This is a pretty straightforward orange rind-cardamom scent. There's also a hint of ginger. Pretty, but I found it out of place with the rest of the collection...? I like that it's not too strong. Doesn't overpower a room.
-
This is ALL peach, carnation, orchid, and beeswax absolute on me. It's just... wow. I am floored at how pretty this scent is.
-
Breathtakingly beautiful. I get something honey-ish, vanilla amber, and lilies, with a touch of unusual florals-- I'm guessing myrtle and sunflower? Although, the honey scent could be the honey myrtle. This is stunning, and has quite an awesome throw on me. This reminds me of a lazy summer day at noon. Just... ugh. GORGEOUS. Instant top 3 for me.

Our Nightmarebane. Named after the Baku, benevolent Japanese spirits that eat nightmares. In Japanese tradition, nightmares are gifts from malevolent spirits; when you wake up from one, you may call, "Baku, please eat my dreams!", and if you are virtuous and merciful in spirit, the Baku will devour the evil, transforming it into a blessing of good fortune. Definitely lavender and something else. I don't think it's eucalyptus or anise, but it's... something like that. I put two tiny dots of this under my nostrils before bed, and fell right asleep. It was amazing... and normally I have a lot of trouble getting to sleep.

This was surprisingly subdued for a scent called "Wrath." It smelled mostly like watered-down dragon's blood... with a TINY, almost undetectable cinnamon note. This smells much better with a little inferno layered over it.
-
Straight up red cinnamon with almond. Me like. It's prettier layered over Wrath-- the dragon's blood adds some depth.

This is straightforward. Mostly sweet peaches, with a splash of amber and light musk. Meh. It's pretty but I don't love it.
-
Ooooh. I love BPAL's fig note. It's sweet without being hideously so. In this, I smell fig, mostly, patchouli, and something... deep green smelling. Great throw on this. It's pretty when my nose isn't pushed up to my arm, it smells like a garden of fig trees. Close up, this smells dark and green and lush, but it's not really me.

This is gorgeous! It smells like unripe banana and tropical flowers.
-
This is very pretty, but when I smell the imp in the bottle... I get 100% patchouli, and patchouli isn't even listed as a note. What??? Anyway, luckily this does not smell like patchouli on. It is very deep, heavy roses with musk. I don't get any amber.
-
On me, this is all frangipani and a slight jasmine undertone. No roses, sadly, but this is still quite beautiful. I love the smoky depth of frangipani flower.

This is so sweet and innocent, probably the only innocent blend I have from the lab! It's beeeeautiful. At first all I get is bergamot but then I smell cream, rose, carnation and a bit of honey and bergamot. Love love love.
-
Yup, definitely honeyed lilies, but it's not "lilied honey." Lily is the dominant note, but the combination is stunning. This is definitely REAL lilies. It has a gorgeous, warm smell. Very "orange." Reminds me of real tiger lilies, which are growing in my backyard. I love this. Big bottle scent for sure.

Sturgeon moon is a very sweet, lovely aquatic. I definitely smell the agave plant's sweet nectar. Definitely no tequila notes, just the light "green" sugary smell. I use agave nectar all the time in my tea so I definitely recognize the scent. Definitely fresh cucumber there, too. The Lab's "aquatic note" is there too, obviously, but this does not smell like a man's cologne. It's fresh and clean, but also sweet and green, too. Very much like the sweet breeze off of a green, murky lake.

Penumbra, when wet, is bitter, sharp, and STRONG. (Lavender and tobacco, I'm looking at you). Drier it becomes much more "perfumey" and piercing, but in a good way. It's very pretty. I can really smell the pomegranate. It's quite strong in the blend! Then I smell amber, musk, and lavender. However, the strongest note is the tobacco, but it is nicely tempered by the other notes. Well done, Lab! I wasn't sure I'd like this when I put it on, but I do. I love it.

Red Lantern (though I'm a little perplexed at a previous poster who put it on her SO, since it's a VERY feminine scent). It's got a very strong caramel component, but it's also smoky, sexy blonde tobacco. Oh yes. It's verrrryyy good.

Oh, this is beautiful. Even the dreaded red wine note. This smells like a red rose that has bloomed long ago, and is just at its fattest, reddest point before it shrinks and dies. It's full-bodied, and smells dewy and red. Beautiful. So sexy and womanly.

Wet: WHOA. SUGARY, SUGARY, SWEET ROSE. And is that booze I smell? Must be the "wine rose" note. Drydown: Ooooooh. What have we here? Fresh green cut grass and a bouquet of roses? Glorious. You have to wait for the drydown to get the green grassy-ness. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

The main notes in this are almond and saffron, especially in the wet stage. As it dries down, it's amber and saffron, with the sweetness of the almond and lotus. This is heavenly layered with Baghdad, since they're so similar, but the sweetness of this blend really helps balance the STRONG sour notes in Baghdad (the mandarin and very strong saffron).
-
wet: bitter, bitter saffron. OMG, is this going to be too sour/strong? Two minutes later: beautiful saffron, amber, orange, bergamot and rose. Mmmmmm. I love saffron... but only if it plays up the other notes. And it does here, though it smells scary wet. EDIT: Talk about skin chemistry change! When I wear this during "that time of the month" this turns into the most beautiful oriental rose fragrance with that lovely saffron note playing up the dominant roses. LOVELY.

OH MY GODDDDDDD. This goes STRAIGHT to my NUMBER ONE FAVE. This is GLORIOUS. GLORIOUUUUSSSS. Delicious red dirt, amber, vanilla, sweet ginger and clove, and yes, even a hint of the dreaded patchouli... but I LOVE IT in this! I NEED MOAR. NOW.
-
OH. MY. GOD. I ordered this for my mom, and I did NOT want to give it to her (but I did of course). It smelled like heaven. Literally. This has to be what heaven smells like. The moonflower is the first note I get, and then a crisp, pale, ethereal rose bud underneath. AHHHH. Instant favorite! I hope my mom loves this one, because I sure did.

This is, in a word: SINGULAR. Really outstanding and gorgeous. Wow. I get: earthy resins, and sweet beeswax with a creamy lemon note. This is stunning. I love it. Need a big bottle!
-
Whoa. This stuff is strrrrroooonnnggg. I had a hard time getting any orchid out of it, but I did get creamy vanilla and the undertone of stephanotis (which, I'll be honest, smells like some kind of poison). Smells gross, like plastic. Real vanilla orchids do not smell like this. Oh well.

This is gorgeous. I LOVE frankincense. It's one resin that is light and pure, unlike many others. It has a very "clean" smell, despite being a resin. Anyway, I also looooove rose, and this is white roses and frankincense. As the name would suggest, it is pure and angelic, almost ethereal. I can smell both notes equally. Throw is quite good so far. This is lovely, a keeper.
