i got this in a decant circle, and didnt look at the description again. i was sure this was roses and amber, but there are no roses! i think perhaps it's the combination of amber and honey and currant. sometimes honey doesn't work on me, abd sandalwood is hit or miss, but this one works beautifully! this is warm and sexy but also a bit comforting. may have to get a bottle of this one.

i get a warm, incesy, musky floral with a touch of fruits from this. it's very hard to pick out any notes, but thankfully the patchouli isn't overwhelming. very floral-oriental, which is my favorite type of perfume. the only thing is there is something in here that turns on me just a little bit. i will have to try it again at a later date and see what i think. other than the turning, this is right up my alley, and if i decide it works w/ my skin chemistry i will be hunting down a bottle.

hmm, i really like this at the outset. it smells like moss, dirt and foliage with herbs. once it's dry, however, i get a warm-fruity-wine scent, which is quite nice, just not my style, really. so off to swaps with this one.

in the beginning oborot is a bit perfumey, but once it dries it's more pleasant. to me, this smells like a bright and clear foresty-herbal scent with florals and a touch of icy aquatics. i dont get any deep dark earth on my skin, more like a cool breeze through a forest at night.

crow moon is a clear herbal-woody floral with a very slight aquaticness to it. it's pretty perfumey at first with a strong throw, and i can't really pick out any of the notes. once it dries, it's a bright, clear grassy-floral. it reminds me of fresh flowers and grass coming through on the cusp of spring, but with a coolness leftover from winter. it's sort of ethereal but grounded at the same time. at first i thought this wasn't for me, but now that its dry, i really, really like it.

oh how i love this. at first it's pure coconut and a vetiver, but not too heavy on the vetiver. once it's dry the vanilla comes out more and balances out the other notes. now that it's been about an hour, it sort of reminds me of black pearl with earthiness from the vetiver. i am so glad i took a chance on a bottle of this!

ooh this was a pleasant surprise. i thought this might be too bright and clean smelling to me, but it's not! it is bright and clean but it also has some depth and fullness, which i like. i smell citrus and orchid with just a splash of ozone, which doesnt make the aquatics go sour on my skin. it's a bit perfumey but that doesn't bother me. it's a fabulous scent for summer.

at first all i smell is almond. when this dries i get bay rum and clove, very nice- crisp yet warm. i usually don't like bay rum, but this is the best bay rum i've ever smelled! i'm not sure i would wear this much, but it's nice.

at first i get a vicks vapo rub scent from this, which i think is the eucalyptus. dry, it smells like pine and juniper, very foresty. not bad, just not very me.

to me this smells like soft mint, violet, tea and grass. it has an underlying quality to it that reminds me a lot of the mock turtle's lessons, but less sweet and more floral-herby. quite nice, but i have other similar scents that i like better and that don't fade so quickly on me.

i get sandalwood and frankincense with a hint of patchouli and something else. maybe a bit herby? it smells like sour pencil shavings on me. not a keeper.

this smells like musty baby powder on me i am coming to find i like vetiver in some scents, but my skin does generally not get along with opium at all and very rarely with honeysuckle, which i think are the dominant notes on me here. so yeah, this doesn't work very well for me.

The Babylonian Goddess of Dreams, who bestows the power of Oneiromancy onto her priests. This blend opens up psychic sensitivity during sleep and aids in the understanding and correct interpretation of portents and symbols. in the imp i smell lavender with a hint of lemon. on my skin i smell lemon verbena with a slight, soft sweetness in the background. at first it's nice, like a creamy lemon scent, which reminds me a lot of tarot: the star, except with lemon instead of lime. once dry however, i get a sour note behind the lemon. i think it may be white tea, which seems to go sour on me for some reason.

this smells exactly like some kind of incense i've used before, sort of like nag champa but sweeter.. it smell the honey at first, but it fades into the background when dry. something about this is similar to desire, but less...sexy and musky. i get a warm slightly wood and clove incense from this. maybe not a usual kind of scent i would like, but i am digging it right now.

i got this as a frimp. i had avoided it because of the raspberry, because fruit notes are not my favorite and they tend to turn plasticky. same happens with akuma- at first it's a citrus with a hint of raspberry- pretty and fresh (but not me.) then it smells like a raspberry scented doll after the drydown.

ylang ylang and patchouli city on me, aka baby wipes. this turns to a musky-powdery scent on me with a slight acidic tinge, therefore i dont think it'll work for me.

this smells like an old dusty room with traces of old perfume. i smell the nutmeg and the root-beerish smell that others have mentioned. it reminds me of tombstone, if memory serves, but i like it better. it's warm and dusty smelling to me, and i really like it a lot, but something about it keeps me from wanting to wear it a lot.

this is a warm somewhat soothing scent. i smell something similar to coconut but much subtler, which must be the shea. this is mixed with an herbalness and something slightly fruity? ack i dont know, the notes are really hard to pick out in this. it's very soft and subtle though.
-
i get a sugary lemony-mint with a hint of anise. once dry it's mostly anise with a hint of sugar. also i get a slight rubbery scent to it, which kind of puts me off.

very very pale, clear, watery green scent. i cant make out the notes except aquatics and herbs, maybe some sort of floral? unfortunately, something in this turns sour on my skin. i imagine it could be beautiful on the right person though.

so much better than i could've expected. i this. i dont find it overwhelmingly masculine at all. it's in the same vein of haunted and titus andronicus but is clearer and a bit sweeter to me. i get amber, musk and some slight woods/herbs and maybe a slight touch of clove? it smells very clean to me, but musky at the same time. adding this to my big bottle list promptly!

this is a really interesting scent. at the beginning it smells exactly like one of lush bubble bars, but i can't remember which one. it's a very luscious scent, at first it's a cocoa-floral. the more it dries the more it opens up to reveal more. now there is a bit of an green scent, similar to pine or fir, but not as strong. also there is a weird coolness to this, perhaps a tiny hint of menthol? this scent is SO unique, i really like it!

generally jasmine and i do not get along, but in this blend i think we do. i get a creamy jasmine-rose with enough myrrh to add a nice base. i am happily surprised, as it is quite rare to find a prominently jasmine scent that works on me. however, i am seldom in the mood for jasmine, so probably wouldn't wear this all that often. but it's still lovely!

this is a very woody rose with amber. BPAL's sandalwood often turns to pencil shavings on my skin if used heavily, and i am getting that here. after it dries a bit it calms down. i think i might like this one better if the sandalwood was subtler, as i think my skin tends to amp it a bit.

i'm surprised i like this one as much as i do. it reminds me a lot of another bpal i've tried, but i can't place it. mostly i get the vanilla, heliotrope and touch of the strawberry and black cherry, but not too fruity to make it overly sweet. i like this scent, but i don't think i'd wear it much.
