetness comes through that is slightly musky and creamy (perhaps the violet?). very soft, pretty and soothing. i will definitely keep my imp and may track down a bottle. 2013 version: i wanted to try this again and see what i thought. this time i don't really get much lavender at all, except way in the background, when i inhale deeply. this scent is very sweet and not in a violet way at all. i think maybe i am getting mostly balsam and narcissus actually. it smells very purple and sweet, very springlike.

this is a wet, lush, sweet, green and floral scent. very springlike. i defintely smell the ivy and tea rose the strongest...there also seems to be something slightly aquatic here? it's VERY strong when first applied, i think once it calms down a bit more i will enjoy it more.

this is a creamy vanilla with the barest hint of saffron. it turns slightly plasticky on me, as foody scents often do. it smells almost exactly like the original midway on me. will probably keep my imp but not get a bottle.

this is subtly aquatic with white flowers...maybe lilies? i am having trouble picking out notes. it does smell rainy as opposed to oceany. there is a slight sweetness which reminds me of lotus, but i don't think is lotus. this isn't a normally 'me' scent, but it's intriguing and for some reason i am compelled to keep my imp.

at first this smells like spicy almonds. i guess that's the pink pepper? once it settles down a bit, the amber and come through more. there is still a nuttiness to this though that isn't doing well with my skin chemistry. the passion flower is very faint in the background. i think i'll swap this one.

this is an effervescent, bright, sweet citrus. i definitely smell the lime, grapefruit and tangerine. i can't really make out the other notes...it smells pretty straight up citrus on my skin. but it's sweet, not sour- a sugary citrus. it's nice but not really for me, and for some reason it gives me a bit of a headache.

i am so delighted that i've finally gotten to try venom! it's a beautiful scent- warm, dark but with a coolness at the same time. it's very opulent. mostly it smells like incense on my skin, and i can smell the dark berries in the background. venom is in the same family as voodoo queen, if i remember correctly. in my head they remind me of each other. i'll have to try them side by side to see for sure. i am definitely keeping my imp of this.

this reminds me a bit of the atrocious attic, as well as antique lace. it has that creamy-floral scent to it, once it settles on my skin. at first the lily or other white florals in it turn a bit sour, but after that stage it's a creamy rose and it's very pretty and soft.
-
i definitely smell the orchid here, as the most prominent note. good thing, as orchid is a floral that i enjoy. in the imp it smells like orchids with a grassy herbal. on my skin it's almost like pure sweet orchid, and strongly reminds me of another bpal i've tried before, but can't place. it's sweet, tropical and pretty. i will probably keep my imp but not get a bottle since this reminds me of a few other bpal scents i have.

hm in the imp this smells like florals + wine or grapes to me. indeed, it smells very purple. once on my skin it's fairly sweet, but smells like a grapey-white floral to me. i guess that's the lily? after awhile it fades to a powdery-lily. nice but not really all that remarkable with my skin chemistry, so i think i will swap this.

ooh this is interesting. it kind of reminds me of black currant tea! i don't get any strong vetiver or moss in this. it's mostly just black currant, red musk and tea on my skin. very light and pretty, and a bit comforting. it reminds me of a softer version of a red tea perfume i have. i will definitely keep my imp of this and possibly hunt down a bottle.

this smells like an aquatic-floral on me. at first it is very sharp and perfumey. i believe the wisteria is most prominent on my skin, and after awhile the sasparilla makes itself known, and adds (i think?) a powdery softness which tempers the initial herbal sharpness.

a couple of the notes in here can be hit or miss on me, but i figured i'd try this anyway, since many of them work well. at first something in this goes sour on me. i am assuming it's the calla lily, jasmine or honeysuckle, but i can't be sure. i think grey amber did that once to me too. once the sourness goes away, the scent is quite nice, and is mostly calla lily, moonflower and amber. it's very cool and dark, evocative of the painting.

this is a sweet herbal floral and it is very sunny and green. it's sweet and a bit sour at the same time. i definitely get a bit of pepperiness from it, and i think the heliotrope stands out. it's pretty well blended though, and hard to make out notes, though i'm not sure what morning glory and begonia, etc. actually smell like. this is a very pretty springlike scent, but it's not something i'd wear too often...so i'll have to swap it.

this is very well blended and i am having trouble picking out notes. it reminds me of the guess perfume i wore in the 90s, that turned on mel. it's warm and spicy and the tonka is pretty strong, i just get a nose-burning sensation from this, as my skin amps something in this and turns it a bit sour. too bad, as i love b movies and was really hoping i'd love this one. most of these notes work on me, so i'm not sure what the culprit is here! -
got this as a frimp from someone. holy honeysuckle! that's mostly what i get from this. luckily the jasmine isn't overpowering like it can be with my skin chemistry. i am not a big fan of white florals, namely jasmine and honeysuckle, yet i appreciate this scent. it's very light and pretty, just not me.

this is mostly white florals with an ozonic and effervescent quality to it. i think i smell the white orchid, lotus and white sandalwood, but it's really difficult to pick out notes. it's nice but not that remarkable on me, so i will swap it.

i haven't tried many TALs yet, so bear with me. in the decant something herbal, with some almond. on my skin i think i smell clove, almond and maybe myrrh? it's very soft and comforting scent, and makes me feel a bit more centered and calm. i think i will try it when i go to sleep tonight.
