I get a strong red wine and myrrh scent from this both in the vial and wet on my skin, with the black musk becoming more prominent as it dries, but not overpowering the wine and myrrh. I don't get much rose from it. I love the scent, so my only complaint so to speak, is that it doesn't last very long so I'll likely need a bottle of this to keep up with how much I am going to want to wear it.

I get a sweet and spicy floral scent in the vial, but the second I put it on, it turns straight to headache inducing cinnamon. After several hours, a powdery floral develops underneath the cinnamon, but I don't like it enough to tolerate headaches and smelling like a red hot candy. This is one for the swap pile I'm afraid.

In the imp and wet on my skin, it's equal mix of both rose and pomegranate, and a very heady mix at that. I amp the rose during the drydown, but this isn't so bad as I like rose. It doesn't last very long on me either, it's a powerful, heady scent that vanishes quickly. I am undecided about buying a bottle of this, but I will keep the imp.

In the bottle, it did smell very crystalline and ethereal, though I couldn't for the life of me pick out any singular notes I smelled. It was just cold and beautiful. I'm one of the one of the "similar to Antique Lace" people. It's touch colder and gives me a more "distant" feel, if that makes any sense. I am picking up other notes in with the cold vanilla, I'm just having a hard time identifying them though it's not anything floral. Overall, I like it and I'm glad I bought a bottle just because other people raved.

In the Vial: Rich, spices and red musk, pretty much just what I imagined from the description. Very warm and rich. Wet on Skin: Red musk is strong, which I have noticed is the norm for me. Drydown: The red musk is still the prominent note, but the spices have come out to really flesh out this scent. The notes seem to play well together on me. Overall: Decadent, spicy red musk deliciousness that lasts. I love this and will be getting a bottle and wearing it frequently.

In the Imp: Resinous and woody. A very rich scent. Wet on skin: Cedar is coming out very strong, with a bit of resin. Drydown: All cedar. Overall: This is an odd one for me. I like it a lot in the imp, but I can't help but associate cedar with hamster cages, and I don't want to go around smelling like a hamster cage! I think I either need to get a hold of a scent locket for this one, or enjoy it in my oil burner where hopefully it will keep the rich, resinous, varied wood scent of the imp.

In the Imp: Clean, fresh, like a weaker Szepasszony. Wet on Skin: Doesn't really smell like anything, I just feel a bit of sharpness Drydown: If I try really hard, I can smell something sharp, but it seems my skin eats this up. Final thought: I'll stick with Szepasszony for a clean, aquatic scent as there's not really much to this one one me at all. I like it as a concept though, shame it didn't work.

In the Vial: Carnation like woah. Wet on Skin: Carnation is still strong, but I can also pick up the rose faintly. Drydown: The carnation is still strong and rose has really come out without being heady. The tea sits just underneath, which is what seems to keep the florals delicate and not overpowering. There's a bit of spice to it, but very little. Overall: It smells wonderful and beautifully floral. It is a very delicate, feminine smell. I love it, and while it is not the best fall or winter scent, I will definitely be getting a bottle of this come spring time.

In the Vial: Very, very sweet. I can definitely pick up some almond, and maybe a touch of cherry. Wet: There is an initial smell of sweetness that almost instantly fades, and a spicy richness that I didn’t smell in the vial comes up. Dry down: The spiciness becomes more prominent, and some resinous notes seem to come out to play after a few hours, I think I can smell a bit of amber. Overall, I like it, but I don’t know if I am going to get a big bottle of it. It’s a fun scent though.

The amber necklace of Freyja, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. Her magnificent necklace was bought from four Dwarves [Alfrik, Berling, Dvalin and Grer] at the price of four nights of her passion. When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man can resist your charms. A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle, and carnation. I am totally going to admit, I ordered this scent just for the name and was already determined to like it before I even got it in the mail, so this is one Vanatuar’s totally biased review. *g* And now that I have the disclaimer out of the way, I do genuinely love this scent. In the vial, it’s a warm, rich amber with the other notes softer beneath the amber, and at least on me, that’s how it stays. I’ve worn this several times before writing this review, and Brisingamen morphs relatively little for me. The amber stays strong and heady for several hours and the other notes stay faint on the edges.

In the vial, it smelled nice, like a mellow golden apple, but the instant it touches my skin, it starts to smell like plastic, fake apples. Like I'm wearing an apple scent of that old Lip Smackers kids chapstick from the 80s/90s. >.< There's not much of a dry down phase because it doesn't last very long on me, which is good considering. I'm sad because I wanted to like this so much. I think I'm going to try to age it and try it again. Otherwise, it shall be the first to end up on my swap/sell list. Or maybe I'll browse the forums on what people do with bpals they don't wear, come up with some potpourri or something. It's just unwearable on me.

In the Vial: Sweet, I’m really picking up the peach Wet on Skin: Soft and powdery with a hint of the other notes behind the powder, not as sweet at wet in the vial. Dry on Skin: The powder dominates when I actively smell where I applied it, but I’ll get a whiff of floral undertones, I’m guessing the heliotrope coming out, every once and a while. I notice as I’m typing this, the powder is fading more and the other notes are coming out. Ethereal is very much the word for this scent; I love it. This will make a very good spring and summer scent, so it’s a shame I bought it as fall sets in, but I suppose now I have something to look forward to. Moderate length, six or so hours later, it's faint but not gone entirely.

I got this as a frimp, and I’m really happy that I did because I have fallen in love with it! In the vial and wet on my skin, it smells rich and spicy and very, very strong. I’ve worn it a few times and have realized that it is very easy to over-apply this scent. As it dries, it develops a deeper plum smell as the spices fade a bit, allowing me to pick up other notes. Since it was a frimp, I had no expectations for it so I was just pleasantly surprised to get something that I really enjoy that I would never have thought to order myself.

In the vial, it was almost overpowering vanilla, though I could almost smell a linen behind it. Wet on my skin, the vanilla scent remained very strong, overpowering anything else. Dry on skin after a few hours, it developed a kind of powdery scent in addition to the vanilla. Overall, I like it and will wear it frequently, but I was hoping for something just a tad more floral.
