berries are hit or miss for me, but bewitched is thankfully a hit! i mostly get musk and berries-i can't really pick out any other notes, but it is musky-sweet and smells divine!

this smells like a white creamy floral on me. i was thinking jasmine, but now that i've seen ylang ylang mentioned in the reviews, that must be it, or a combination of the two. jasmine, honeysuckle and ylang ylang always smell generically floral on me, so this one doesn't really do much for me. this was the first celestial i've tried, i was so excited! alas, it's not really a 'me' scent.

hm. i have tested this twice and am on the fence about it. it does evoke the memory of black pearl, but since i love black pearl so much this one doesn't really compare for me. it does smell good, but red musk sometimes gives off a hippy smell, and this is one of the scents where it does. hm. i have tested this twice and am on the fence about it. it does evoke the memory of black pearl, but it's less floral and a bit spicy and more subtle. since i am a black pearl lover, this one doesn't really compare for me. it does smell good, but red musk sometimes gives off a hippy smell, and this is one of the scents where it does.

this has jasmine or honeysuckle in it i think (whidh i dislike), because for most of the beginning it's all i can smell. after it fades a bit the mossiness comes out more and it becomes more subtle. it's just kind of 'eh' on me so i will be swapping this one.

i get the plummy berry fruits from this and the florals are in the background. it reminds me of bordello, but without the wine and deepness to it that bordello has. it's a very pretty scent, but i am not into wearing the fruit scents so much. i was hoping the florals would be more prominent on me.

this is really pretty, at first. i think the calla lily and tea rose come out most on my skin. i dont sense the autumn leaves at all, and i am not even sure about the other notes. this turns to a shampoo-y scent on me, similar to that 'clean' perfume they have at sephora. so i get a hint of aquatics, or perhaps it is the lily, i'm not sure. not really me so i'll probably swap this.

this smells like roses and leaves and at the very beginning, i get the tinsiest bit of earth/dirt coming through, though not like zombi or anything. my skin seems to eat this right up though, within half an hour it has faded a lot. ADDED Nov. 2: i got a sniffie of this from someone. it's a nice crisp rose scent with a touch of greenery from the stem. simple and understated and pretty. i may have to track down more of this.

whoa this is a really interesting scent! i smell limes and something else from the imp, but on my skin it turns to citrusy-tea scent with vanilla/cake. i love this one, it's one of the more foody scents that works on me.
-
damnit, this smells really good now that's faded...lilies + something else familiar that i can't put my finger on... when it's first on it's a strong fruity smell, like a scented doll-strawberry shortcake, but not strawberries... something sort of citrus-peachy that i can't place. not bad necessarily, just not really me.

this kind of reminds me of sin, but i like sin better i think. even though they both have patchouli, which i don't generally like, the patchouli seems more prominent in this, and i am getting a hippie-headshop feel from this scent. when it fades it smells much sexier and less-patchouli to me, but i'm not sure i want to do all that waiting for it to smell good.

i don't get the lemon that many people seem to have gotten from this. it does have a bit of a sharpness to it. i think i mostly smell the clover, white musk and cotton blossom. i am not a big fan of the cotton blossom scent because it's too baby-powdery, but once it fades into the background, this is becomes a soft, pretty scent.
-
this smells like ambery musk on me- the musk is a bit strong at first, but once it calms down it melds with my skin and smells warm and golden and beautiful. definitely a keeper.
-
this smells like creamy jasmine on me with a bit of golden warmth (amber?) this one is just ok to me. it smells like a lot of other bpal scents 've tried, and nothing really stands out to me. i think it is because a) i am not really a fan of jasmine and scents with prominent jasmine tend to all smell similar on me, hence the generic quality i get.
-
this one is interesting. it's a bright strong floral. not really 'soft' at all. almost tropical in a way. at first it smells a bit too potpourri-ish for my tastes, but once it softens some slight spiciness seems to come out. it fades a bit too fast, but it's really pretty!

um. i love this one. at first it smells like dorian but with orange instead of lemon. like orange-cream-vanilla-tea. once it dries the tea is less noticeable and i think the spicyness/earthiness of patchouli comes through, but only slightly. i often don't like patchouli scents, and the patchouli in this smells nothing like typical patchouli to me. so it's like a slight spicy orange-dorian on me, so yeah i love this one. also i've keep trying to find a bpal scent with orange blossom that actually smells like orange blossom on me, and this is the first one that has worked.

this smells like green and powdery jasmine or honeysuckle on me. i don't get any rose or much else. it's an icky white floral on me. or maybe it smells good but just is totally not me.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

if i like versace dreamer, what would i like? also alexander mcqueen's my queen? anyone? also, othello smells exactly like gaultier classique without that strong alcohol component. for this i am truly happy, and must acquire a bottle. also the bow and crown of conquest smells very similar to mac mv3 (the one in the black bottle.) for this i am truly happy and a bottle is on the way to me -
hm. i was almost positive i'd love this one, as i tend to do quite well with many amber scents, but there is something off in this on my skin. i get the amber and tonka, but then there's a weird musty smell that is similar to what i sometimes get from the bpal honey note, except it's more sour. after looking up the other notes i am pretty sure it's the galbanum.

this is a spicy and earthy scent, and is pretty unisex if you ask me. i think i mostly smell the musk, tobacco, clove and orange blossom, but i'm not sure as i am not the greatest at picking out notes. i smell no mint whatsoever though- that i am sure of. this reminds me of another bpal ive tried, but now cant remember which one it was. i want to say it's like perversion with no booze or leather. very brown and spicy. i think i am kind of ambivalent to this one. i dont hate it but...it's not wowing me either.

this is a light and sweet fruity floral. not too cloying, but very sweet. it has a slight commercialness to it. a pretty light summery floral. something in this is really familiar- jasmine or honeysuckle, which are both on my 'eh' list. this isn't really my thing, so i will probably swap it.

on me this smells like an aquatic citrus-floral. sweet from the florals but sharp from the ozone. it reminds me of commercial perfume, as ozones often do. i cant really make out separate notes in this, and i can't smell the violet at all. i like it better than some aquatics i've tried, but it's not really a keeper for me personally.
-
oberon smells masculine to me. it smells just like powdery dryer sheets on my skin. or detergent. must be the juniper? this isn't really me so it'll go to swaps.
-
wow what an interesting scent. i am mostly getting the blackcurrant, lavender and ozone, i think. it reminds me of something but i cant place it. almost like those blackcurrant candies that come in a tin-berry plus something slightly sharp/tart, which i believe is the ozone. the only downside is, i feel like this is fading fast on my skin.
-
i definitely sense the mandarin, tonka, saffron, black tea, tobacco leaf, and red musk, with the mandarin, tonka and tea being most prominent. kind of reminds me of a perfumey orange tea, if there were such a thing. it's very light and pretty with slight spiciness underneath. a keeper!
-
thank god the cedar/sage isn't overpowering in this. i get warm spicy carnationy-leather. in other words, total hotness. this is very unisex, so dudes could pull it off too. it kind of reminds me of mac mv3, which i love, which is a vanilla, leather, vetiver + other stuff blend. i am so thrilled when leather blends work on me.
